Black rubber tropic strap is all you need.

Just returned it. The height is 'only' 12.7mm but seems much higher because of the design. Too bad, I find the idea very original and one of the few quartz movements that I would pay a premium for. The 30m water resistance and the stamped clasp could be better but I could live with that. Let the next version be better designed, there is still margin to sell this more expensive.

This is exactly. Where I am starting. Got a weekender today and already scoping my next watch. Budget watches. Seiko most likely. Then a dive. My $650 Samsung Watch ultra is staying on the desk today. I'm a woman with a 6" wrist and thought I liked huge heavy watches but this Weekender feels awesome. Its also a strap monster and i have a few from my previous 20mm lug smartwatch so it will be fun.

I think that I have done a full circle with the watch collecting over the years and have ended up back at the start, wearing a Timex weekender, I wish that someone could have told me this 30 years ago, I could have saved myself a lot of money.

Turtle on Razorwire ist the most comfortable combo in my substantial collection. Better than leather or anything else, even than some smaller watches I own. Its like silk, never pulls hair either. And I had this combo now for 2 years plus, it will stay on my turtle for good.

they now changed the clasp at strapcode on the super engineer 2. I dont like the new one. The one you have in the video looks far better.

I am really looking for a razorwire bracelet to replace the stock Seiko one on my Seiko Monster Save the Ocean Penguin SRPH75 but I am not sure if its compatible. I’ve been looking everywhere for other metal options from Uncle and Strapcode for this particular watch but can’t find one. Any suggestions?

For a sports watch the strap is very fragile. Not much point in having a nice shockproof watch if the strap is prone to disintegration. Worst of all is the totally non-standard design of the strap fixings that make it impossible to easily replace it. Why do we need a strap that has nonstandard fixings?

Do these watches last long I just got one and I'm unsure about the durability of "base metal" as I have no idea what it is?

I just ordered one ...I get so confused with red star are they Russian or Chinese? I know most have Segal Chinese movements that one handed has a Belarus movement. I always hear people say it's Russian and some have images of st Petersburg on the back case yet I always see Chinese writing on them. Anyone know the answer?

I have to get the super engineered after seeing this. I think counterbalancing is a major plus that will only add to how good this looks.

I got a bracelet stuck by using wrong spring bars before and got it off by bending them with a flathead screwdriver. It didn’t hurt the bracelet but destroyed the spring bars obviously. That’s what I get for wondering if things will fit on others

I really wish this was still being made, as this is the perfect watch for any rail enthusiast.

I too purchased the razor wire for my turtle. It looks just so amazing. When It finally arrived, the buckle/clasp was felt very flimsy and for me the sizing was a nightmare. Ensuring each individual link is properly lined up was just too much for me. Once it is properly sized then it is not an issue, but I will not buy another razor wire bracelet just because of how much of a hassle it is to size.

I’ve an old one that’s black with an old brown leather strap, bought it in New York in 2015, still needs a battery and still works fine, same sized 38mm case - regards 🍺.

Is it possible to remove the watch strap spring pins so to fit a two-piece leather strap ? Or are they fixed. I don't see any holes.

The stopping of the second hand at 12 drifts off after sometimes a few hours or a few days. I put in a new battery despite jeweler claiming nothing wrong with old battery. Still drifts off 12. Not a “comfortable” watch to own. Always wondering if the stop at 12 will still be working when I look at time …

This isn’t the Essex Avenue just the essex. The Avenue looks more similar to the royal oak.

There was one reason and one reason only as why I got another watch after my Timex, whose styling I still prefer more than any other watch to this day, the ticking...which should really be aptly described as miniature nuclear explosions hatt take place evrerry second when you are in quiet room.
