    The BEST vid series on this pump I’ve found. This has helped me a TON to understand how this works and what is likely jacked up with my pump at the moment. Thx!!!

    Hi, thanks for video. As i understand, VE pump doesn't have any screw for lock, you just remove down from vehicle?

    Also remember new LSD(Low Sulfur Diesel) has much less lubrication (15ppm) than when those were designed, which is why they get wiped out sooner. Add little oil in w/fill-up to get more life out of mech pumps.

    you should take all the videos on this pump and put them all in 1 video it will get more views. monetize the channel if you havent already then it might give you some change to do more stuff with.

    So what exactly does that screw and lock nut on the front of the pump do. The fly weight cylinder spins on it and it seems like it limits max throttle. I vaguely remember it being an idle screw. I rebuilt a pump sometime ago and I'm not sure if I set that screw right. Do you know what it does and how to adjust it?

      There are 2 bolts with lock nuts. One is the idle screw, on very top of the pump-top very visible, right beside the boost diaphragm and you can see basically the entire bolt. The second is the fuel limiting bolt, which you can only see the head of the bolt and the jam nut, it's on the surface of the pump-top right above the 6 injector line fittings (usually much harder to see when the pump is in the vehicle).

    I have an issue with I think the injection pump v e 12 valve the truck runs perfectly when it's warm it will not idle until it's warm I'm wondering could it be the governor spring to loose

      Do you happen to live in a cold climate, and it happened recently? Summer fuel will get very thick in the winter, and the inside of this pump is lubricated with fuel. Could cause issues until your pump and fuel heater get up to temperature

      @@bradymashak231 I bought the unit afew weeks ago, replaced the fuel pump all the sensors, fuel filter I don't know what else to do maybe check the indexing? But if that was off it would not run good at any time?

    Hello friend.
    What could be the problem ,when all of the southern the RPM goes up like crazy while you driving?
    One of my friend told me that it could be problem with the "fly weight"-is that right?

    • @bradymashak231
      @bradymashak231  3 роки тому +2

      Did it only happen once and now it is broken? Or does it happen randomly? Its definitely related to the flyweights, but it could be the governer spring, or the fuel limiting screw has been turned in too far

      Thank you for your quick response...
      To mee looks like the fuel limiter is turned into all the way so I'm beginning from there...
      Otherwise the fly weight moves smoothly but my governer spring looking like a difficult sistem...
