This was my very first ever crochet clothing attempt as a beginner almost 2 years ago and these instructions are absolutely simple and amazingly easy to follow!! It came out totally perfect with no mistakes on my part and I regularly hear compliments on the sweater when the grandson wears it. As he grew I added more stripes to lengthen the sleeves and added more length on the cuffs to increase the arm length. I plan to make another one for him but this time in a size 4/5 if possible! Please always keep this hoodie pattern available ! Thank you!

Thanks Simona for such an innovative pattern. I just finished making this hoodie in mint green as the main colour and a bright coloured variegated yarn for sleeves and hood( instead of different colour stripes). It has turned out looking awesome ❤️❤️
I will be doing a summer hood in adult size soon, you could just take notes of the measurements and then just use them for this one, an adult size is just bigger everything else is the same
I tried to do this not long ago and struggled with it because I wanted to do one solid color on the sleeves. I am doing mine in the round, but this will still help greatly. I was getting confused on the increases - do they all go with the main color, do they all go in the sleeve color. Nope. You made it clear - an increase for each color. Thank you! Now to just figure out the logistics with carrying and returning the yarn for in the round.
Ok don't think you can carry it in a round unless you carry it under the main colour all the time and just a side note, your yoke will be uneven if you don't turn your work, try to lay it flat evenly and have a look at the neckline it should be crooked

Love this tutorial, so clear! However i struggle with the under arm chains mentioned around 48.00mins. My ½ chest circumference guide is 30cm (age 2-3yrs) yet my actual crocheted measurement is 34cm. Should I just join underarms with a single chain, a slip stitch, or will I need to reduce somewhere? Thanks in advance!

I did a few attempts and untangled and started again, but it didn't work out. As I see it, you add another knit before you start, and so do I, but I can't figure out what to do. My size corresponds to 50 +1
I'm just about to start an age 4 to 5 but the chart only up to 70 chains but that's way short for aged 4 to 5 it's nearer 90 to get the 46cms required any tips or am I doing something wrong used 4mm hook

Yes , you don't. That extra chain is for starting the row and it does not count as a stitch

No no...you are doing everything right, I just made my chart for smaller ages, if you tell me how many chains you need I can divide them for you

Ok so go down to 84 chains, and then you have 12 for each front, 17 for each shoulder and 26 for the back
