Joshua Romero it's highly unlikely that a King would leave His Kingdom just to die... a more plausible theory is that the island named Vanaheim is the Alpha's Ice Kingdom.. with its icy breath, the gentle giant build its nest where all of His subjects live under His care and His command... Kings and Queens are often buried in the palace complex of their Kingdoms.. the Bewilderbeast mentioned could have died in Vanaheim.. and many months after he died, the ice walls that surround his kingdom melted completely, thus prompting his subjects to flee Vanaheim in search of a new place to live where they could be safe... all of them fled except the King's most loyal Knights... the Sentinel Dragons.. they stayed in Vanaheim to protect the sacred tomb of their King.. Someone should make a side story of that Bewilderbeast's final moments.. Where His subjects are extremely worried about the health of their King, the Sentinels are getting ferocious and protective of their Kingdom.. the baby dragons who would not listen to anyone stopped being annoying because they too feel that their King will leave them soon... and during his last moments.. every single dragon in his Kingdom gathered around Him.. trying to cheer their beloved King... and in his last breath, they all wept in silence... I think the sentinel dragons were also dragons that were under the influence of the bewilder beast but were much more attached to it so they never left the bewilder beast's side and they evolved and learned eventually becoming what they are today.

I reckon that the Bewilderbeast skeleton on Vanaheim used to be another dragon sanctuary like Valka's, but when it died something happened and dragons were still naturally attracted?
StormPlayerGamings note that the sentinals did not know of a night fury the first time untill after so mabey the night furys have there own thing for death but we may never know
Joshua Romero, Storm is talking about is that when night furies die of old age not their entire species going extinct. And Storm you forgot the theory that Night Furies aren't from the Archipelago.
Gods, imagine how much power and influence Vanaheim’s Bewilderbeast would’ve had. How big it’s flock would’ve been. The size of its nest. The *range and reach* of control it would’ve had. It probably would’ve created entire massive glaciers every time it would breathe it’s icy breath.
GUYS!!! When this big Bewilderbeast died it left a power vacuum amongst the Deadly Natters, Hidious Zipplebacks, Terrible Terrors, Groncles, Monstrous Nightmares and a few other species. What if the dragon that took the place of this massive Bewilderbeast was....get ready for it.... THE RED DEATH!!!!!! We don't know when RD came to power or when Big Bewilderbeast died. It could have been around the same time!!! Like if you agree please!!!
The skeleton is already fossilized. That takes thousands, if not millions of years. I don't know how old a red death can get, but I doubt it's that old.
No I don't think so, there are way more than just one Red Death. They are known as the queen of the dragons and in Httyd 2, Valka said every nest has its queen
Have you ever noticed that in the introduction of “ Dragons Race To The Edge “ the Edge is in the shape of a sleeping dragon. I am a a huge fan of HTTYD and I want to share my dragon knowledge with other fans.
BFFs Recon not in the series in the book they show a dragon it tells and show's the size, how tall is it and the class just because they show dragon in the book doesn't mean it's bigger than Berk no Dragon is bigger than Berk
What if the bewilderbeast that died on vanahiem was the parent of the two bewilderbeasts in the second movie. And since it was the parent of the two it was alot bigger and the two are only teenagers compared to their parent bewilderbeast on vanahiem.
//Royal //Riot// But those were two fully grown Bewilderbeasts, It wouldn't make sense if they were related either, they wouldn't kill each other if they were.
The problem here is that Alpha dragons don't have a gender. They basically have internal fertilisation and lay abundent of eggs. The hatchlings will fight each other to death. Some will survive and live on. I know the Red Death alpha species does this. Not sure about the Bewilderbeasts.
it makes sense that dragons still go to vanahiem hundreds of years later if this thing is as old as we suspect it would have hundreds of thousands of dragons in it's flock from all different from species even other legendary dragons such as eruptidons
Theory: Some dragons could have tried to fly north, but got caught by the red deaths cry, who summoned them to his volcano, and we know the cry is long range, because from the nest it attracted toothless at the other end of berk. What do we think?
My quote on quote "heaven" is literally a tv with unlimited shows, phone, fantastic wifi, super soft bed, plugs all around and finally,TWO IMORTAL CATS WHO DIED WITH ME!!!!or just a black screen,as I'm a puppet on a tv show waiting for me to play a certain episode...OPTION ONE SOUNDS BETTER!!!!
Something I wondered is could the dragons that the Bewilderbeast protected have been the ancestors of all the archipelagos dragons? The only one we don’t know for sure wasn’t there were Night Fury’s, who most likely aren’t native to the archipelago.
Please tell me I'm not the only one who teared up a little while watching this video. It's impossible not. I completely support your theory though I do have one thing to add. The dragons that come to the island much have been the decedents of the Bewilderbeast's flock. They would have told their hatchlings about their alpha giving them a good idea of what he/she would have been like and thus went there when they were to do just as their parents had.
The bewilderbeast would have easily won agianst the red death because it is probally around 3x the size of the vanahiem bewilderbeast. In the episode about vanheim hiccup says the skeleton is way bigger than the red death.
The Bewilderbeast in the episode would've defeated the Red Death however I'm not so sure about the ones from the movie. If we look at the advantages both have, the Red Death surpasses the Bewilderbeast in more categories. The Bewilderbeast has incredible ice breath but the Red Death has an advantage with fire breath. In the first movie the Red Death unleashed massive amounts of fire that greatly surpassed its already gargantuan size. This ability would completely nullify any amount of ice the Bewilderbeast tried to use. Also the Bewilderbeast has the tusks that it could use to to impale the Red Death like the other Bewilderbeast did in the second movie however the Red Death has her tail. If she's able to use the blunted and bulky end of her tail against the face of the Bewilderbeast she could potentially knock off his tusks however in the end it's still just an "if". The Red Death though still has at least two more advantages. She has no blind spot thanks to her multiple eyes not to mention according to Fishlegs she has improved hearing and sense of smell. And her final advantage is flight. The Bewilderbeast is confined to the ground while the Red Death would have full control of the air and all the power that comes with it. In the end the Bewilderbeast is out-classed. Sure he's bigger but as we've seen with several dragon fights, just because one dragon is bigger doesn't mean it's a guaranteed victory. Now if the Bewilderbeast were to use it's advantage of being a tidal class dragon he could ambush the Red Death take her out quickly but if that were to fail then my money is on the Red the Death.
tommoore2012 But the bewilderbeast breaths out such large amounts of ice at a time literally enough to make minature islands plus while the red death makes large amounts as fire as well her fire isn't relatively hot so while she could melt a larger surface area of ice ultimately she wouldn't melt alot So how i see it is that the bewilderbeast would blow out Ice effectively freezing the red death because the red is pretty small in comparison to the HTTYD 2 bewilderbeast And if it's against the bewilderbeast from the series there's no way a younger red death would've won
Interesting note about the name Vanaheim: In Norse Mythology (of course the inspiration for much of HTTYD), there were three notable types of gods: Jotner, who represented basic, primeval forces of nature. Aser (or Æser), who represented civilization and order, and Vaner, who we don't know much about (some theories claim they represented older, more shamanic religions), though some say they are the female aspect of the world, while Aser are male. Jotner are both. What we do know, is that one of the first wars in creation was between the Aser and the Vaner. Seeing how neither side could win, they eventually made a peace treaty, mixing their spit in a bottle as a symbolic union, and exchanging hostages. The Vaner sent their wealthiest man, Njord, god of seafood, sailing and protector of sailors, and his two children: Freyr, god of fertility, sex, harvest, protector of women, and Freya, goddess of fertility and war. The Aser were slightly less honorable, and sent Høner, who was either a very quiet, and reserved god, basically the deity of social anxiety, or a rooster exposed to magic that made him into a god, depending on who you ask, Mimer, Odin's advisor. Very wise, but a Jotne, not an As, and Kvasir, a being shaped like a man made from the aforementioned bucket of spit.
When I saw that on Dragons Race to the Edge, I thought the skeleton was the bewilderbeast. Also, if Vaniheim is where dragons go to die, where do the Night Furys go to die? Also, subscribe to my channel!
Dragon Master Not all dragons go to Vanaheim, just the ones descended from the dragons who were loyal to that Bewilderbeast. Plus Night Furies aren't exactly from the Archipelago, they're probably more down south.
Not just been watching your theories, been also loving your theories. Your channel is basically where I can find people who love to talk about How To Train Your Dragon.
An endless experience always varied as to give endless enthrallment, a vast landscape of a million different worlds beneath a great sun and a more stars than could ever be counted. And lastly the right to wander eternally.
2 theories: 1, Bewilderbeast skeletons are made of a stronger material than bone. 2, Maby rock formed around the skeleton, like fossilization on steroids.
I guess it's not a rock but looked liked a rock but it's because of dying in old age and the Bewilderbeast fossil might be old to as the skin went off and create like a rock. This is the weird part cause the tusks doesn't have a skin but let's calculate that the tusk have skin like white Bewilderbeast and the fossil of that massive Bewilderbeast a 100 age old so the answer comes up as it lost the skin which make him looked like a rock but the material is strong and hard but we can still see the tusks and spikes on it's back.
Baylee Lambie actually I think the dragons acted weird on beserker island because since they tried to over throw dagur I think they planted something to make the dragons act weird as to the ice I think that maybe a bewilderbeast came there to look for a new nest then left because it was not suitable
Ahmelia Williamson yeah maybe but the ice would have melted then wouldn't it? Or maybe not XD as well as for your other theory yeah i actually agree maybe they planted dragon root? Or something
Midnight the night fury possibly but wouldn't Dragon root be too obvious how about blue oriander or maybe they rubbed the smell of eels on the land or buried dead eels under the grass also considering that berk had too use Dragon fire to get rid of the ice I think that it might take a while for it to melt like maybe hundreds of years
When the eruptedon went to the resting place, it seemed as if it turned into one of the stone dragons, the eruptedon is known as a great protector, the stone dragons are also great protecters of the island, I belive that the bewilder beast was so old it grew as big as his body would allow and by the time that happened enough eruptedons passed away and followed the main alpha, they also didn't have a bone graveyard on the island. another reason I belive this is because one of the stone dragons let them pass the other stone dragons as if they had a bond (hiccup saved the eruptedons egg)
Normal size Bewilderbeast (capital letter on name): 520 Vanaheim Bewilderbeast size: (Cannot be compared but we know that it is a size of a island which is pretty big) assuming just assuming it could be atleast 2341ft and 713.537meters.
Duck Dingo25 vanaheim is where Dragon's go to have a peaceful death so that's what the Bewilderbeast did and the Sentinels helped the Bewilderbeast with a comfortable spot so the Bewilderbeast died on vanaheim
Very interesting take. I always wondered that. But also, where do the Sentinel Dragons come in? Even that far after death, the alpha's influence is that strong? So many questions...
My heaven would be streets of gold with golden and pearled gates. There would be large mansions. I would actually be able to talk to my God. I loved this video! I never would have thought of something like this! You have a very creative and inquisitive mind. I loved your theory and find it completely logical. Btw: your voice sounded completely normal.
Clearly not all dragons though. if it was all dragons, then surely the sentinels that guard it would have been able to stop Toothless and Hiccup, but they couldn't because they hadn't seen a night fury before. and if the bewilder beast died THAT long ago, then technically Night fury would still be plentiful then. given the facts a titan wing, definitely must have had a larger group than regular bewilders, but definitely not all.
Remember how Hiccup explains that there were no Night Fury bones? All that was explained in HTTYD: The Hidden World, how that long-faced grey haired man said "When I saw a Night Fury, I killed it where it slept. That simple act of courage made me a hero in my village, so I headed out to finish the job," he missed 1 night fury, that's why Erit was surprised in the 2nd movie, he said "I thought we've seen the last of those, Dargo would love him on his team" The Night Furies weren't killed on Vanaheim, they were killed on normal islands
Lawyer Justice to quote Hiccup's mother: "Every nest has its queen, but this is the King Of Dragons." EDIT: I just realized that wasn't very helpful. So the Red death is the queen of a different nest than the one that we see in the second movie.
i have a question in between the 1st and 2nd movies we had what was happening to lead up to the movie do you think there will be one soon after race to the edge to show what they did?
*Race to the edge season 6 spoilers* De villain Krogan from season 5 was hired bij Drago to capture the Dragon King, when they reached the dragon king the found an egg and the dragon king at that moment. Hiccup defeated Krogan and Trader Johann en retrieved the egg, but he never saw the Bewilderbeast, only Krogan and Trader Johann saw him. Hiccup now had an egg of the Dragon King, but the Wingmaiden knew an ally who could keep the egg save, Hiccup his mother Valka. Since there are around 1 - 2 years between the 2 movies it would state that the Dragon King egg would have been hatched and that Valka raised it to protect other dragons as well. And Krogan was shown returning to Drago only to be killed, and then Drago said; Quess I will have to find my own Dragon King.

So does this mean that all of the dragons that followed Valka's bewilderbeast will return to that island when nearing death? Including Cloud jumper? And the same goes for Toothless. Also there are some video topics that I have and would love to know more about like all of the cool and interesting gadgets shown throughout the second movie. Another topic would be all about the red death and the green death and how they are related. Another great video!! Keep it up!!! Thanks!!!!

StormPlayerGamings I don't think the night fury's are died there was probably a storm and Toothless got lost
Joshua Romero, Storm is talking about is that when night furies die of old age not their entire species going extinct. And Storm you forgot the theory that Night Furies aren't from the Archipelago.
Hey! Thanks for making this video, I can already tell what it’s about! Yay!
Considering the dead Bewilderbeast's tusks look like stone, that would mean its been there for an insanely long time
Zarina A113 That’s true, maybe it was the island in the first movie where Stoick had gone. (And that’s the Red Death he killed)
Zarina A113 whoa
This is a very valid point.
I think that the dragon bones seen in or at vanaheim were the dragons that followed the alpha. They stayed and died with the bewilderbeast.
I KNEW IT! My sister doubted me, but I KNEW IT!
Also, I know this is a kids show (or so my friend thinks so) but I freaking looooove this show
Have you ever noticed that in the introduction of “ Dragons Race To The Edge “ the Edge is in the shape of a sleeping dragon. I am a a huge fan of HTTYD and I want to share my dragon knowledge with other fans.
WOW i did not realize that the bewilderbiest there was that BIG!!!!!
FS Hurricane well Jesus look at the size compared to hiccup it's A goddamn giant the biggest dragon we have ever ever seen
It's zeycrone There is one that is bigger than Berk
BFFs Recon nothing could be bigger than berk
Joshua Romero A dragon in the books is MUCH bigger than Berk
BFFs Recon not in the series in the book they show a dragon it tells and show's the size, how tall is it and the class just because they show dragon in the book doesn't mean it's bigger than Berk no Dragon is bigger than Berk
What if the bewilderbeast that died on vanahiem was the parent of the two bewilderbeasts in the second movie. And since it was the parent of the two it was alot bigger and the two are only teenagers compared to their parent bewilderbeast on vanahiem.
//Royal //Riot// But those were two fully grown Bewilderbeasts, It wouldn't make sense if they were related either, they wouldn't kill each other if they were.
well drago raised his bewilderbeast so what if he took it from birth and then it never know its sibling so would kill it on command
//Royal //Riot// where did Drago find a Bewilderbeast an army of Dragon's and an army of Dragon hunters why why why is Drago doing this?
The problem here is that Alpha dragons don't have a gender. They basically have internal fertilisation and lay abundent of eggs. The hatchlings will fight each other to death. Some will survive and live on. I know the Red Death alpha species does this. Not sure about the Bewilderbeasts.
//Royal //Riot// no..thats waaaaaaaay too old. Try grandparent
Mishka cant die, he/she is our SUPREME IMMORTAL LEADER. All hail Mishka, king of all king/ queen of all queens.
Hail Mishka
HERE HERE!!!
hail
Hail! Please spare the lives of us meer mortals!
So Mishka is she??
it makes sense that dragons still go to vanahiem hundreds of years later if this thing is as old as we suspect it would have hundreds of thousands of dragons in it's flock from all different from species even other legendary dragons such as eruptidons
When a bewilderbeast dies the dragons following him when it was still alive go to where there bewilderbeast died to go make there final resting place
When I saw this in the vanahaim episode I was like 😱
Who else started tearing up after this theory 😢?
Why is every animal more honourable than humans
Not true. There are animals, which includes insects, that will betray its own kind or cannibalize its own kind, etc.
like humans?
@@romanplays1 😂
Theory: Some dragons could have tried to fly north, but got caught by the red deaths cry, who summoned them to his volcano, and we know the cry is long range, because from the nest it attracted toothless at the other end of berk.
What do we think?
The ending was really deep.
Hey keep doing what your doing man coming from someone on the west coast in Cali
Godzilla vs bewilderbeast? Anyone?
Yes pls
i think Bewilder beast wins cuz he can freez godzilla's feet
Wilderbeast would win
Godzilla will ruin the Bewilderbeast. 😂
Obviously godzilla
Please do a video on the shellfire please
Therealjustin2017 !!! OMG yes
Therealjustin2017 !!! Or he should do a video on the Submaripper
Holy schnitzel! Fantastic theory---That makes perfect sense and runs seamlessly with canon. Count me in on this!
But what about the Red Death perhaps it could've challenged the Vanaheim Bewilderbeast ?
Maybe the Red Death took advantage of the power vacuum left by the Bewilderbeats's death to make herself queen.
tommoore2012 bewilderbeast are bigger than red deaths
tommoore2012
But the bewilderbeast breaths out such large amounts of ice at a time literally enough to make minature islands plus while the red death makes large amounts as fire as well her fire isn't relatively hot so while she could melt a larger surface area of ice ultimately she wouldn't melt alot
So how i see it is that the bewilderbeast would blow out Ice effectively freezing the red death because the red is pretty small in comparison to the HTTYD 2 bewilderbeast
And if it's against the bewilderbeast from the series there's no way a younger red death would've won
You really make it fun to watch your videos.
This is really well done and thought out thank you.
1:48 that Time Alpha ordered dragons to go there before they die
When I saw that on Dragons Race to the Edge, I thought the skeleton was the bewilderbeast. Also, if Vaniheim is where dragons go to die, where do the Night Furys go to die? Also, subscribe to my channel!
Dragon Master Not all dragons go to Vanaheim, just the ones descended from the dragons who were loyal to that Bewilderbeast. Plus Night Furies aren't exactly from the Archipelago, they're probably more down south.
Someone has been watching my theories! 😊

A question: if that's a Bewilderbeast skeleton, why is it made of rock?
2 theories: 1, Bewilderbeast skeletons are made of a stronger material than bone. 2, Maby rock formed around the skeleton, like fossilization on steroids.
@@RndmFndm103 good theories, thanks
I guess it's not a rock but looked liked a rock but it's because of dying in old age and the Bewilderbeast fossil might be old to as the skin went off and create like a rock.
This is the weird part cause the tusks doesn't have a skin but
let's calculate that the tusk have skin like white Bewilderbeast and the fossil of that massive Bewilderbeast a 100 age old so
the answer comes up as it lost the skin which make him looked like a rock but the material is strong and hard but we can still see the tusks and spikes on it's back.
Fossilization

I seen bewilderbeast ice under baserker island so is there a bewilderbeast under there
Baylee Lambie maybe a bewilderbeast skeleton or even egg that would explain why the dragons acted so strangely
Midnight the night fury ok thankyou
Normal size Bewilderbeast (capital letter on name): 520
Vanaheim Bewilderbeast size: (Cannot be compared but we know that it is a size of a island which is pretty big) assuming just assuming it could be atleast 2341ft and 713.537meters.
“And I would be a bender” that means something very different where I’m from
hold up!!! is that a skyrim map i see in the background?! :o
Do a video on "did alphas have a alpha?"
Jennifer Moorer if they had an alpha they would be betas
Ethan gnentun or they do a video on the Submaripper
lileeze LMFAO SO TRUE
Alphas wouldn’t have an alpha, it’s like a king having a king they just go to war and the winner comes away with an other army
Jennifer Moorer THE GOD OF ALL IS ODIN
WHAT?!! your beautiful voice annoying? Never!! I love to hear the melodious sounds of your verbal cadence.
3:02 “great question you unusually adorable lizard” has me dead🤣🤣
Quick question what about the sentinel dragons?
Matt Parton mayby the sentinels were so loyal that they stayed with the alpha and protects its skeleton....
My heaven would end up being a gaming heaven where I can do ancient language magic and a metalbender and also dragon rider
Here in 2021 and that little bit near the end hurt.
I love being a Subfury!!!❤️
Bwilder beast: im the biggest dragon
King Ghidorah: Am i a joke to you
Dragon ball dragon : keep on dreaming
The skeleton is made of stone stating that the fossil is really really old
I love people like these that speak about lore
wow nice channel and nice community of followers! Keep up the good work bro!
Could there be a female bewilderbeast?
fun fairy rear plant well thats where eggs come from...
No because it's the king of dragons but what if the red death is a female bewilderbeast ??? Anyone
@@b-studios2231 no there is a female bewilderbeast in race to the edge
@@trehype2677 no because like hello future me said furbies can have eggs in any sex
Hey I have a theory I am pretty sure that the red death might of killed a young or baby bewilder beast and that's why the dragons followed and fed it
When did the sentinels start protecting vanaheim, and how?
Didnt pay attention to the video enough
The bewilderbeast seems to be a TitanWing, notice its long sharp teeth and its immense size? It was probably the ruler of ALL dragons at that time
Clearly not all dragons though. if it was all dragons, then surely the sentinels that guard it would have been able to stop Toothless and Hiccup, but they couldn't because they hadn't seen a night fury before. and if the bewilder beast died THAT long ago, then technically Night fury would still be plentiful then. given the facts a titan wing, definitely must have had a larger group than regular bewilders, but definitely not all.
Remember how Hiccup explains that there were no Night Fury bones? All that was explained in HTTYD: The Hidden World, how that long-faced grey haired man said "When I saw a Night Fury, I killed it where it slept. That simple act of courage made me a hero in my village, so I headed out to finish the job," he missed 1 night fury, that's why Erit was surprised in the 2nd movie, he said "I thought we've seen the last of those, Dargo would love him on his team"
The Night Furies weren't killed on Vanaheim, they were killed on normal islands
I feel like it was a Titan wing
Is the red death the queen or is their another dragon the queen?
Lawyer Justice to quote Hiccup's mother:
"Every nest has its queen, but this is the King Of Dragons."
EDIT: I just realized that wasn't very helpful. So the Red death is the queen of a different nest than the one that we see in the second movie.
Did u relive that the sentinels (vanihim dragon protectors) didn't recognize toothless a NIGHTFURE
A nightfury. The Vanaheim protectors didn't, so maybe they are very old. Or just ignorant.
I think nightfurys don't go to vanihim
Hello Future Me...pls read this and explain if u can.
that theory... was a sad story. oh my god... im actually crying over this theory. its heartwarming
Love your videos but you have the most fun vids ever
Valkas wilderbeast would only be a few years old right?
At least 20
i have a question in between the 1st and 2nd movies we had what was happening to lead up to the movie do you think there will be one soon after race to the edge to show what they did?
*Race to the edge season 6 spoilers*
De villain Krogan from season 5 was hired bij Drago to capture the Dragon King, when they reached the dragon king the found an egg and the dragon king at that moment.
So how did a eruptodon lived at a nest in ice??????
The Oscar Dynasty You do relaze Eruptodon's eat lava right?
Joshua Romero exactly
I new it Dragon's go to vanaheim before they die and they also go there to have a peaceful death so that's what the Bewilderbeast did
I already love this channel
Hi I have a theory if toothless is the last night fury one what happened to all of the other night fury and why is toothless the only night fury and sorry if you did this in an other video p.s LOVE YOUR VIDEOS
Kyle Kraeker he did this already
Dev Patel OK but am also what to know where night fury dies
That's not a theory.
That‘s a question

8:15 this made me sad...
My heaven would be millions of dollars and watching your vids
So does this mean that all of the dragons that followed Valka's bewilderbeast will return to that island when nearing death? Including Cloud jumper? And the same goes for Toothless. Also there are some video topics that I have and would love to know more about like all of the cool and interesting gadgets shown throughout the second movie. Another topic would be all about the red death and the green death and how they are related. Another great video!! Keep it up!!! Thanks!!!!
8:23 I would have water bending and I would have a deadly nater oh and live in the avatar universe "aangs time"
