Now that the Wertheimers are getting so obscenely greedy, and setting eye gouging prices for Chanel perfumes, I appreciate having other options that are affordable. I've heard the original Vicky Tiel is very similar to No5.
I’m 30, and I’ve adored No.5 since my early 20’s! I love it so much that I bought the EDT (because it’s closer to the OG 20’s formula) to wear for my elopement this past fall! That memory is now forever attached to it!
Another fragrance that is in the same genre as Chanel No. 5 but is much more affordable is Jill Sander No. 4, named after the German designer Jill Sander.

Hi My mom wore Arpege! She always smelled amazing! I really love aldehydes! I think Chanel N5 is a gorgeous fragrance I wore Jovan musk in high school and I still do My favorite Jovan fragrance was Women. This was great ! I need to check out Timeless. Now I see why I enjoy WindSong it definitely reminds me of Chanel N5 Thanks!😊

Chanel No 5 is not my favourite, but I'd like to recommend a light, bright, fresh flanker - Chanel 5 L'eau: in the dry-down, you get a nice, delicate smell of Chanel 5. Can be used day, night, office, hospital - everywhere, would be a great signature fragrance, too.

Thank you for your suggestions! I have some of these and I will look to try the others. I think you would like Chantilly by Dana too. Also, you could try Chamade by Guerlain, a soapy aldehydic with a sort of bitter note.
I think you should have a go at Cléa from Yves Rocher. It's simply wonderful, and one of my favorites fragrances ever. It's aldehydic, soapy and warm, slightly sweet but also ever so salty, like warm skin. It gets very often compared to number 5. In my opinion they're from the same family, but I very much prefer Cléa.
i was wandering through multiple perfumes from local store as a gift and among them was Rassasi Afshan after watching multiple Videos this one convinced me to Choice Rassasi Afshan is among them . other reviews mostly gave a So_So opinion about Afshan ,but this one is Absolutely perfect detailed Comparison review . i bought Jovan Musk For Man For Myself as well by The Way . and Sansiro Exsus Black which is a fine Fragrance resemblance of Abercrombie and Fitch Fierce appreciated for the video
Mom wore Windsong for years. To me, it's more woody-aldehydic, like L'air du Temps, and Fidji.... not as "round" and full as No.5 as I remember. It has been a long ago, though.
Another variation would be Chanel 22 (Les Exclusifs = expensive) which was launched one year after No 5 and smells similiar. I like it very much, but only have a 10 ml decant . I read on wikipedia about Ernest Beaux's development of this perfume, legal battles, recipe, ingredients, marketing and so on - so interesting.

My first experience with Afshan was almost horrible. I didn’t like it in the beginning. Then I put it on the shelf and forgot about it. One day I decided to give it a chance and for me it became very special scent. Now I’m pretty happy with Afshan and I find that it is a beast in terms of projection and longevity. On clothes it’s stayes like…forever
BTW, you should try Rasasi Esraa. It's an airy, creamy, yellow floral. Baghari by Robert Piguet is a powdery dream, too. A cosy, orange infused powder scent, with white florals... like the best orange cream-cicle scent imaginable.
Great video! I love 'similar to' suggestions as it's fun discovering new scents and can often lead one down a frgrant rabbit hole! I love No.5 EDP but I get a real kick out of the EDT, as it's got more fizzy energy (if that makes any sense!) - are there any here that would lean more towards the EDT vibe?
