    Fanbulleh is slow coming out of the blocks. He relies on his top end speed to catch the leaders. That used to work in his college days when he used to reel runners in and win by a tenth of a second. That doesn't work too well with two or three elite runners in the race.His top end speed won't catch Lyles.Especially since Lyles lost his last 100m race and is going to take it out on somebody.

      @stevie586 Місяць тому

      Seville slowed down? ROFL…he looked right before the line and maybe dropped one stride. This is nothing new…this is Noah’s usual pattern, however, this is going to change this year. He said he had issues with his reaction, we clearly see here his reaction was slow, and the result would have been different had he gotten a better reaction. However, it doesn’t even matter, because Noah is never this fast this early, and he’s never anywhere near his best this time of the year. He will get faster, obviously.

    • @stevie586
      @stevie586 Місяць тому

      @@dettanation537 I disagree. Noah’s problems were always his start and slow reaction to the gun. If you pay attention to Noah, he is rapidly protesting every single season. His frequency and top speed have always been insane, and now, he’s down to low 6.4 60M starts. He was stuck at 9.83 because of a slow start and reaction, but with him starting so fast he levels with Christian Coleman by 60M when others can’t even catch Christian until about 90M, Noah will definitely run faster than 9.83! Plus, again, the mere fact Noah is at 9.8 anything right now, when he never peaks early, proves he’s on track to run something stupid! You’ve gotta go back and look how Noah runs his seasons…he doesn’t run fast too early’. I say the same to folks about Elaine…she always opens slow like this…it was good that day and everyone was a few 10ths off, while she’s usually at 11.1 or 11.2 anyhow. Some of these runners don’t unleash until late season . Noah will definitely run faster than 9.83 this year!

    Yeah for once on fast time expectation in an opener, I agree with you. His taper seems to be consistent with a Worlds year except thank good he’s staggering 100m work. Ain’t no way he sprint endurance lol his problem is waiting to pull a he trigger waiting too long to close the staggers. WAY too much in the tank when he hits the tape. Understandable fear. Like I’ve said I think he’ll surprise himself in the 200m he’s a stronger runner than sometimes I think he even realizes. I hope the point of this cycle was to get him to fully realize his top end speed and trust his knees so now he knows to break the record in Paris, he’ll need to dip split under 10. Bolt is still obliterating him in the opening 50. Reaction time is literally pointless at these rates but if Noah can get going downhill sooner and actually get in Flow state mid corner, the record is in threat. I’ll be a little worried if he’s not the world leader after this weekend - or atleast under 19.7. And hopefully he doesn’t have to win with a lean. If he can be loose enough to appear to be “shutting it down” and go 19.65 with +/-0.5 wind, I’m putting the money down the next day for best spread possible haha

    Discount Fanbuleh, he’s too lumbering and sleeps for the first half of the race..when he wakes up, he goes like a rocket, but it’s ALWAYS too late..
    Lyles is great, but the ‘Oblique Incident’ really showed his character.. rather than: ‘Wow, Oblique ran really well, it’s gonna be hot in Paris!’ It was plain to see that his pride was wounded and he was ‘grasping at straws’ to deflect the shame and anger he felt. He did that very same ‘look’ himself when he pipped Knighton.. what’s good for the goose..
    I’m not liking the way Lyles is developing as a character in the sport..Yes, there is always a bit of braggadocio, arrogance and whatnot with sprinters, but greatness is bestowed not taken. He seems to be grasping at greatness. This documentary he is filming is no doubt feeling his ego.
    When I see the demeanour of Tebogo, Knighton & Hughes, I see much more humility. Bolt was way more humble, when he got beat, he got beat - he wouldn’t blame the gun, or some other equally fatuous circumstance - he’d just grimace and moved on..
    I’d love for Noah to have a BIG loss in Paris, and then to come back unencumbered by pride and arrogance, and get down to the business of running fast. Then, I have no doubt that what he so fervently desires will be bestowed upon him.

    Someone in the comment section was disparaging of Mr. Lyles after his 9.85 in Jamaica.
    I will not repeat the comment as it was pure opinion and thus counter factual.
    I listened to what Noah Lyles said about the on your mark, ready, set, gun fire sequence the evening when Savile ran a beautiful 9.82.
    One can argue that I am both blind and a Lyles fanboy. Both things are true. But a third thing can also be true...
    Nostradamus points out what occurred in Jamaica. Thank you for putting fact into my blind faith.
    Noah plays a reaction time keyboard game on his channel. A guy he invited to test the game also had a faster reaction time than Noah 😯.
    I hope the person who wrote disparaging worlds after a Jamaican defect is ready to write praise when the time Nostradamus calls out is run in Noah's upcoming 200.
