- The rubber strap just wasn't enough for my Seiko SRP777 Turtle. I needed a bracelet. I ended up with three of them. Here are my thoughts on them all.

I've got Supers on 2 watches. They are heavy, but nothing looks like them. That is a serious bracelet.

Sorry to say, but the razor wire bracelet is horrible in my opinion. The engineer on the other hand is 👌🏻
Old soviet amphibias were on the exact same razorwire design, still can find on second hand market blue dial scuba dude with 2416B caliber with this bracelet, great design that works even after 30+ years
Turtle on Razorwire ist the most comfortable combo in my substantial collection. Better than leather or anything else, even than some smaller watches I own. Its like silk, never pulls hair either. And I had this combo now for 2 years plus, it will stay on my turtle for good.
MIne is in a long term relationship with my PADI Turtle.
That mesh was fire on the Turtle deff changed my mind about razor wire....deff wished you weigh a stock jubilee bracelet to see how they compare to it ....that cat was balling prolly catching a lot of tail with a turtle around the paws
I recently picked up a PADI Turtle on the standard bracelet. I'll try to get back to you on the weight. Walter, the cat, is a ball of energy that I try to keep away from leather straps because he'll add his own feline patina.

I have that same mesh bracelet it's garbage. Had to drill the holes to get proper pins in it, clasp Is pure scrap metal. Get a strapcode or staib dont buy that mesh it's on Amazon, Ebay and everywhere else for 30 bucks dont even think about it !!!
I haven't had any issues with the mesh but must admit the the other two get most of the wrist time. Sorry to hear you had trouble with it.

Where can I buy the end links for the super engineer? I have a bracelet with straight end links. I need the curved ones.
I'm not sure. You might try reaching out to Strapcode via their website to see if they have them available. I haven't seen separate end links listed on their site but you never know until you ask. Let me know if you track them down. I wouldn't mind picking up some straight ones for mine.

they now changed the clasp at strapcode on the super engineer 2. I dont like the new one. The one you have in the video looks far better.
So if I get a replacement bracelet for the seiko sport straight end link or curved
A fitted, curved end link certainly gives the most finished look but a straight end link lets you use the same bracelet on other watches with the same lug width thereby increasing versatility. If I had it to do over again with my Super Engineer, I'd probably go with the straight. The straight would also be easier to install.

Where can I get a super engineer bracelet to fit my seiko neo perpetual calendar it's a 22 mm fitment.
The one in the vid is from Strapcode and has custom fit endlinks for the Turtle. They also make one with straight ends if you want greater versatility.
I am really looking for a razorwire bracelet to replace the stock Seiko one on my Seiko Monster Save the Ocean Penguin SRPH75 but I am not sure if its compatible. I’ve been looking everywhere for other metal options from Uncle and Strapcode for this particular watch but can’t find one. Any suggestions?
I have to get the super engineered after seeing this. I think counterbalancing is a major plus that will only add to how good this looks.
Late to this obviously, but the watch itself isn't heavy to the point of needing to 'counter balance'. Size any band correctly for the turtle and you are just fine.
I too purchased the razor wire for my turtle. It looks just so amazing. When It finally arrived, the buckle/clasp was felt very flimsy and for me the sizing was a nightmare. Ensuring each individual link is properly lined up was just too much for me. Once it is properly sized then it is not an issue, but I will not buy another razor wire bracelet just because of how much of a hassle it is to size.
Love my super engineer II but now I'm after a razor and beads of rice in 22mm from Uncle Seiko or is it Uncle Larry? Or Larry maybe? Whatever! These are cool bands and should look good on my old 7002.
Since I made the vid, I picked up a Z199 for my 7548. It's also really nice.

Great vid. Thank you for this comparison. I've considered the Super Engineer 2 for a long time. Recently I've become interested in the Razor Wire but have been waiting for it to be released at 20mm and with a straight end. I've had 2 mesh just like yours but the apparent quality not nearly as good as yours. The notching of the mesh for the H adjustable links on both mine really sloppy as well as bending and squeezing the mesh chain to fit in those H's. I think my favorite look on your Turtle was the mesh. Then that Razor Wire. What I've love about my mesh is also that airy coolness you mentioned. I'm strongly considering a 20mm straight end Jubilee from StrapCode.
Thanks. I definitely feel that I found the best bang for buck on the mesh. Good quality but half the price of the known brands. I think the choice of straight end links is a good one for versatility on other watches. I've thought of asking Strapcode if I can buy alternate end links for the super engineer 2.

I really want those super engineer ii. I have a Seiko New Turtles SRP777 and I don’t like the black silicon strap. I’ll check if is ships to Korea so I can finally have what I want.
It's totally worth the effort. I also hated the original strap.

Like the Seiko 5 Hulk, after searching high and low on the internet I found one. I was wondering if you're going to change the crystal to a sapphire? or do you know if they make them? I'd like one with a cyclops on mine.
I'm pretty happy as it sits so I have no plans to mod it. I think a cyclops could be added if you really want it.
Might be abit late, but I’ve just purchased a king turtle, this has a sapphire crystal along with the cyclops. Hope this helps
That Turtle has too many bezels. Makes the dial look tiny. Not a nice balance or look.
jharris947 It may not look right on camera I suppose. On the wrist, it looks great in person.
I think even on camera, the bezel looks like standard proportions for a diver bezel

Crap uncle seiko clasp. Milled deployment and cheap looking clasp. Strapcode far superior.
Interesting opinion. For me, the Uncle Seiko is extremely comfortable. Since I made the video, the Razor Wire has gone onto my PADI Turtle and not been changed. The jingle settled down. It's been great. No doubt, the Strapcode is built like a tank but I find it too heavy for daily wear although I love the look. It's all a matter of personal preference.
