Yo howdy man! I’m currently fixing up a badly redone repair job on my s14, and it had the rear panel replaced and some point and the seam sealer that used completely failed, really only surface rust under but it’s around the entire rear panel pinch weld seam. currently working on getting it all ground down and looking for suggestions for the best rust inhibitor/epoxy primer to hit it with after and then what kind of seam sealer did you use here? And would use suggest it for the outside one I’m doing? (Didn’t wanna have to buy a 2part gun)
Hey man! Sounds like you're in for a fun project. I use Dominion Sure Seal for my seam sealer, you can get it in a tube like I used here, or in a can to brush on. For the primer, I mostly used super acid etch primer by the same brand. It's cheaper than epoxy primer so I used it for all of my new panels pretty much. I have an engine bay restoration video that I used epoxy primer for. Not sure of the brand, I had it made up at my local paint store in a 2 part spray can.
@@RoadRoyals thank you so much for the response man! Definitely going to look into that seam sealer and different primers, I’m just trying to figure out the best way to make sure the rust is completely eliminated before priming and seam sealing
Thanks for keeping another one of these on the road bro! You just motivated me to get the angle grinder to mine
@@johnnyg9248 it's not always the most fun, but it's worth it in the end. Good luck 💪
Quite reasonable work, better than some repair shops
Starting this process myself, fingers crossed it goes well. Thanks for making a super informative and motivational vid!
Thank you! I'm glad it could help out a little bit! Good luck with yours soldier 🫡

Glad people save these cars, im doing mine slowly, is way more rotten, but it will be worth in the end, heads up!
A few saved here and there, but a lot more of them are scrapped! Worth it in the end is what I keep telling myself as well! 👍
@@RoadRoyals people should see this and other people builds as examples that you can beat rust. anyway good job waiting for more.
