Sam I'm in Detroit I have all Black 2025, it would be a pleasure for you to drive it any time you want. I just turned in my 2022, and you are one of the main reasons I'm so in love with these Ford Explorer ST's! So hype for this review!
I love my 22 rapid red ST. Cruises on the freeway smoothly and handles the curves of the mountain roads amazingly! Super comfortable and beautiful. I do love the new 25, especially the many updates of the interior and the red stitching!
Overall a huge improvement over the first gen. The rear and internal changes are great. Also, mechanically they are ironing out known issues so this should be a more reliable vehicle. I own a Mk5 Sport and love it. I'll hold out until these come down in value.
I'm one of those people that would like to have buttons along with the large computer screen. That way when the sync system and the computer screen decide to take a dump on you you still have physical button so you can use your climate control and your radio. And it's not weather the screen will take a dump, it's when it'll take a dump on you
Love the Explorer ST! a worthy contender to shortlist when shopping around for "performancy" SUVs. Great that Ford kept the bench in the upper trim levels, as well as the ceiling air vents. Great SUV. Not a fan of the built in bulk in the front dash, but wouldn't complain... Lastly, I've seen in your videos how capable it is compared to others in the drag strip, so pretty cool. Great Video, Sam
I wish we got the ST option for 2nd row bench seat in the US instead of the stupid captains chairs - that is probably a show stopper for me buying one.
Finally interior looks good! One of my favourite suv's if it is reliable enough..also love the Cherokee, Wagoneer and Durango! Which one would you take?
@jfhunter8021 The Ford Explorer is the most reliable SUV out of all the other SUV's you just mentioned! I've had my 2020 Explorer ST for just over 4 years. The only issue was the rear camera recall campaign. I have had no other issues with this truck!
Awesome review, thorough and efficient. Love the new explorer. Ready to pick one up. Should i save up for the ST, totally worth it? I'm about to pull the trigger on the st line ~
I have a 2020 ST (black) I like it for the power, safety and features. It has been in the shop few times I would say more than it should. The interior is very cheap the plastic is easily marked. I would buy it again however just know Ford interior are horrible
As far as I was aware, bench seats was not available for the ST model, it was only available on a platinum but you had to get the Mojave interior, not the Gray. My guess is since the car in the video has Ontario plates that they make bench standard for Canada model Explorer's just like they make the 4wd standard as well in Canada. Sorry but I don't know if we will be able to get bench seats on the ST here in the US at all.
@@SamCarLegion Give me a break man. A 3 liter, 6 cylinder, turbo doesn’t have the muscle presence as the Durango 392 or Hellcat. I can see that Ford is trying with this ST, but as far as performance, it’s not there yet.
@@William-s3hsaying “muscle presence is crazy” in todays cars V8 aren’t relevant as much with turbos or EVs coming into play more and more. Plus sam did a race with an ST and 392 was about even from a roll only things it’s good at is the quarter mile
@@cmartinezsport I think V6s should stay in V6 lanes. I’m sorry V6 owners. Comparing a forced induction V6 with a naturally aspirated V8 is not a good comparison. All I’m saying is V6s should be compared to other V6s

I drove in a 2021 2022 Ford Edge in a Uber the other day. There isn't a Asian Brand that can compare to how that Suv moved......I took a 2023 Ford Escape Uber recently.....I swear not the Rav 4 orrrr the new Crv hybrid ( which I think is the best Asian Suv) ....could compare to Fords power dilvery or Handling.......Ford is thee best Car Brand all around. Idc what other ppl say. I'm from America and literally every Ford model year is still driving. Same about GMC....unlike old Asian brands that have models which dissappear and force ppl to upgrade. Good driving cars don't need to upgrade.
@@SamCarLegion I also know two recent Ford owners who had major transmission problems at less than a year within the past 5 years. I just don't see the appeal in buying a vehicle/brand known to be unreliable. Go on the Explorer forums and see the many posts about the transmission failures, some even within the first month.
I bought a Lexus because everyone told me it was a very reliable brand, the day I arrived home after driving for 200 km in a brand new car, I got an engine light and then in two months that I owned it - the car was in the shop pretty much 6-7 times. Never buy a car because of what they say about reliability. I know F150 owners with 300k km on their trucks and still going solid.
These are surprisingly good SUV's. Comfortable, easy to drive and pretty quick.
Yes they are!

Another great review Sam! Got a 22 ST running e50 with all the bolt-ons minus bigger turbos and fuel system. Best bang for the buck!
I’m here. Sorry I’m late but I love the ST, it’s also great for making power n fights trackhawks well
Amazing SUV
2025 ST with Napa is the winner!!
Ford design is always ahead of other two!!
Ford is still rolling out the cartoonish digital dash.😂
I have a 2022 right now that I just tuned. Really a nice SUV indeed
@GoGetter-vl2kq Had my 2020 tuned weeks after I bought it. Four years later, no issues whatsoever!
I had a 2022 Explorer ST. If I followed someone too close, they would pull over and start looking for their registration.
Do the "massaging seats" have actual rollers in them, or are they just air bladders that inflate and deflate?
I wish we got the ST option for 2nd row bench seat in the US instead of the stupid captains chairs - that is probably a show stopper for me buying one.
Good comment/observation about the inadequate wheel size. 22"s would have looked better.
@Riskmangler I have 24-Inch 3-Piece Forged wheels on my 2020 ST

Save and get the ST. Do it right. Next year will be more rebates, you’ll be glad you did.

Wicked intro!
We need a new best vehicles of 2024 or Sam’s personal favorite or garage tour
Sam, fyi the 2025 ST has different turbo’s then the 2024
Unfortunately, I had to trade in my 2020 limited Explorer had issues with it :(. So sad. But my husband had to put me in the truck lol F150. ❤️
Ford sign needs an update..
Mmm never thought like about it

Good point
Does 2025 Ford Explorer ST have park assist? If yes, how to access it. Please and thank you!

Same
Is there anyway someone can help me find out how to build an ST with bench seats? I can't find the option on ford's website.
