It’s $19 extra for the metal bracket. Do you think this is what you were sent by Aocci? It might be worth trying to find out and clarifying for your viewers because there’s an additional cost if that is the case. I have to say I wasn't convinced when I first saw yours then I heard how much, for the money you really can't complain, so far mine has been solid as a rock and (including the mount) costs less than a Quadlock!

I bought one. I have fitted it to my Triumph Trident660, replacing my iPhone on a QuadLock vibration dampener/wireless charging head. I used the 12v lead supplied. I spliced the positive lead (red) into the cable powering the onboard USB socket (white), rather than going into the bike’s loom in search of a switched live. Negative lead went to battery negative. Because I want to keep the iPhone charged while I ride I added a Rockbros frame bag and ran a Lightning cable from the USB socket into the bag. After 130miles riding I can confirm that it works well.

About 30-35% on top of your normal premium. It's based on winter months being historically more harsh and therefore higher risk. The winters of late havnt been particularly cold and sometimes even mildish, which with heated seat and gloves would be fine for a ride out. My Tiger 800 costs me about £400 for a year bearing in mind that the bike cost 20 grand new due to 180% import tax and 25% vat so they ain't cheap here

Morning Andy, Good to know this is the only Aoochi model that I can see with USB charging functionality. I have emailed them to see if they intend to have USB charging on the others like the C6 & C9. Also if they might do a direct to BMW nav mount like Carpuride & Chigee. Will let you know their reply.👍 Having emailed them they confirmed the C6 comes with USB connection but it's not recommended to use as it can give variable supply causing the unit to reset itself. I guess this down to the extra draw from the camera which the C3 does not have.

You mentioned on the vid that it works with many apps including Calimoto but it seems Calimoto can currently on work with carplay and not android..they are working on it but not there yet..merely fyi. Personally, I reuse my old smartphone for this duty - got it in a quadlock, and tether to my actual phone's data (kept in my jacket pocket), and run calimoto. Perrrrrrfect and gives my old tech a new lease of life

I did some research, and it seems like the C5 Pro and C6 Pro come with a camera and tire pressure monitoring, which makes them a bit pricier. Using the 22% discount code TMF22, the prices are: C3: $92.82 (~£72) C5 Pro: $155.99 (~£122) C6 Pro: $170.82 (~£134) I think I’ll start by testing the C3 since it’s affordable and low-risk at just £72. Excited to see how it performs!
I got the C6pro on Lamb Chops discount code and it's outstanding value for money. Sony sensor 1080p cameras. Handy using the rear cam as a rear view mirror. The only issue I have is the GPS speed is locked in km/h and the tyre pressures in psi are just converted from bar so they can jump by 2 psi because of decimal rounding. The best thing is it gets my expensive phone off my handle bars. Love it. If you want the dash cams and tpms just go for it. You won't be disappointed.
Yes you can get other models with extra functionality but I wanted something simple to install. You are correct though, my link gives a 22% discount on ANY model in the range….

Doesn't need a vibration mount as it doesn't have a camera to damage like your phone has, and it won't switch off if your phone dies but you'll lose carplay.

Looks like a great deal. Question - as my bike lives outdoors in a carpark when I'm not riding it, can I remove this unit easily or is it wired in permanently? Excuse the ignorance but I've been googling for the last hour or so and can find nothing about whether it's removable or not.
Had one for a few months now, here in Australia, works great and the best thing is you can move it from bike to bike,just need usb power. Simple usb socket from eBay wire up to battery and you’re good to go.
Good review, a couple of questions, how much does it drain your iPhone Battery if the phone's not plugged into power and is there a way of using it as a Digital Speedo?.
Not sure I can answer those with any degree of expertise - I have a new iPhone 16max pro with a big battery and I've never noticed it drain the battery significantly but I'm yet to use it for a full day. Guess if you had a speedo app that works with Apple Carplay then fine!
I bought one on the back of the recommendation, however it came without the two small screws that secure the sun visor, I have e mailed the company but in the mean time does anyone know what size these tiny screws are Thanks in advance
I have the Carpuride version. Works fine, but losses the bluetooth signal when the phone gets too hot. So cannot leave the phone in the tank bag but have to leave it on a bike mount, which sort of defeats the purpose.

Well the chigee integrates with the BMW Mount a treat soI still use mine on that, the chigee is also arguably better built - it's just this is such good value in comparison I couldn't help but make a video about it....it's cheaper than a mount for goodness sake!

Morning Andy, as far as I’m concerned it’s a case of C3? P.O.! (See what I did there?😋) I already have a quad lock anti vibration mount so I can just use my phone directly for navigation. As for playing music through headphones on the bike, personally I think it’s distracting and removes part of the motorcycling experience. I also have a Beeline unit I can use on either my Honda Dax or Kawasaki Eliminator. Each to their own though and some people will obviously feel differently about it. My Christmas present is a Goldtop Submariners merino wool sweater in Ecru in their Black Friday sale down from £120 to £102. Gorgeous, heavy weight, warm and beautifully made will keep me warm on and off the bike.😁

I paid around €250 for the “connectivity” add on for my Triumph Tiger Sport and frankly the navigation is rubbish. Look forward to using this on both my Tiger Sport and my Interceptor.

Hi Andy, happy new year! Will you by any chance be reviewing the BMW specific Aoocci BMW 5.5 screen too? I already purchased the Chiggee AIO 5 Play for my GS, but man that Aoocci is coming in at less than half the price of the Chigee. That's what I call competition.
What an excellent unit, and what a price. Unfortunately, my Christmas and New Years present was a new furnace and water heater. As we're getting 2-3 feet of snow in the next 5 days. I guess this was a better no brainer for me. Lol. 👍👍

Morning Andy, Good to know this is the only Aoochi model that I can see with USB charging functionality. I have emailed them to see if they intend to have USB charging on the others like the C6 & C9. Also if they might do a direct to BMW nav mount like Carpuride & Chigee. Will let you know their reply.👍
Having emailed them they confirmed the C6 comes with USB connection but it's not recommended to use as it can give variable supply causing the unit to reset itself. I guess this down to the extra draw from the camera which the C3 does not have.

You mentioned on the vid that it works with many apps including Calimoto but it seems Calimoto can currently on work with carplay and not android..they are working on it but not there yet..merely fyi. Thanks Andy, I have been impressed with the functionality you have shared on recent videos and today, and have ordered one for my RE650 Interceptor where I currently use my Garmin which I swap from BMW to RE, but thought this would give me benefits for the Android phone I have. I also have a twin USB outlet on the bars and a ball mount. So good to go hopefully!
Sounds good! The unit comes complete with the ball mount I showed so you don't even need to provide your existing one!
Personally, I reuse my old smartphone for this duty - got it in a quadlock, and tether to my actual phone's data (kept in my jacket pocket), and run calimoto. Perrrrrrfect and gives my old tech a new lease of life

I did some research, and it seems like the C5 Pro and C6 Pro come with a camera and tire pressure monitoring, which makes them a bit pricier. Using the 22% discount code TMF22, the prices are:
C3: $92.82 (~£72)
C5 Pro: $155.99 (~£122)
C6 Pro: $170.82 (~£134)
I think I’ll start by testing the C3 since it’s affordable and low-risk at just £72. Excited to see how it performs!
I got the C6pro on Lamb Chops discount code and it's outstanding value for money. Sony sensor 1080p cameras. Handy using the rear cam as a rear view mirror. The only issue I have is the GPS speed is locked in km/h and the tyre pressures in psi are just converted from bar so they can jump by 2 psi because of decimal rounding. The best thing is it gets my expensive phone off my handle bars. Love it. If you want the dash cams and tpms just go for it. You won't be disappointed.
Yes you can get other models with extra functionality but I wanted something simple to install. You are correct though, my link gives a 22% discount on ANY model in the range….

Doesn't need a vibration mount as it doesn't have a camera to damage like your phone has, and it won't switch off if your phone dies but you'll lose carplay.
Nice unit, saw the review John did on a different model a while back. However this one does the job at a great stocking filling price.

Question - as my bike lives outdoors in a carpark when I'm not riding it, can I remove this unit easily or is it wired in permanently? Excuse the ignorance but I've been googling for the last hour or so and can find nothing about whether it's removable or not.
You can remove it but you need to use a special tool (which they provide with the device) so it is a bit of a faff....not a "Quick Release" device....

Had one for a few months now, here in Australia, works great and the best thing is you can move it from bike to bike,just need usb power. Simple usb socket from eBay wire up to battery and you’re good to go.

Good review, a couple of questions, how much does it drain your iPhone Battery if the phone's not plugged into power and is there a way of using it as a Digital Speedo?.
Not sure I can answer those with any degree of expertise - I have a new iPhone 16max pro with a big battery and I've never noticed it drain the battery significantly but I'm yet to use it for a full day. Guess if you had a speedo app that works with Apple Carplay then fine!

I don't know I'm afraid - mine came in a bag in the box and are tiny...are you sure you just haven't missed them?
I have the Carpuride version. Works fine, but losses the bluetooth signal when the phone gets too hot. So cannot leave the phone in the tank bag but have to leave it on a bike mount, which sort of defeats the purpose.

Well the chigee integrates with the BMW Mount a treat soI still use mine on that, the chigee is also arguably better built - it's just this is such good value in comparison I couldn't help but make a video about it....it's cheaper than a mount for goodness sake!

Doesn’t work with the Wizwheel no, you would need the chigee (which I reviewed earlier) which is way more expensive for that.
Morning Andy, as far as I’m concerned it’s a case of C3? P.O.! (See what I did there?😋) I already have a quad lock anti vibration mount so I can just use my phone directly for navigation. As for playing music through headphones on the bike, personally I think it’s distracting and removes part of the motorcycling experience. I also have a Beeline unit I can use on either my Honda Dax or Kawasaki Eliminator. Each to their own though and some people will obviously feel differently about it. My Christmas present is a Goldtop Submariners merino wool sweater in Ecru in their Black Friday sale down from £120 to £102. Gorgeous, heavy weight, warm and beautifully made will keep me warm on and off the bike.😁
