I bought this guitar about a week or 2 after finding this video. Had to come back and say that I love it. The neck feels so great, the pickups clean up nicely, but they also can get pretty dirty. Great for any music style honestly. So if anyone is wanting to get one, just do it, it's amazing.
They are unreal. For sub 1k can get an immaculate s style, t style, or hummy thing with all the bells and whistles. The quality of my Korean made c1 custom is hard to believe for the price.
You are a truly gifted guitarist, such a beautiful tone and style all that comes from your soul it is a pleasure to watch and listen, excellent demo and review that roasted maple neck looks beautiful and a joy to play thank you, Jonathan
Always great reviews, my brother! I now have 4 Michael Kelly Patriots, a Michael Kelly 53DB, a Hagstom Alvar, and most recently a Schecter PT Fastback IIB, largely due to your videos. It’s getting expensive watching, but I can’t stop! Peace and God bless! You inspire me to keep playing and enjoying the guitar journey.
I want to learn guitar so, I bought my first acoustic/electric at Guitar Center the other day and then a friend says, "Hey! I didn't know you wanted a guitar. I have a Schecter PT Van Nuys I'll sell you along with a nice little amp. I'll give you the guitar stand and music books for free. You buy the ukulele too if you want." So, come Monday, all these things will be mine! The Schecter was only used ten times. MAYBEEEEE.... some day, I can play like you. I'll be binge-watching your videos now. Wonderful artistry!
Damn Jonathan, your playing is so smooth and tasteful - thanks for the awesome demo. I have to be careful with your demos because you make all the gear sound incredible.
You (along with Schecter), have made me a covert to this brand. I'm amazed with the quality and wish I wouldn't have wasted time and money with other brands. Beautiful playing, also. It hits right to the soul.
this video got me hooked on this guitar, thanks so much for your thorough reviews after two weeks of owning one, at this point, it's becoming my favorite guitar to play. I'm obsessed with the neck, and the variety of tones, just through my cheapo fender mustang is unreal 😎🤘
Wow, it certainly is beautiful! I have two Schecter USA PTs and love them - finest guitars out there for sure! Your playing is exceptional and the tone you get....fantastic!
Thank you Jon as your video finally gave me the decision to purchase this guitar and I’m pleased to say it’s very similar to the one in you video 😂, the neck is a very nice blend of the fender tele and Mexican Stratocaster, just playing it unplugged I knew I had made a great decision, it sings with resonance and beautiful pure tones even for my abused ears- it also makes a real statement of why our best guitars have great woods and weight to them - no unwanted noise and the tremolo setup from sweetwater music holds tune better than the best I’ve owned, it’s not a fender sound or a shredder sound but a movable sound that can be changed to fit anywhere in music, as I’m sure you have owned expensive instruments so have I and at this point I could say it’s better than the fenders over the 2,000 $ price range hint-the push-push 72 custom tele reissue , now don’t get me wrong those 72 custom deluxe guitars are a feeling in the hand that is just right- thank you- for your channel your experience and a style of modest character that truly gives hidden talent a chance to emerge and grow .👍
I have watched this video review several times. I just enjoy Jon's playing but am also seriously considering this Schecter guitar . Thanks for a great video. Always a pleasure.
One of the cleanest looking guitars I ever seen. As a Schecter player myself, I approve. Not my style of guitar, but very stylish guitar. And it sounds amazing.
Really like how you approach your reviews. Also enjoy your demeanor. Well done, sir. And a new subscriber. Thank you. I should mention I purchased this guitar about a year ago and absolutely love it. Thanks again
Hi Jonathan, I mostly tune in for the Acoustic reviews (and playing). However, this was a great review and awesome playing on a sweet looking electric!! Thoroughly enjoyed it! Blessings from NC mountains! 🤟✌🏻
New subscriber here, such wonderfully expressive playing. Very tasteful! I’ve been eyeing Schecter’s for a while. Think I’ll be checking this one out soon 👍
What a beauty. Seeing this and the succes of the Nick Johnston, all I want now is a Classic single coil Tele from Schecter. They had one at some point (PT Standard) but it was discontinued a while ago.
there is the PT Special, which features a P90. Not traditional Tele pups, but single coil. P90 neck, Tele style in the bridge, with some cool parallel/series switching options
I have a lot of guitars that I want to get. A lot of them are Schecters. Like holy hell do they just knock it out of the park again and again. Can't wait to have the money to order this beauty, its right at the top of the list now.
Thank you for your video! Recently got this guitar and it really feels and plays great. One thing that I have read in reviews about this guitar is that it is heavy, but there was no numbers. My is 4kg and for me it's ok, I have used to play on Fender telecaster which was exact same weight. Might be useful for someone
Hi Jon, i realize this is THE guitar for me,Tele, 25,5 scale, 14 inch radius, humbuckers with split possibilities. And what a beauty.And...lefthanded. I have to try it out first but hope this will do it for me. Hope i will overcome the volumedrop and place of the 5-way switch in combination with the tremolo arm
When I get guitars with 2 humbucker especially those with splitcoil .. I’ll just treat them as a humbucker guitar. If I wanted single coil, I’ll get a strat.

Nice San Dimas style, aka Charvel style, Super Tele. I wonder why they didn't do stainless frets. Compared to the HB Fusion T, hope it delivers for more then twice the price. Thanks for sharing Jonathan
Beautiful guitar and wonderful playing. Is the neck similar to the schecter pt pro thin neck? I really like the thin necks of the schecter and charvel guitars. One more question :) Would you consider it more versatile than the pt pro?
I have one in the house right now. And to be honest, Jon is right about the volume drop. Very significant. The action is quit high when out of the box. Problem with my guitar was that the company sent me a used one with broken tone knob. The variations in tone seem nice, but with the volume differences it's unusable.
@@JonIsJustTooLoud i was very disappointed. As a lefty it’s harder to find good guitars. I grew bored with my Strat and began wandering the internet in search of something different. My wife said "ok, but it has to be DIFFERENT. Still do, but wow the price! I just can't justify it, I only have a few gigs per year, it's overkill. It's like going out on a group ride on a $10,000 road bike and only averaging 10mph. It is VERY modern, sometimes I still kinda fight with it but if I want jangly and traditional I still have 2 strats to play, but then I get sad because that Schecter neck is so much more comfortable. I might have gone for an Ibanez AZ but at the time they weren't really out and frankly the didn't show up on my radar.
