on paper lyles realistically is the man but in the present no one can dictate he is the winner... ITHINK ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN ON ANY GIVEN DAY..
I mean maybe…but for this race Lyles is winning hands down
Well duh anything can happen…but he is the most consistent, its fair to bet on his odds…
Exactly.
Right this isn’t like 10 years ago when you knew Bolt was always the victor
🔥✊🏾M🤔s Def!!…👊🏾💯
19.56 season opener. You heard it here first
He's running a 200m & Sydney is running the 400m flat. Gonna be glued to the screen👌
It’s going to be a great weekend for track. With the pros competing, the NCAA finals, and Europeans going on, we’re going to be treated to some exciting competition.
Yup. And then there will be a 9 day wait until US Olympic trials:
June 5 thru June 8 NCAA Championships
June 7 thru 12 European Championships
June 9 NYC Grand Prix
Jun 21 thru 30 US Olympic Trials
Which competition is the one where the pros will compete?
Thx.
Yes sir, I’ve been watching the NCAA’s. Awesome!!
@@theobserver6493 All except for NCAA, and even a handful of them might be pros, not sure tbh.
@@rayflaherty3441 Thank you
this reminds me of Trevor Noah's standup where he spoke of how Americans are all about Stats when it comes to sports. I mean the detail in the stats and the whatifs are astounding!!
I was in the stadium for that Devin Allen DQ and it was ridiculous! He wasn't even the first person out of the blocks. It was the World's in Eugene and he's a former UO Duck.
Still crushed about that one. It was his best chance. Now he’s basically out of the sport.
@@cjcurtis8944 He'd been running great times that season and winning. I don't care about those f'ng blocks. You may recall in 2021 Olympic Qualifiers the blocks went off six times in a row for the Women's 400 hurdles. The track temp that day was 144! All of them having to sit in those blocks six times led to bloody knees. No one was disqualified because the blocks software for those blocks was glitching. Women don't false start in 400M races.
I think he's a gonna run FAST here. I think after coming 2nd in his last race, he's ready to stamp his dominance in this 200m. I'd guess 19.6/19.7 range... with an outright win.
Obviously anything can happen but this is not the strongest field, so my money would definitely be on Lyles here.
Fanbulleh is slow coming out of the blocks. He relies on his top end speed to catch the leaders. That used to work in his college days when he used to reel runners in and win by a tenth of a second. That doesn't work too well with two or three elite runners in the race. His top end speed won't catch Lyles.Especially since Lyles lost his last 100m race and is going to take it out on somebody.
Doesn’t work in the elite world of track and field at all.
@@nordmyrie4195 it works well enough to get him to the finals. But to be honest fanbulleh was a like a rival of boling and we know he isn't even fast enough to make the US team and neither would fanbulleh be fast enough if he was American
Winning time: 19.5s by Noah Lyles.
Plain and Simple.
I am predicting between 19:75-19:96
@mabotiyn, that's only if there will be heavy headwind
19.6 sounds about right, keep in mind this is his season opener for the 200
@@mabotiyn That's slow as hell
@@r2-senpai234 20.06
Yawn. Same GUN for EVERYBODY. Still doesn't explain the loss except Seville was BETTER on the day.
That’s why we broke down the potential times of both Seville and Lyles. They both ran awesome but the starting gun MAY have played a role.
@@TotalRunningProductions Hmmph. When has Lyles ever lost without it being some complaint/excuse?
When it's Lyles it always comes down to something else other than himself not to run WR every time. He keeps saying he's better than Bolt, but can't even get close to his times. He likes to talk but he should run fast instead.
@tamasbrenyo1348 You have a great imagination..... he's never once said that he was better than Bolt... he only said that he's chasing Bolts record in the 200m
@@bluesmoke2 he announced multiple times that he would break the record = he is faster/better than him. But he failed to do so.
the research team for this channel is so goated! annual cross comparison of reaction times. 😂 i bet y'all have stats on their spikes over time
Yes, but the most important stats being monitored are weight, frequency and viscosity of bowel movements pre and post race.
Actuallly quite poor, and they get their data wrong quite often. Whatever creates more hype that's what they use. And they're so bias with their analysis...
Seville slowed down and Noah was still pushing, he even leaned on line. Y’all need to stop 😂😂😂 💪🏾🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
Facts
Seville slowed down? ROFL…he looked right before the line and maybe dropped one stride. This is nothing new…this is Noah’s usual pattern, however, this is going to change this year. He said he had issues with his reaction, we clearly see here his reaction was slow, and the result would have been different had he gotten a better reaction. However, it doesn’t even matter, because Noah is never this fast this early, and he’s never anywhere near his best this time of the year. He will get faster, obviously.
@@stevie586 bro is pb is still not going to drop his top end speed isn’t for 100m so i don’t see him breaking out of 9.83 that’s is best ever top speed
@@dettanation537 I disagree. Noah’s problems were always his start and slow reaction to the gun. If you pay attention to Noah, he is rapidly protesting every single season. His frequency and top speed have always been insane, and now, he’s down to low 6.4 60M starts. He was stuck at 9.83 because of a slow start and reaction, but with him starting so fast he levels with Christian Coleman by 60M when others can’t even catch Christian until about 90M, Noah will definitely run faster than 9.83! Plus, again, the mere fact Noah is at 9.8 anything right now, when he never peaks early, proves he’s on track to run something stupid! You’ve gotta go back and look how Noah runs his seasons…he doesn’t run fast too early’. I say the same to folks about Elaine…she always opens slow like this…it was good that day and everyone was a few 10ths off, while she’s usually at 11.1 or 11.2 anyhow. Some of these runners don’t unleash until late season . Noah will definitely run faster than 9.83 this year!
17 medals in the 100m & 200m out of this past 13 Olympics have been won by Jamaican born sprinters, & that's ignoring Ben Johnson in 88.
MIND BLOWING!
The title of the video doesn’t match the description of the content of the video. I read the title and thought he broke some record
Yeah the title is misleading.
Yeah... welcome to the channel. Lol
Ayyy fire preview :)
Noah is still the favourite because Olympics involve running rounds and then putting on a show in the finals. I don’t see anyone beating him at that.
Letsile Tebogo. Remember the name.
Stupid comment all of them are professionals they have been doing rounds before it’s nothing new
So you telling us that Noeh is the only one out of all the other competitors who can run rounds?? Rubbish
everyone must have forgotten he didn't even qualify for the 100m team in tokyo.
even if he had the same reaction time as oblique in the racers grand p still he would have lost that race by 0.01 seconds, so lets just dont blame the gun or the arrangements and accept the fact that he was not the best in that line up that day.
I think most Lyles fans accept Oblique was better that day. But also remind Jamaican fans not throw ticker tape parades over this one win for Seville. Remember it's about racing and it's game on. Whatever the times are so be it.
I like the new tunes :)
Appreciate it my guy
That race had the fast gun start so impacts the quality of the race
So... what were we wrong about????
These passive aggresive titles, man...
FS should be called by the eye. THEN check the screen. Like football. Ref makes a call, then it's checked on the replay.
lyles in 19.70... he'll run as fast as the competition can push him... nothing more than that... he's saving himself for the olympics...
Big facts
19.48 is my prediction
Right this is the comment
“Anything can happen in this 200m race.”
Bruh. What do you mean? Noah Lyles is racing against bunch of nobodies, except for Joseph Fahnbulleh. And it’s obviously not going to be a close race.
19.5s for Lyles for the win. Easy.
I like how Anna Hall shows up at these meets where they don't have heptathlon and is just like "I'll have the sampler."
5:34 sometimes people criticism don’t even make sense, cause he just tied the 2nd fastest time in the 150m and was crazy solid in that race 🤷🏽♂️🤣.So no I doubt he’s lost his endurance
Nobody can "react" to the gun in .105 seconds. Hughes did not have a "perfect" reaction time, he had a near perfect guessing of the gun.
6:10 props for the Hungarian pronunciation of Budapest haha as an American covering a racing series around the world, I almost never hear that said correctly (IMO atleast)
Yeah for once on fast time expectation in an opener, I agree with you. His taper seems to be consistent with a Worlds year except thank good he’s staggering 100m work. Ain’t no way he sprint endurance lol his problem is waiting to pull a he trigger waiting too long to close the staggers. WAY too much in the tank when he hits the tape. Understandable fear. Like I’ve said I think he’ll surprise himself in the 200m he’s a stronger runner than sometimes I think he even realizes. I hope the point of this cycle was to get him to fully realize his top end speed and trust his knees so now he knows to break the record in Paris, he’ll need to dip split under 10. Bolt is still obliterating him in the opening 50. Reaction time is literally pointless at these rates but if Noah can get going downhill sooner and actually get in Flow state mid corner, the record is in threat. I’ll be a little worried if he’s not the world leader after this weekend - or atleast under 19.7. And hopefully he doesn’t have to win with a lean. If he can be loose enough to appear to be “shutting it down” and go 19.65 with +/-0.5 wind, I’m putting the money down the next day for best spread possible haha
He will run 9.76, and 19.25. Bolt will continue being the Fastest man alive
9.84 & 19:45
@@ivaccowdseem a bit more realistic, but I would say 9.80s for Lyles in the 100m.
We will have to wait and see, but 19.25s does not seem possible.
@@Yes_I_c4n he ran 19.31 already. And now looks faster, he could it
@@danielarreola1326 You guys keep talking about 19.31s like if that was not an anomaly or anything... 19.31s was an anomaly and also that was back om 2022. Last season Lyles was slightly slower already in the 200m, despite being faster in the 100m...
I just went to see the World Athletics 100m list (senior, men) and saw Benjamin Wyle at NUMBER ONE with a time of... *1.33* ????
Well he lost one race against one of the best I don't see him as slower at all.
Bro u maked a vid about my comment on the racers grand vid lol
I think the quick start by the starter should be adopted by all starters, because it should greatly reduce false starts. A too long pause between set & go increases the possibility of a false start, I think.
There's that point between too long and too short...
@@JappaKneads I watched again, and definitely not too short to me.
I’m sure elite athletes know what’s too short
@@jayure1346 Interesting that Lyles was the only "elite athlete" complaining, that I know of.
How havent you uploaded about the 5000m diamond league race?!? massive personal mbest
Zharnel’s superquick reaction explains why he got false starts in the past. Looks like he’s harnessing it to his advantage lately
WHERE IS ERRIYON KNIGHTON?
United States championship
I think he'll win, but it will be at around 19.9. Also in the NYC Grand Prix (Sunday) look for Sydney in the 400, Gabby vs Elaine in the 100, Wayde vs Kirani vs Boling in the 400, and Gabby vs Jenna in the 200!
19.9? Why so slow?
I’m guessing around 19.7. He doesn’t usually run slower than 19.9 in one offs
@@MrPanggs Season opener. That would make him 5th in the world this year, which is not bad in a season opener.
He going to win..he's running against a bunch of nobodys

Where’s Erriyon Knighton?
I asked the same question in the comments. Google doesn’t give me anything
We should ask the loud mouths that were predicting his annihilation of Lyles about 2 years ago
@@dareletwell he did just run a faster time than Lyles has ever run when they Said that and he broke bolts u18 wr
He must have had an injury he's pulled out of every race so far in the spring after the relay race. Might not have been a huge season ending one otherwise they he might have announced it.
@wesleyowens4089 Maybe next time not to be quick to judge. U18 records don't always translate to performances in the senior division. There are many record holders in senior events who do not hold the junior record in the same event.
Noah all the way baby!!!
Your support is not only needed it is an absolute necessity.
Stand by our man after a win, after a draw, and most firmly after a defeat.
Do someone ask, what was Bolt's reaction time in his 9.58? Mayby I'm the only one who doesn't know 😆
If I remember correctly it was .146, one of his best reaction times.
Anyone know what’s going on with Khighton ?
Season opener if he gets a good start we will receive a time of 19:6?
TRP fanboying Lyles once again, loool.
I thought Noah ran a 9.80 flat when he beat Coleman in that race interesting 🤔
Can someone explain the "0.1 secs" too fast reaction time DQ? I've run track my whole life and I've never heard of this...
It's based on a study that basically states that no human can have an auditory reaction to the gun faster than 0.1 seconds but many have speculated this too be too slow for world class athletes. I've actually advocated to lower this to 0.08 seconds
@@TotalRunningProductions This should not even be a rule. It should only be you can't jump before the gun....Is this relatively new?
it would probably be a balance between "I wanna know where I am by now" and "I dont need to go all in" so my guess is that he will run around 19.75/19.70
Seville is the Walter Dix of 2024
If the sat command was spoken by the start you just gotta be ready to react. Thats why other athletes in my opinion false starts because starters let them set in the block sometimes too long. He was distracted to know other athletes weren’t in their set lol.
He might run under 20 sec.
Why is it an automatic disqualification if you have a reaction time of under 0.1 seconds???
I see no logic in that rule.
Discount Fanbuleh, he’s too lumbering and sleeps for the first half of the race..when he wakes up, he goes like a rocket, but it’s ALWAYS too late..
Lyles is great, but the ‘Oblique Incident’ really showed his character.. rather than: ‘Wow, Oblique ran really well, it’s gonna be hot in Paris!’ It was plain to see that his pride was wounded and he was ‘grasping at straws’ to deflect the shame and anger he felt. He did that very same ‘look’ himself when he pipped Knighton.. what’s good for the goose..
I’m not liking the way Lyles is developing as a character in the sport..Yes, there is always a bit of braggadocio, arrogance and whatnot with sprinters, but greatness is bestowed not taken. He seems to be grasping at greatness. This documentary he is filming is no doubt feeling his ego.
When I see the demeanour of Tebogo, Knighton & Hughes, I see much more humility. Bolt was way more humble, when he got beat, he got beat - he wouldn’t blame the gun, or some other equally fatuous circumstance - he’d just grimace and moved on..
I’d love for Noah to have a BIG loss in Paris, and then to come back unencumbered by pride and arrogance, and get down to the business of running fast. Then, I have no doubt that what he so fervently desires will be bestowed upon him.
Great video. Noah Lyles will win gold in Paris 2024. And I will win gold in Medal winners 24 on Steam😊
I agree that Noah will probably use the loss in 100m as a motivation to demolish his next race.
I think we'll see a 19.4-19.5 by Noah
Noah at 19.6
19.46
Wait, Noah was pissed in that 100m??
Just imagine then what he could run sober! He definitely gunna run 9.4 at Paris
19.52 for Lyle’s
Someone in the comment section was disparaging of Mr. Lyles after his 9.85 in Jamaica.
I will not repeat the comment as it was pure opinion and thus counter factual.
I listened to what Noah Lyles said about the on your mark, ready, set, gun fire sequence the evening when Savile ran a beautiful 9.82.
One can argue that I am both blind and a Lyles fanboy. Both things are true. But a third thing can also be true...
Nostradamus points out what occurred in Jamaica. Thank you for putting fact into my blind faith.
Noah plays a reaction time keyboard game on his channel. A guy he invited to test the game also had a faster reaction time than Noah 😯.
I hope the person who wrote disparaging worlds after a Jamaican defect is ready to write praise when the time Nostradamus calls out is run in Noah's upcoming 200.
Can we get some new NCAA talk? I don’t know I feel like everything said in this video has already been said at least 3 times, whereas no talk about the championships this week. Cool preview, but I feel like it doesn’t take 8 and a half minutes.

Didn't you also think that Sydney might be going for a world record in ATL at the Edwin Moses meet? Just saying. Lyles won't be doing anything but getting the rust off his 200m. Why would he run 19.60 and risk injury with the Olympic trials coming up in 2 weeks? Unless he just wants to have bragging rights to the world leading time...
In this upcoming New York Grand Prix Noah is going to win with flying colors. Nobody in that race will be a threat to him. I also feel he will be aiming for the world lead to take it from Kenny Bednarek.

Bolt could have run maybe 9.50 if he hadn’t slowed down. I’d like to see where Bolt vs Lyles.
Noah have not even ran sub .8 . Gtfoh
First of all Bolt ran through the line when he ran 9.58. Also even when he ran 9.69 in 2008 and celebrated before the finish line it would have been a low 9.6 at best. Lyles has no chance against prime Bolt nobody does. Tyson Gay, Yohan Blake or Justin Gatlin they are all better than Lyles and all of them were far away from Bolt.
Bolt jogging through the heats? He only actually runs on the finals… Bolts don’t need stats, just watch him rubber band on last 50meters….

Joseph is quicker than 99% of all people on the planet, but he is not in the 1%, and can’t beat the 1%. Noah is top of the 1%. Noah is consistent crossing the line mainly 1st, occasionally 2nd. Joseph is happy with 4th, 5th, 6th on the global stage. He’s an ‘also ran’. Noah is a champion.
