Honestly, I didn't think a 44.2 from a 16-year-old was physically possible. Not just for him, but for ANY 16-year-old. It's impossible to predict his future potential, because there are literally 0 other people who have even been close to this at this age.
It's impossible but if I had to place a bet I would say he'll break the world record before he's 25.
He just has so much growing and learning left to do that ALL young sprinters figure out later.
A lot of us saw his potential to run a low 44 when he was competing at the U.S. Trials, but it's still crazy he was able to pull it off here.
@@QuaiChandler-nn5du He's already a top 50 all-time sprinter in the 400 at age 16. He's going to be DANGEROUS in 4 years
@@quantumfusion5957yeah give him time until the next Olympics and hes easily winning gold but world record may be in jeopardy.
@@suhaasvemuri7980I doubt the world record is in jeopardy
Just watch this kid running that last 100m in pure agony. Every fiber of his body is screaming at him, telling him to slow down or stop and he just keeps pushing until he crosses that finishline. At 16 years old, with this kind of determination and resolve, if he has the work ethic to match he's going to be one of the greatest ever. Unbelievable
Spot on. You can see the pain in his face, his mental fortitude is on another level
The Greatest ever. He's unlike anyone ever seen in this event and he's nowhere near his grown man body strength
love this comment
@@facereality0007 The greatest 16 year old. There's a long way to be a 43.03 runner like Wayde Van Niekerk.
@@vernonfrance2974 Not that long. 3yrs from now when he physically matures with his elite talent and experience..his times are all already insane for a 16yr old
He broke 45 for the first time at trials and he's already threatening 44!! He's gonna split 43 on one of these relays fo sho
he will split 43 on those relays
@@BlueHopi144They must put him in second leg
@@madamnoire7464 yup! Although it kinda seems he will be a great lead leg or anchor once he gets into his craft. Quincy has the traits of that person who will “go get you”, rather than being just one of the legs, although he must obviously settle for that on this level.
If you've run a 400 competitively before you'd have another level of appreciation for what Quincy is doing right now.
So true. I ran 400m at high school and my best time was embarrassingly slow compared to that. And your legs are shot in the last 100m.
Absolutely the hardest race I’ve ever ran. This guy is next level.
Amazing to see
I did, I know exactly how it feels.
Pure agony.
Yup I was thrown into one whether I wanted to or yes😂😂😂😂. I had never even properly run a 200 metre race before but they just needed someone and threw me in there.
I didn't know any better, so I went out blazing instead of pacing myself. I only made it to 150m before my body shut down and I felt like I was running in reverse😂😂😂😂
The skill and endurance it takes to run that is insane.
This kid is unbelievable he may be the next big star in the men’s 400 meter this is gonna be his year of rewriting the record books
New Wayde Van Neikerk? 👀👀
Did he make the usa team?
The relay. He probably would have made the team in individual if they hadn't put him in lane 2
@@stephentrader9142its lane draw he earned, but I agree he could have ran it faster on an outer lane
He's already the next big star in the 400. lol He's about to run sub 44 before age 17. UNREAL.
Making grant holloway speechless is crazy work
Grant Holloway is also a long time family friend of Quincy Wilson so it makes sense lol
@@BluSeventyTwo, really? Didn't know that. Their age difference is huge.
He's gonna break 44 before he turns 17, wild.
This shit is fake!!! It has to be! Quincy Wilson was grown in a lab.
too much of an ask
He might break 43 in future
I'm from the future: he will never run faster
@@fanaticsoccersuper his birthday is January 8th he has plenty of time. 5 months It's possible.
Quincy Wilson 16 years old we are watching greatness in the making he just ran 44.20sec. when I first saw him at the Penn relays, i was like this kid is fast, and has the stamina and endurance to go even faster once he cleans up his form. Wow... i hope he surrounds himself with some good people
that's the thing I noticed too.. hes running 44.2 and can likely squeeze another .4 or .5 off that if/when his technique cleans up
16 years old and don't have a drivers license yet but he is already getting speeding tickets LOL.
Tough neighborhood he lived in
The right can of speeding ticks🎉
He looks like a little kid running next to them and still is THAT GUY!!! LETS GO YOUNGIN PRAYING FOR YOUR SUCCESS!!!!
This is honestly unprecedented level of performance from a 16 year old in the world of athletics. What the heck.
Seeing the size difference and how he held onto first just doesnt seem possible.
Make it make sense!
Right. That’s a grown man! How could I compete with this kid at 16 😫😂. Amazing to watch
I imagine he’ll get a little taller too
44.2 off start is unbelievable! I ran the 400 in HS & college and this record is something you can only fully appreciate if you've run this event. Congrats Quicy! All the very best to you, Bryce and the new generation of champions.
Wooow Woow Wow...with wet track... Keep it up little dynamite King Wilson and keep inspiring others!!!
Quincy’s stature and running style looks like many other school kids but his grit and speed endurance is out of this world. Wonder what his times are like in the shorter sprints.
I ran at Penn State on a scholarship for the 400 meter hurdles and its shocking to me to see a kid at his age run these times. The craziest part is his form at the end of the race completely breaks down BUT he's still running that fast.. Tons of room to grow. I just hope he stays healthy and humble. Sky is the limit and we are all rooting for him.
I really love that Grant Holloway interviewed him and had so much enthusiasm doing it! Quincy will break the world record by his senior year!
Slow down
i mean… if he grows a few inches its possible 😂
Not necessarily an accurate trajectory. Look at the other young phenoms who did not continue on to achieve world record feats.
Definitely not. Improving starts to slowdown by this point. Quincy Wilson will probably get the WR based on this trajectory but probably not until he’s 20/21 years old
@@samanimations2002 43.03 is a world away from 44.2
All I can say is YOU GO Young Man………….16yrs that’s Amazing determination🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 show them in Paris what you got young man God bless you and your family‼️‼️‼️🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾❤️
I am blown away. Quincy has no idea how fast he is. He toes the line and runs with everything he has each time. We have no idea how fast he can become. I won't predict times for him because he will break them anyway. Just so much fun to watch. Mind-blowing!!
Quincy Wilson’s form on the track cracks me up. He pelts down his lane like he’s running away from the devil. Love it!
Oh shoot! Running from the devil has me cracking up 🤣🤣
😂😂😂
He took escaping the neighbours dog into the professional racing 😂
To have Grant Holloway as impressed and speechless as he was says a lot about Quincy's talent.
Absolutely unreal. I was worried that he had (rightfully) peaked for the Trials and wouldn't see much improvement until next year but he keeps blowing my mind. I also absolutely love how Holloway interviewed him!
His coaching method is unconventional. His coach does not believe in peaking too early he believes that limits an athlete and if they have the talent just turn them loose and let em go. Looks like they are turning it up a notch now.
Quincy Wilson is my favorite runner
Quincy Wilson 400m
Weini Kelati 10000m
The difference in the physical sizes of Wilson and Deadmon down the stretch is 😳wow. Deadmon is a grown man, 27 years old 6’3”.
Crazy right! Can’t measure tho 💪🏾
Not just that look how much more comfortable Deadmon looked, once Wilson enters his prime he's going to be insane
That confidence is gonna take him to glory. I hope he can stay healthy because he's destined for greatness!
It brings a smile to my face to see such a young kid work so hard.
OK....I'm just starting to become speechless now over this kid. How is this even possible????
If this young man stays dedicated and focused and healthy and injury free, we could be looking at the world's first sub 43 second 400m runner. His potential knows no bounds.
I’m in awe. I am shocked to my core. I am absolutely in disbelief. Quincy will break 43 seconds in two years. This kid is outstanding 👌🏾
Wowzers he’ll definitely set a new world record in a few years…imagine him at his peak 22-26
people do get derailed by various things, health or life decisions. look at Mu atm
Image his mind and body after all these experimental / new / secret roids they're giving him that arent detected or tested yet. Hes hoping it pays off in commerical deals like Bolt no doubt. Poor guy, hope it isnt some Pfizer mutant trash. Is it really gonna be worth it for the epileptic seizures, heart issues or various problems he'll be riddled with after 40? (If he makes it that far?).
@@LamelKendrick you can say that about literally anything and everything and everyone in life at any time…how common are freak accidents or career ending injuries to an athlete this young in his career he’s not even a senior in HS yet and the point you want to make is “he may get hit my lightning and burn to death” come on bruh
Gone are the days where we would hear about Boiling each week from this channel, love it
Aren't they all Americans?
This boy has me in tears so so proud of him keep it up and it’s hard to do this to me
He might be the best ever 400 m ever in some years like Sydney McLaughlin level
Or maybe he is using a drug that they can’t detect as yet
Dummy comment of the year@@kissoonjohn1484
Micheal Johnson is still the American goat in sprinting 200/400M
@@derrickphyfiher1270In the 400 yes, but Noah has far surpassed him in the 200.
@justsomeguywithafox493 micheal johnson had no rival...he was goat... if there were a legit challenger during his era he would've had more incentive to run faster. I'd take Micheal Johnson over Noah any day of the week lol...remember Micheal Johnson had World Records in both 200 and 400m at the same time...never been done....still hasn't lol.
Damn! How does a 16-year old run 44.2, that’s nuts. Some kids get slower with more weight as they develop physically, he has a real shot 43s as an 18 year old, let that sink in. Hope he stays healthy, grounded and surrounds himself with good people. US track nation is rooting for Quincy!
He's had the same coach for 11 yrs I believe and just finished the 10th grade with straight As. Mom was a basketball and soccer star in college and dad played football for the Naval Academy. I think the older sister runs track for UVA now. Don't quote me but I think Quincy W also plays varsity football. Supposed to be really good as long as he doesn't get tackled. Ha.
In order to run 44.20 his 100m and 200m speed must be insane also for a 16 year old. Looking forward to the next few weeks in Paris for him and watching him grow and improve over the next number of years. Crazy respect for this stellar young man. Cheers from Canada!
Agree I was wondering the same thing. I mean it's essentially impossible to run 44.2 without being at least 20 flat (ish) and 10-10.2 capacity.
200m 21 secs. 100m 9.93 secs.
Probably no where near your thinking I'm afraid, maybe 20.5 at best, and prob around 10.5
I suspect he has an enlarged heart. It is the only rational for him to be running like this amongst grown men. He is fast enough, but his lung capacity takes him further at the same rate whilst others are tiring.
He hasn’t broken 10 in the hundred yet so def not 9.93 rn
Wait until he turns 20,the world record better be ready😂!!!
Olympics LA2028 unless another phenom pops up Quincy W is going to own the field of the 400m. We may see 42 secs for the first time. I hope he grows by then. Kid looks like he's in middle school.
He’s not going under the world record mark my word
@@GardenChessnobody will be marking your word
@@GardenChess what makes you say that?the boy is already dominant at this age.
@@GardenChess He's going to demolish the world record completely
Until recently this year, this would have been faster than the outright European record, is currently faster than the Oceanian record, is faster than the 3rd fastest Asian time and the 4th fastest south American. It is also faster than all but 19 national records in the world. In any country in the world, having an athlete of any age running with this caliber is something to be proud of, let alone from a 16 year old.
I’m so happy for him🎉🎉
Love this young King!! I’ve been watching him for years!! He’s always so humble & thankful for his God given gift!! I’m like a proud mom!! Keep God first, Quincy!! I can’t wait to see the other many blessings God has in store for you!!
Q. Wilson is amazing! I had never seen anyone run with their heart until I saw him run! God bless you lil man! You will do BIG THINGS!😄
The meet isn't even over yet😂
I watch his interview a few weeks ago and this young man is wise, sharp, and has a huge future
Most professional women cant even sprint 100m at 11.05 yet this guy does it 4 times without a break with a not fully developed body and form. I honestly dont know what to say. It doesn't sound possible and it doetsnt look like he is running that fast when you watch him. Speechless
I am scared of what this teen phenom is doing, imagine shattering your initial PB by more than 3 milliseconds in just 2 weeks. Wtf does that at 16?! Absolutely routing for this gladiator,I'm calling it from now in the next 2 years, when he becomes 18 and he matures packing on some muscles, the 400m WR of 43.03 that Wayde Van Niekerk set will be diminished, the lad has a potential of clocking in at 42.85🤞🏽🗿
He's been running the 400m 7 yrs old and competitively since 9 yrs old giving teenagers fits.
Milliseconds is thousandths of a second he’s beat his pb by more than half a second since the trials
@@GardenChessAffirmative,though he trimmed off more precisely 3.59milliseconds in such a short timeframe which is something I only saw Bolt did consecutively.
Congratulations Quincy Wilson Keep On Shining & Rise To The Occasion God Bless 🙌
Wow, hard to believe he is this fast at 16! And with his small physical stature it makes his super fast times against older, larger opponents even more impressive. 44.2, and 45s consistently! Hats off young man. Stay humble and keep running.
He is a great role model already.
Wait til kid brother is a full grown adult. Really hope he sticks with it for life and continues his reign of excellence. Extremely hard to believe he will only be 20 by the next Olympics. So much more you could say, kind hard not to get ahead of yourself talking about his potential.
Its incredible. According to world athletics stat sheets, this is the 3rd fastest 400m by an under 20 athlete, and he’s done it at 16 years old.
Just Amazing! He's exactly what the American Track and Field needs
God bless you Quincy! Will be watching you in Paris!
Another incredible performance by Quincy Wilson and Grant Holloway is a better interviewer than most professional at this.
This Kid is Ridiculous. I'm speechless frfr. 44.2? What??? This late into the season for him as well. WORLD RECORD is ALL his in 3yrs from now or less. GUARANTEED! He's unlike anyone ever seen in this event, and his, PR progression and IT factor is unreal. God Bless him hope for great health his entire career!
# He's The Future
Crazy hope all goes well for him
Me too. I am kinda nervous for him. He seems to manage the big races well so far but the Olympics is a totally different animal. I hope psychologically they have him prepared. Crazy sh*t man. 16 yrs and the Olympics? Totally insane.
That kid runs with two hearts.
Fantastic poise running with Deadmon who is absolutely no slouch. I’ve always thought sub 44 was impossibly physically for a youth athlete. He legitimately might challenge that.
I have been following him for years! Especially this year! He is so poised!
QW is my new hero period as I will pull from his actions in track and field when mentoring the young ones going forward. To sum it up in one word……
“FEARLESS”
congratulations young man.......
THis is so crazy town
My Eyes Will Be on You in the Paris Olympic, God Bless you Dear friend.
Congratulations!!! Young Man! Enjoy the moments !!!!
Thank you for sharing complete coverage of the race and the post-race interview. No analysis was necessary, unless to summarize and contextualize just how great this performance was among the pantheon of 400m performers.
Amazed by Quincy and also the way he ran that at the end with him wild form
That’s absolutely incredible‼️😮😮
Unbelievable. Not just tremendous ability, but tremendous heart. Wishing him all the best for a spectacular career.
I'm speechless!! This kid is just amazing.
Wow! just Wow !! We have a new star of the track here. I cannot wait to see what he manages to do over the next 10 or 12 years. Incredible, truly incredible !!
The truth is that if Quincy Wilson had had a better lane during the Trials, he would have validated his tickets for the 400m at the Paris Olympics.
Absolutely. They need to have him run the Paris'24 final in the 4x400m, not just the prelims. I'd have the kid anchor.
Excuse. You got to play the hand you are dealt.
@@goat7844yes but it would have benefited him more if he had a better lane
@@vincentscianna5559true but same goes for all the other runners.
OMG! I said the same thing. But he did clip off 3 of them to get 6th place. But for that he would not have been considered for the relay. Now it appears he is trying to make his case for a final spot on one of the relays. He keeps running the time he ran today he just may do it.
I STOOD UP WHEN I SAW 44.2!!
His running style is all over the place yet he's in the low 44s. Imagine what he'll be running when he smoothes out his up his running style 🤔

Omg congratulations lil bro
That was pretty impressive, give him about two years with a solid coach and good health,I don't see anyone in his review mirror. He 16 with a average running form and still clocks 44.2 is simply incredible
Quincy is an amazing young man!! Well coached. Very disciplined and poised as a young high schooler. In 10th grade I was nowhere near this level of maturity and dedication to anything and here he is beating grown men who are professional athletes. Unbelievable.🙏🏾✌🏾

Great job young man!! I pray continued success and definately a winning potential in Paris and your future.
I don't understand how this is even possible! 🙉
Consistently training the right way over a long period of time :) And now we have the pleasure of watching him run!

I was an ok high jumper in high school. Coach made me run the 4x4 relay at a meet one time because we were missing someone on the B team relay. Absolutely brutal. I’d ran them before in practice but never at a meet. It’s the 400 or 800 for most grueling event, and this young man just beat out fully grown men in their prime to make the Olympics… whew 😳
