This is the only video that I have watched from your channel. Just from listening to you talk you sound intelligent. After going through the comments you either do a great job of removing the ones that disagree with you or none of them understand why you were fired either. My opinion is you were the outsider that stepped into the “good ol boys” club and made someone higher up than you afraid that you were going to take their job. So they took the first opportunity to eliminate the competition.

Given most of us have experienced the loss of a job, regardless of the reason, I would say don't let this define you as a person or family. All things in life happen for a reason. sometimes the wrong reason, and maybe this is the best for you in the long run in terms of a learning experience. The right position will find you if you stay positive. Place your energies in finding the next career move as you did your last position by treating it as a job, start at 7Am and end at 7PM, that effort will pay off. Your right in moving on and forward, we wish you and your family the best.

I first found your channel from the "I got Fired" video. I then watched some of the Gutter videos as I was in the middle of cleaning my gutters also. I enjoy some of the TimeLapse videos but they leave me wanting more. Even in todays video, I was wondering what is he putting in that bucket. Then I was thinking that, that pressure washer is really spraying weak. Of course later on I could figure out you just sprayed on some kind of cleaner and then turned on the power washer to blast it off. I really want to be brought along with you and hear you talk more telling the story as you are doing things. If you have time. I watch the Channel, DRAIN ADDICT. The way he films his videos and brings you along keeps me coming back for more. I would love to see that type of interacting with your content. It's a little different but it gives you that First Person perspective. I would be interested to hear what you think of his filming style and if you think you could do something similar. Anyway, wishing you the best of luck with your business.

15:40 unfortunately it sounds like you need to learn to document document documents, that means even if you have a verbal conversation in the hallway or the bathroom the first thing you do is return to your desk and fire off an email to that person confirming the exact content of your verbal communication.

You should have said don't move on your own dime. if a company wants to pick up the bill for moving you somewhere and pay for all relocation expenses down to guaranteeing or even carrying financing on your new home and assuming losses on the home that you currently live in plus a 3 to 5 year golden Parachute by all means move, everything I stipulated is a corporate standard package for relocating an employee.. Anything less I wouldn't even entertain moving down the block for a company.

The only reason you got a detailed dismissal letter is because they knew they were firing you without enough cause and that you could and probably would come back and sue them for all of your expenses in moving your whole family

Any sales position selling heavy labor hours vs materials is very difficult. Roofing companies are hand to mouth. If your owed the $50,000 then sit with a good attorney. You need strong contracts for commissions. I have often thought a roofing consulting business would work in the commercial sector. Market your self to contractors and real estate professionals. Architectural firms .material streams.

What a farce! What kind of an imbecile makes an offer that requires someone to totally relocate and then allows a shallow shadow of a person wipe them out like this? Does their company statement include the fact that the company is obviously run by a group of apparent juveniles? Who does this? Complete childish behavior! Are there any adults in the company at all? Who started this business?

I want to know what Company. Texas is the most competitive roofing state, if they are burning sales guys they need to be named, shamed, and put out of business. There are plenty of legitimate reasons to fire someone, there is no legitimate reason to not pay what is owed.

I’m from Houston and the roofing companies in Texas are a joke. Texas is a right to fire state and companies take that to heart. They will fire and hire a new guy with the swiftness. That’s why you see a lot of roofing contractors, guys help build roofing companies and get laid off 2,3,4, even 5 times in their career and eventually get tired of it. You’re at an age where you can do that. Get your LLC and your certs and do it yourself.
