My nine-month-old stood on his own for the first time to get a better look at this guitar when you unveiled it and then he tried to crawl over me to get at the screen when you started playing. That's an awesome guitar!
I love the overall look of this guitar, the appointments are all fabulous, and the tone range is spot on! You could build a career with this one guitar.
WOW !! What a sweet PT series guitar. That baby is aesthetically beautiful and sounds awesome! I ordered the PT Special after you reviewed it. Looks like Schecter will be getting some more of my money. I really like the way Schecter puts the carves into their PT guitars. They don't disappoint their customers for sure. Enjoy playing that beauty Darrell. Also thank ya for introducing it to us all. Thank you to Schecter, too!!
Omg that’s perfect! I’ve been looking for a tele that has the elbow cut with a binding and wondering why no one has made one because it should be physically possible and boom! Here it is!
I don't even play guitar right now (I think I will try to learn it again), but I have to say I learned so much from your channel and appreciate all the work you put into your videos. So kudos from me, your efforts are highly appreciated. I think you one of the reasons I want to play guitar again.
Eh, to each their own. I played a 700 dollar schecter. The cr6 I believe? The pickups were hot I mean really hot which was kind of cool. But the guitar was a buzz machine. No matter how well you set it up it buzzed out the ass. Definitely gave me a bad first impression of schecter
@@beefnacos6258 I got a used 2010s schecter c-1 custom for 300$ made in Korea, it’s fantastic, it feels very solid. Stays in tune well, Seymour Duncan pickups not sure which ones but they sound great and clear. Never had much issues with buzzing.
I guessed Schecter! I love the PT Special, the Purple Burst Pearl is my dream. The Van Nuys ash body is so gorgeous, parallel for neck rocks and switched 2 singles is awesome! Way to go Schecter!
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL & it’s a SCHECTER Sounds wonderful Hope to see it off-n-on I used to spend summers in Van Nuys, CA - 70’s & 80’s - GOOD TIMES - I miss those days - long gone are those days
Bought my first Schecter C1 18 years ago and several Schecters since (I'd imagine Jerry Horton sold them a TON of guitars in that era, it is what sold me lol). The quality is unbelievable for the price. They basically come with a perfect setup out of the box and equipped with just about everything a player would want to swap the factory parts to straight out of the box.
That is definitely one beautiful guitar! I am a big fan of the roasted maple necks. I think they look classy. When done right, and this one is definitely right!
I feel like most people were put off by the overly gothic look most of the guitars from Schecter had before. Now that they've chilled out on it there seems to be more interest. That and they're just genuinely putting out even better quality guitars than they were before.
Man, that roasted maple neck looks really great with the finish/color of the body! Sounds really great and the pickup switching is really versatile too.
I was about to buy the PT pro you reviewed a while back, so this really throws a wrench into things. I’d love to see a comparison video between the two
Wow, what a guitar, schecter has done it again. What a great sound. And the looks are beautiful. I've always liked schecter guitars used to have an exotic star Loved it, but had to get rid of, still regret it to this day. Thank you darrell.
That's a beautiful guitar, and the Braun-face one too. I have two Schecters, Hellraiser and Elite, and they both look great, play great, and sound great.
What are the odds that you would show me a tele type Schecter guitar that matches exactly my desire for a tele with a vibrato and all the specs that I am looking for? And the U.S. government is sending me a check that should cover the cost, now, never mind the future taxes that will bury me, so all good! Thank you, thank you Darrell!
As far as T type guitars go, this one seems to be just about what I would consider the perfect one. Sure, it is not exactly the traditional layout, but in terms of sounds it can get very close to it with far more tonal variation and the extra flexibility of that trem. The awesome looks don't hurt either, apart from greasy paw prints.
Can you please use the same riff/lick for comparisons?? When you change riff/lick between its hard to know if it's the riff/style of playing that changes, rather than the pick up etc... Ta heaps!
Oh boy, what a sweetheart! Daryl, i am in full agreement. Schecter is the very best bang for the buck. And the only way some of us "regular guys" can get that high end feel!

Lovely looking guitar !!!! Ibanez have had this switching for years. I have tried to find the wiring for this configuration for a long time without using a special Ibanez switch. I have an old guitar ready to go if I ever find it.
I know i might come off as picking nits, but a Californian pronounces Van Nuys as “vaneyes”, one word... great looking guitar, and as always, love the attention to detail you always put into your videos!
Schecter has been my favorite brand since buying my first (of many) some 13 years ago. I'm actually considering a Townshend next, and this guitar will definitely have my consideration. My guess this guitar will hit the streets at $999-$1100, maybe as low as $899 if SGR feels generous.
Thanks for the video! A friend of mine has one she wants to sell me for a good price. It was only used about ten times. Glad I found this video to confirm that it's a great guitar! I don't even play yet and just bought my first acoustic the other day but will be getting lessons soon...

Schecter and Reverend guitars are some of the most underrated guitars in the business. That’s a great guitar.
Both are my new favorite brands, just happened to buy a Revered charger 290 and then a Schecter NJ hss. They are now my favorite guitars.
I could not agree more with your statement here I own both! The schecter is a Vintage Solo 6 and the Reverend is a Double Agent W.

Me too!
Thanks for the clean tones. It’s the way I normally play, and most demos go straight to overdriven tones. More balanced appreciated.
I think a nice name for that color would be "California Caramel." I like that Schecter has included all the comfort cuts. Thanks
or 'Maple Syrup' for Canada ... ?
Yup. I love that. Thanks for sharing Darrell. I’m really gasing for a Schecter. Such great value for the money and I love the PT series.
7:14 that is the most pleasant distortion I heard in so long
I have to say this is one of the most professional channels I've seen and you are super impressive and engaging!
That thing is ridiculously awesome. Love that contoured binding.
I love Schecter. Especially the PT. Contours, finishing, comfort cuts and great features for your money. They're tough to beat.
I'll by both van nuis models...the Strat as well. USD 1000 each. good deal.

Having lived in Los Angeles for more than a decade, this might be the nicest thing ever associated with the name Van Nuys. Certainly the prettiest.
I would have expected a guitar series named Van Nuys to be HEAVILY relic’d 😆
Hahaha no doubt!
I have to agree.
