Enjoyed that. I've only climbed that one in the dry and I think I went further right at the top over an awkward slabby boulder. I've also climbed Nor nor buttress on the RHS of that gully but that's hard. Bastow Buttress is a cracking route - you'd enjoy that I think (in the dry )
It's a great route, done it before in the dry and it was much easier on the lower section which was greasy after some rain a few hours earlier. BB is on my to-do list which is quite long atm and I'm repeating routes I've done many times before but this time with a GoPro. Hopefully I'll get a few more routes bagged before the year end.
Did this last week and had a bit of brain fog and went up left at 7:30. Pretty sketchy. I knew it was supposed to be quartz but somehow convinced myself it was better than going straight over.
20:40 is roughly where you join the gully via the EFT, though that first boulder section is tricky and I struggled! 🤣 Climbing out of the notch is a little awkward too with some slippery rock when wet, but almost immediately after that the scrambling becomes pleasant and easy again all the way to the summit
Did this a few weeks ago when it was really wet, we missed the left turn and ended up going up the gully where it got to steep and ended up going across on to the right hand side where some chaps where rock climbing. Scary stuff😅 😅😅
I like the look of this one. Right up my street. I'd defo want better conditions though! Haha. The summit to yourself is pretty damn special!
Amazing video. We did this route today in the snow 😰
Thanks
Hi, I took my daughter up that section a couple of days ago... Not for the faint hearted!!!

yea i really enjoyed nor nor buttress variant variant (the 3s version) very sketchy slab climb with no protection

Gutted you didn’t show the next 15 mins to the summit I turned back at the north tower and went back down wish I just pushed on now

It's steep in there! I need to go back and film in the gully itself, it's on my to-do list.
I got lost and came down this yesterday with no ropes. F*cking scary situation 🤦🏽♂️
Not the easiest route down, there have been a few rescues down that gully!
what was your camera mike set up?
The last section of the video isn’t Nor Nor Gully completely different gully nor nor is around the corner
But it is nor nor gully? Because it climbs into the notch?
Least attractive route.
