Thailand is a wonderful country but only in moderation. You have a lot of temptation especially for single men. The bars, the parties, ladies, vacation mode. I had my share of that in my 20's. I don't judge people for it because I did it as well. But now in my 40's and married I goto Thailand to relax, the food and most people are very friendly. You have seen the differences Ben. As I have said numerous times. Thailand is for vacation and Malaysia is for living. Some will disagree and that is okay based on what one wants. I am not Muslim. I am Taoist and have never been discriminated against in Malaysia. I adhere to the social norms and I live and let live. Every country has pros and cons. It's up to you to decide what you can accept.
Hey fellow malaysian! 👋 Nicely put. We should try our best to continue to live alongside one another without too much of antagonism, provocations and off-placed judgments. May we continuosly live harmoniously as wonderful malaysians 👍 Anyhow, I just wanna ask, for knowledge purpose direct from the horse's mouth, does taoism have the concept of afterlife like muslims and christians do? From my limited understanding you probably don't, instead you believe in reincarnation, and idk if it was just fictions in movies etc but such reincarnations can take the forms of other beings too as in not necessarily one gets reincarnated as a human? I'm sorry if I have misunderstood or have been given the wrong idea all this while but tbh mostly I got this from keenly watching kungfu movies in the past 😂 And to others reading my question I want to stress again this is purely for learning intention, and never ever either to ridicule or pass judgment, or for imposing my own views onto others
@@jonmath4182 In short some Taoists believe one will be reborn into another life form based on the previous life. Some believe it will be human form and some believe that it could be another form of life like an animal or even a plant or tree. So life is eternal where the afterlife is another phase of life. There are different sects of what is Daoism or religious Daoism. Not all believe in the same. Some believe in reincarnation and others don't. We try to live a simple life, treat people kindly and stay within the middle line not swaying to either one extreme or the other. To be one with nature or the way. Death is seen as another phase of life instead of the end. So trying to achieve spiritual immortality through internal and external alchemy. In Buddhism they call it enlightenment. I could go on but I hope this helps a little. I am a convert so I could be wrong on some things and some will disagree on some points but this is my basic understanding. I just try to keep learning and enjoying. 🙂
Thailand is not just meant for party, Thailand is much more than that you people don't know anything about these countries, and y'all have foot on ground and not experiencing shit🤔.

Hi Ben. You found what the best for yourself. And its time for you to learn deeper abt Malaysia and Malaysian. In term of religion, yes, Malaysia domination by Muslim but Malaysian are respected towards others religion and races. Not only because of religion (especially Muslim), make less destruction in Malaysia but because of respectful behaviour and politeness of Malaysian. Every races in Malaysia teaching self values. This make Malaysia so valuable.
keep it hidden. for our child also. its ok for other to come and they need to find it. so thank u for come and we malaysia always keep to make all safe and remind our friend with malay, chinese, indian and all other to keep our country safe and harmony.
I'm Thai, and I think you are more suited to Malaysia than Thailand, ever since I watched the first videos of you visiting Malaysia. It might be because of the peaceful and beautiful places combined with the artistic atmosphere. I have been to Malaysia about 2-3 times. It is quite nice.
KL is great! get a nice condo with gym and infinity pool, not far from the centre, great food, great shopping, you can work without distractions, and getting tempted by substances, its less chaotic than many SE asian cities. Quality for less money, than we pay in the west.
Exactly Ben. Many years ago Malaysia felt like home, and I felt happy and secure there. Thailand was much more progressive and fun, but you have to be pretty well centered and go there for the right reasons. A friend from South Africa who had lived and worked all around the world and who spent years in Thailand said "Old Siam is a fool's paradise that destroys fools.
Yes it’s true. There’s a certain comfort to Malaysia that makes it very livable, and nice to come back to. After leaving and coming back several times I’ve learned to appreciate the place even more.
Yes, Islam means peace as well as submission to God. So for Muslims, following its rules will surely lead to peace because God knows His creation best.
Ben, loving your vlogs, its getting better n better, those cutscenes with the scenery and music is really nice, it gives us viewers a moment to absorb what u say and enjoy the view. Good stuff Ben, keep it up.
At 20:00 Ben, as you ask, I'd suggest you take a serious look into the running to distraction thought. Weed, women, party life, drinking are all huge distractions. A good friend and former employer who wrote 14 books on "Surviving the Comfort Zone" (Fatal distractions), and spent over 60 years helping people escape the escape into the comfort zone, summed up what you may be experiencing by saying: "After delving deep enough into distraction, many come to the realization of what they are distracting themselves from (running from pain rather than towards it). Other's who can't face the pain (typically trauma and false guilt), and who continue to delve deeper and deeper into distraction until it becomes an addiction, often end up in an endless loop of distraction, for the alcoholic it becomes drinking to forget the guilt of drinking, to forget the guilt of drinking..." Now that in America the distraction has become Fentanyl, a short loop to the end for many I see the fatal loop of distraction more clearly than ever, and now that you point it out Ben, perhaps Malaysia, a place with lessor fatal distractions is the place to escape the distraction loop, heal and become a real self free from distraction away from pain and guilt. That's what Malaysia and Japan were for me, and which I am very grateful for, and why both places hold a special place in my heart. Thanks Ben for bringing things to light, and here's to a life free of negative distractions! BTW, I just found the intro to on of my late friend's books about the 'Comfort Zone' that may be of interest to those considering "Malaysia or Thailand?" 'Surviving the Comfort Zone' - Forward: "Once you escape into the "zone," you may become lost there forever. What is the "zone"? It is a state of mind, body, and soul that we all run to when we find ourselves unable to deal properly with the pressures of the world. The doorway into the "zone" is a false need for comfort: when fulfilled, it causes more hunger. In moments of confusion, anger, and fear, everyone experiences this primal need to "escape." The comfort we seek seems like an oasis in the desert, the answer to our anguish. But by escaping into a comfort zone, we actually make ourselves vulnerable to all kinds of misery, suffering, and addiction. Almost everyone is addicted to something. To the alcoholic its liquor; to the drug addict its some mind-altering substance; to the 'people-pleaser' it may simply be a kind word or a pat on the back. Even such simple acts as knitting, stamp collecting, or goal-forming can serve essentially the same purpose as a drink to the alcoholic. The first step in breaking free lies in becoming aware of how our "escape routes" have transformed into prison chains which dominate our lives. Only then will we be in a position to choose between our old enslavements and a new opportunity for freedom."
Thanks for the comment, this is good stuff. I do think there is some value in those distractions, pleasures, etc. but it can also be a problem. I’ve always been seeking the right balance with everything. I think removing all of those things from life completely is a bit much, but also the only option for some. It does feel like I’ve struck a nice balance for myself by spending 90% of my time in Malaysia, and allowing myself the other 10% to go enjoy the distractions. Even if it becomes a loop of leaving Malaysia to have fun once a month, I believe this may work quite well for me! It’s also much easier for me to say all of this given that I don’t have much money. In the past when I’ve had large amount of money it definitely requires far more restraint. Being allergic to alcohol is also a bit of a blessing.
Everything is a distraction. Even trying to remove distractions is a distraction. The key is to first find distractions that are not harmful and then work to developing distractions that are beneficial.
Hey Ben, I've been following you on YT for months, from the earlier time you first arrived in KL, went to Bangkok and now come back to Malaysia. I wish you welcome back home. I wish you have a good health; mentally and physically well. Make friends with locals, be it Malay, Indian, Chinese, Iban, Kadazan, all.. you know that Malaysian are approachable. Coz being alone is sometimes sickening. Again, have a great days ahead. Take good care Ben! your viewers love you ❤❤
Okay, Ben. Since you asked, Islam is a religion that essentially protects life. It protects your health, your mind, your spirit, your family (wife, kids, parents etc.). It also protects your money and society. Whatever that God has decreed, it is always for the good of the people. Since Earth is God's creation and we live on it, we need to thank God and show our appreciation for Him in the form of prayers, remembrance of Him and other forms of worship. We are also supposed to donate a certain part of our money to charity in the form of Zakat and donations to help the poor, sick and unprivileged. Shariah is basically Islamic principles in the form of law. We have Shariah ingrained in our minds so we don't do anything that goes against what God has deemed evil like drinking alcohol, doing drugs, oppressing people, stealing their property and murder. This is why you don't see practising Muslims committing all these acts of evil, since we know that we will be accountable for all our actions in front of God. There are other things to write about, but you can also do your own research on them. I'm sure others will also be happy to answer your questions on Islam.
Thank you for your astute observations Ben, trust your heart and gut : ) The greatest triumph is to resist against one's primal desires -and only then can you experience freedom to truly live life's purpose. Thanks for reminding us why we are so blessed to call this land our home..
Hi Ben, glad to see you again in Malaysia.. Something extra about Malaysia is the diversity.. Malaysia has a rich culture and heritages. It's a melting pot of eastern and western food, cuisines and cultures. Islam means peace, it's the way of life so that's why Malaysia has to be a decent, peaceful and a harmony place for all multiracial people to settle down here(even though Islam is an official religion the non Muslims have freedom of choice how to live with a decent way.. There's no compulsion in Islam).. There are a few differences with Islamic Laws in Malaysia compared to some other countries' Islamic Laws - especially in the middle east..you will notice them if you stay longer to see and learn about it.. Malaysia is truly Asia 🇲🇾👍
@@byteme9718yes but this goes for anywhere with diversity. For the most part it’s going to be separated by neighborhood. NYC is extremely diverse, but each neighborhood is usually still specific to a nationality and/or race.

Like I mentioned before in your previous vlog. Kuala Lumpur Malaysia is organised chaos, whereas our neighbours up north are just plain chaotic!Lol😅😂✌️
Chaotic, because it's common when a country is highly populated, congested & polluted with even more vehicles. It would be unsmart , especially Westerners (coming from a developed country) chosen to go to these places for retirement - join the chaos & kinda downgraded their quality of life. They should go for quality & affordable, yet luxurious living. And, Malaysia could offer that. 😎
There's sense of magic here. I have never been to that many countries, maybe 5 or so but many Malaysian when they were abroad even if there are hiccups here and there, they still have sense of longing for something I don't know what. Therefore I am grateful for being here for my entire life.
Great video, Ben. Thank you for your insightful points. As a Malaysian, my bias might be evident, but I believe Malaysia offers a compelling case for long-term living. Each person’s priorities and circumstances will shape their decision, and both Malaysia and Thailand have their unique charms. Ultimately, it's vital to ensure that your choice is well-considered and aligns with your personal needs and aspirations. Follow your heart and choose what truly feels right for you.
@@byteme9718 Thank you for sharing your perspective. Ben's nomadic lifestyle means he explores various places rather than settling in one spot for long. It's important to appreciate the diverse ways people choose to live their lives. Let's continue to support each other in making informed and thoughtful choices 🙌🌿🌷

Absolutely a wonderful video. It's really good to know from your perspective that Malaysia is a better for you in comparison with living in Thailand when it comes to a decision to stay and live on a long term basis. Too much distractions and too much temptations could only lead you to astray, and losing focus in life. It's good place to stay in KL, Malaysia, that can contribute a conducive environment to be productive all year long. The affordable cost of living could also be a predominant role and a contributory factor when it comes to making a decision.
Start planning to find the most affordable, suitable good place to stay on a medium term basis, ie, like for 90 days each time you come back to KL. There are many places around KL that could provide the right solution, to live and stay, and commute to the city centre, whenever you need to run errands and roam around the city centre.

It's risky to talk about Islam in the open (here in the comments), chances it will get heated 😁. Basically there's Islam and there's Muslim(the people) which is a mixed bag, like anything else. I have travelled extensively in SEAsia via motorcycle road trips, from villages to big cities, from Myanmar to Laos. One thing is prevalent, poverty and alcoholism... something you don't find very much in Muslim areas in Malaysia (I'm not saying there's aren't other problems here), but it's one less problem.
Hi, Ben. Just a quick note. You have been to a mosque in JayaPutra. You can walk into any mosque anywhere in the world, and they will welcome you. Ask for a copy of the Quran with an English translation. This is a simple and easy read, but the message is so powerful, that Islam today is growing exponentially. It is growing in Western Countries for exactly the reason you stated, too much alcohol, drugs, debauchery. The result is depression, suicide.
I think the desire to keep moving around stems from either having perpetual curiosity for the "new" or you're still searching for the right place to be your base for the long term (while still doing occasional travel)....because I think that's an inherent thing we do, find a place to be our home. Where that place is ultimately depends on where you are in life and what your priorities are. If you're a single man (or woman) who is just dating, then mixing in a social setting in places like Thailand or the Philippines might be your thing. If you've settled into a healthy long term commitment and getting out to socialize/mingle no longer interests you, then a place like Malaysia could be a more cohesive fit. No place is wrong per se, its finding what's the right fit for you.
Yeah Islam is a huge part of it thats why some Chinese and Indian in Malaysia thinking about migrating but refusing for this particular reason, fornification in other parts of the world is rampant in Malaysia you can raise your children healtier, safer and out of wokeness of the outside world. Muslim and the Malay also accomondating people. It part of culture here for centuries, because of geographical situation, warmness people and humbleness of the Malays people. That how you see how Malaysia today.
I've lived years in Bangkok off and on. I've worked in KL, Malaysia and lived there for 2 years, I also lived in Vietnam. It really depends on where you live and what you want. You need to see the smaller cities in Thailand. I'm a fitness guy so in bed by 10 and up at 5:30 am-6 am. I say it this way Thailand is Heaven or Hell, if you are weak it will eat you alive. Honestly that's only Bangkok, Pattaya, and the Islands. Malaysia has a more stable government situation. Vietnam was also great. There really needs to be a SWOT analysis of what you want out of each place. In Thailand Hua Hin was my happy place, slow and easy very little nonsense. In Vietnam it was Nha Trang. I've not found anywhere in Malaysia that is as nice as those two options.
@@byteme9718 nobody cared about malaysian politics as u mentioned all this, even its all falsely intrepreted by you 😅, but you have to remember that malaysia is a constitutional monarchy and no party is above the monarchy.. the king could appoints any party to merge and become the next govt

I definitely need to visit Hua Hin, I plan to on my next trip to Thailand actually. I’m curious about Nha Trang too in Vietnam. Hanoi looks awesome too.
Ben, maybe you could talk about ways to remain in Malaysia as dong a visa run frequently always runs the risk of being rejected. Of course, there is the MM2H immigration scheme but you need some deposit and also you must buy property within 12 months. Sarawak and Sabah have launched their own MM2H scheme but still need some deposit, I believe Sarawak no need to buy property. Digital Nomad I believe you need to be employed by someone outside Malaysia. But it would be good to learn about any other options for long term residence.

@@byteme9718 So the same as in many countries. But hey I was born in Los Angeles. In 20 years going to Malaysia and living most of the year there now it's very safe.
@@byteme9718 It's fine if you have self awareness and an ability to defend yourself like anywhere else. When you grow up in a place that is truly dangerous, places like Malaysia are nothing. It's safer then any major city in America. I lived in Mexico for 5 years and then Colombia when I was working for Merck and that is dangerous.
During early 90's KL also have many night parties, drugs, night girls, prostitutions, etc. But then, it's led to gangsterism, smuggling, human trafficking/slavery, high crime rates, etc. It's took a lot of efforts & years to counter those problems. That's why Malaysia is not for people to enjoy parties, girls, etc compared to Thailand

Bro, deep down inside you know you're a wholesome person. A little bit of a wild side every now and then but still an anchored person. Malaysia helps you to balance them.
Cambodia is worth a look as well. Easiest retirement visa and can also get 10 year visa and citizenship after 5 years with property purchase. Sure Cambodia is a bit more raw and earthier than Thailand or Malaysia but it's still worth a good look.
Another good thing About Malaysia is its not crowded . KL is not as crowded as any other capitals loke bangkok manila sg hcm jkt . Another thing most travellers over look is the suburbs of KL is well maintained, even offer cheaper accomodation , just as good as living in KL downtown . Ben, Malaysia is english speaking esp in city areas, maybe no so in Siam. we look for english content, not sure in Thailand, they have in Thai. try Philippines Ben, english speaking country too. You might love it there Ben. Boleh lah Ben.
It really depends on what you want personally Ben. You cannot say much or decide for other people There are a lot of swingers indulging themselves nightlife in Thailand There are a lot of folks who like moderate & peaceful living in Malaysia In the end of the day, if you feel bore, you can chill a bit in Thailand beach for a week or two... @hplagt6880. Exactly, and maybe in their world people just look at each other in passing, and in their world no one says anything to anyone in passing, no 'hello', nothing.
What I Think: People are different, some have strong desires for one thing, some not. Some know themselves. Some are strangers to themselves. Best not to compare oneself with others. Desire and do that which is right and good. Find inner peace. Enjoy what you do. That's what I think.
Well you’ll only see that stuff in Thailand if you choose to stay in a red light district, otherwise you’ll never once see a bar girl or anything like this. I do agree the food in Malaysia is incredible and I feel very welcomed
I am a long time Thailand expat. I have to say that I truly enjoyed my drinking mongering years here. I eventually got got tired of it and decided to settle down. I eventually found a suitable older lady and married her. That was 20 years ago and we are still together. Life is good for me.
Im Malaysian. I've read one comment that suggested you going to the Phillipines and try living there. Have you ever considered it? Maybe you can share your opinions.
Philippines is nice but it also has many of the things and traps that Thailand has. Still a nice country to visit. Especially the many islands to explore.
Hey brother. It's funny how a UA-cam vid can sway massive life decisions one way or the other. This one here may be one of those ones. I've been living in Chiang Mai for 9 months, and was nodding when you spoke about the temptations/distractions. For example, having ThaiFriendly on your phone as a farang can be a nightmare versus your purpose. I'm currently at a cross roads. When my VISA expires in March, either moving to Bangkok (with a friend), or taking the leap to Malaysia (On my own). I'm leaning towards the latter after discovering your channel... Yours sincerely, Fellow excessive partier that no longer wants to do that
Nice I’m glad you can relate. Malaysia could be a good move if you’re making your money online. It’s so easy to travel in and out of Thailand from here so I think the trade off is worth it!
Which park you were recording the video? At first I thought you were in Perdana Botanical Garden which is accessible from Muzium Negara area (opposite to KL Sentral and Nu Sentral). By the middle of the video, I can see that you were not there as there is no cemetery near Perdana Botanical Garden. Anyway, I condone your view in the video.
I'm a digital nomad of 5 years. It's nothing new and there's nothing mysterious about it. My grandparents were the digital nomad of their age, simply put: those with wanderlust then would become missionaries. They were even clever enough to get others to foot the bill. Churches have a special collection to fund a "mission family" here and there. My dad kinda resented his parents, he felt entitled to live in the United States. He lived very stable, only moving 3 times in his later adult life all in the same state. I guess I got the wanderlust genes. I don't feel any need to explain it, so it was funny to me that you mentioned the topic. Prior to just now, it never occured to me I should think it through and justify it in any way. For the portion of us born this way, it would have been HELL ON EARTH to live in the era of lets say 1940 - 2015. To have a good paying quality job with opportunities for advancement, you needed to stay in a office in the same place and work for decades in each role (to not look flaky on your resume). Now that's no longer the case, our liberation day came. For me it was 2013, the first job I took with no office on offer.
Good choice of words calling it a "*predominately* Muslim country". I made a similar video where I mistakenly called it a "Muslim country" (trying to make the point that it's the predominant religion, compared to Buddhism in Thailand) and got absolutely roasted in the comments by angry Malaysians.
Sorry that you got roasted. It's all semantics 😁. But it is stated in the article 3 constitution of Malaysia that the official religion is islam, and other faiths are free to practice. But some don't like the sound 'malaysia is a Muslim country' as only limited shariah are enforced here.
Hi ben, _selamat kembali_ welcome back to malaysia, and _terima kasih_ for putting up this video and opening up on your own choice and reasoning. Just to touch a bit on your question without the intention of imposing my own belief onto you, after all you did ask anyway, the core reason is Islamic faith stresses on the basic facts that we are merely creations of God, that God is All Powerful, that we are ordered by God Almighty to obey his rules, that this world is nothing but fleeting, that there is permanent life after death (after the day of judgement), and that there is heaven in the afterlife for people obedient to God on this temporary world just as there is hell for disobedient lot. So, firstly, God-fearing muslims would not want to incur the wrath of God by drinking liquor, gambling, etc which have been specifically prohibited by God because doing so would throw a person into hellfire for eternity or for a time that would feel like eternity. Secondly, faithful muslims believe that this world is nothing but a huge test by God, be it in the forms of those distractions or temptations, or even in the forms of successes, victories, possessions, good health etc, and be as good and as fun those distractions appear to be, there will be fun a gazillion time better in heaven. One of the reasons God ordered muslims to do the 5 compulsory daily prayers is to bring back the persons to constantly remember that God is always here, that God is always watching, that this life is temporary, and that God has promised that being good will only be rewarded with much much better, for eternity. Therefore muslims have no need for those distractions now. This concept would then give rise to a different lifestyle than say, a faith that believes in the concept of reincarnation. Probably there are different types of reincarnation concepts out there, idk, but if we consider only a straightforward type of reincarnation ie. a person dies then gets reincarnated as a different person with different traits, then probably it's okay for them to have any sort of fun, probably as long as it doesn't involve murder, rape, robbery, etc, because later they will still get reincarnated and have another chance at everything all over again. Perhaps. I only have limited knowledge about the reincarnation concept, I apologise if I have had it wrong. Peace! ✌️
Work your way towards the Philippines. You'll double or triple your subs in a couple of months. To live like you do in KL, it will probably cost more. If you are willing to stay outside Manila or Cebu, it can be cheap.
Yea the cost is the only reason I haven’t gone yet. Overall getting around, accommodation and food definitely seem more expensive. Hopefully I can make it happen within a few months
Malaysia gives europeans / american s90 days Free visa stay . From KL you can make it your base to neighbouring countries by flights ( cheaper than other countries )
Yea it’s way easier to spend money in BKK on all of the fun stuff. In Malaysia I’m more just living and working, not really seeking any fun. Since I don’t drink I get away with spending a lot less in both countries 😀

Ben, if peace & tranquility in live is what you seek, the only place I can think of is Katmandu, Tibet. Maybe you should do an exploratory trip there because as far as I know, booze, sex & drugs are totally absent but be prepared, you could end up becoming a Monk!!
22:52 - Actually... you could go the National Mosque if you are interested to ask/learn something about Islam here in Malaysia. They have visiting hours and guides that can help you there learn. I think I saw some videos of some other American UA-camrs visiting the Mosque.
what i understand from all your talks and thought, you are seeking for peace and calmness in your life. But in the same times, you want to fullfill your lust and temptation on...lets get it straight to the point... Sex, women, booze party-life, weeds... Of course you can find here in Malaysia, bcoz evil is everywhere man...but not like in Bangkok, Pattaya. Its so common over there. If you really want a peaceful life, get away from the place that full of party-life. Go get close to the positive and clean way of life.
Definitely no booze for me, but weed I love yes. And being able to go on dates with women is a huge plus as well. I have a different view on things though because I don’t see weed or sex-positive living as evil. It’s a nice balance to live in Malaysia and visit Thailand!
You keep saying distraction in this video while I keep being distracted by the things happened around you bro 😅. Anyway, as a muslim, praying 5 times a day is what kept a muslim focus in a day to day basis. Peace ❤

KL is great! get a nice condo with gym and infinity pool, not far from the centre, great food, great shopping, you can work without distractions, and getting tempted by substances, its less chaotic than many SE asian cities. Quality for less money, than we pay in the west.
100% right, it’s an extremely livable place and fits me well as a base
Exactly Ben. Many years ago Malaysia felt like home, and I felt happy and secure there. Thailand was much more progressive and fun, but you have to be pretty well centered and go there for the right reasons. A friend from South Africa who had lived and worked all around the world and who spent years in Thailand said "Old Siam is a fool's paradise that destroys fools.

Ben, loving your vlogs, its getting better n better, those cutscenes with the scenery and music is really nice, it gives us viewers a moment to absorb what u say and enjoy the view. Good stuff Ben, keep it up.
That’s great feedback I appreciate it 🙏🙏
At 20:00 Ben, as you ask, I'd suggest you take a serious look into the running to distraction thought.
Other's who can't face the pain (typically trauma and false guilt), and who continue to delve deeper and deeper into distraction until it becomes an addiction, often end up in an endless loop of distraction, for the alcoholic it becomes drinking to forget the guilt of drinking, to forget the guilt of drinking..."
Now that in America the distraction has become Fentanyl, a short loop to the end for many I see the fatal loop of distraction more clearly than ever, and now that you point it out Ben, perhaps Malaysia, a place with lessor fatal distractions is the place to escape the distraction loop, heal and become a real self free from distraction away from pain and guilt. That's what Malaysia and Japan were for me, and which I am very grateful for, and why both places hold a special place in my heart.
Thanks Ben for bringing things to light, and here's to a life free of negative distractions!
BTW, I just found the intro to on of my late friend's books about the 'Comfort Zone' that may be of interest to those considering "Malaysia or Thailand?"
'Surviving the Comfort Zone' - Forward:
"Once you escape into the "zone," you may become lost there forever.
Next greeny visit, You can avoid from mosquito bite if you apply baby ailment oil which has lemongrass smell on your skin.. its soothing as well

Thanks a lot this is very good info for me!

Yea I enjoy the diversity here, it was one of the first things I noticed when I first arrived to Malaysia. 🙌🙌

Cigarette addictions and drug abuses are still rampant though.
The alcoholism in Southeast Asia is definitely real, maybe even across all of Asia
Get into it ❤. Nice love the introduction narration- next level.

Maybe some day I will give it a read, I’m not much of a reader 😩
Another super interesting Ben , thanks !

Hi Ben..can totally relate to you about Thailand and Malaysia..like youbsaid really depends what you need and want at this point in your life.
It’s true!
This is 100% true
Kuala Lumpur is quiet and peaceful compared with other metropolises in Southeast even maybe whole Asia
Yeah Islam is a huge part of it thats why some Chinese and Indian in Malaysia thinking about migrating but refusing for this particular reason, fornification in other parts of the world is rampant in Malaysia you can raise your children healtier, safer and out of wokeness of the outside world.

Some know themselves.
Some are strangers to themselves.
Best not to compare oneself with others.
Desire and do that which is right and good.
Find inner peace.
Enjoy what you do.

Yes true, those desires mostly come from our upbringing which is why everyone is so different. Inner peace is important

Long Term For Malaysia 🎉
Wherever you go, pls be aware of your surrounding...just to be on the safe side...
Thanks
Good choice of words calling it a "*predominately* Muslim country".
I made a similar video where I mistakenly called it a "Muslim country" (trying to make the point that it's the predominant religion, compared to Buddhism in Thailand) and got absolutely roasted in the comments by angry Malaysians.
Sorry that you got roasted. It's all semantics 😁. But it is stated in the article 3 constitution of Malaysia that the official religion is islam, and other faiths are free to practice. But some don't like the sound 'malaysia is a Muslim country' as only limited shariah are enforced here.
You better believe I only did that because I already made that same mistake as you and been roasted in the past 😂 live & learn
When your constitution stated it's official religion, that's it. Nothing more to discuss... Islam is the official religion of the federation. Period!

Ph views are down in case you haven't noticed due to oversaturation by vloggers. Those left are the ones who truly love the country, which is good.
@MWentworth__1 there are a lot of UA-camrs that go through there.
@@darrylk808 yeah but check out their views now. Even the vloggers know it themselves.
Malaysia gives europeans / american s90 days Free visa stay . From KL you can make it your base to neighbouring countries by flights ( cheaper than other countries )
I think anything excessive is not good. Even religion. You just need to be wise.
Yes very true
Love your honesty about living in Malaysia, are there tours to take that are organized???
From what I hear there are many organized tour options, but I don’t have any experience personally
Those workers are mostly foreign workers. Many of them are still learning national language for communication. They are ok. Don’t worry.
I spend more in 3 days in BKK than I spend whole month on entertainment in KL n I have been going to BKK monthly for the last 12 years.. Lol
Yea it’s way easier to spend money in BKK on all of the fun stuff. In Malaysia I’m more just living and working, not really seeking any fun. Since I don’t drink I get away with spending a lot less in both countries 😀
I feel like a monthly Thailand trip is almost 100% necessary when staying in Malaysia
Just fyi, we are having independence day on 31th Aug in Putrajaya.
Hi bro/sis.
31st August.
@@soar_higher sorry bad English. 🤣😂
@@AfiqahKhalid-k3o takpe...same here...cuma tau sikit 😁

2nd - second, so kalau thirty-second, jadi la 32nd (nd sempena dua huruf terakhir nd
3rd - third, cth 23rd
4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th - so 4th sampai 10th (fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth), so letak th je la utk nombor 4 sampai 10 dan lain lain lagi. Cth 14th, 24th, 35th, 46th, 80th ....and so on

Good tip, thank you
Great video thanks for sharing have a fantastic weekend
Thanks a lot, you too
Do they force theie religion on kids in school? After the 2 year visa, can you get it again? Thailand have 5 year visa and you can always get it again is that the same for malaysia nomad visa?
Malaysia for quality of life but Thailand for entertainment and parties.
True, but I do think quality of life is very high in Thailand as well!
Which SE Asian country has the best air quality in your opinion?
Ben, if peace & tranquility in live is what you seek, the only place I can think of is Katmandu, Tibet. Maybe you should do an exploratory trip there because as far as I know, booze, sex & drugs are totally absent but be prepared, you could end up becoming a Monk!!
22:52 - Actually... you could go the National Mosque if you are interested to ask/learn something about Islam here in Malaysia. They have visiting hours and guides that can help you there learn. I think I saw some videos of some other American UA-camrs visiting the Mosque.
Good idea thanks!
what i understand from all your talks and thought, you are seeking for peace and calmness in your life.
Peace ❤
Anything that is in excessive will makes your mind numb, even having a lot of money. The key is being to do variety of things in moderation whether its is spiritually or materially.
Yep this is true!
I choose Malaysia too.
Nice 😀😀
You should go tp China to try out...City life or Rural life...my God beautiful scenery. Clean and safe. Those China people are Park people...They loved to hang around the parks. The parks are beautiful.
Now Visa free, should go and check out .who knows it might fit you. Its affordable to travel around and the food amazing.
My opinion...you are supercool & ageing and adventure.
Hope & finally you find out what you look in yr life..😊
Thank you 😀😀
What's the name of this park ? Looks like a nice place !
You know when you read those 400 pages books and conclude that it should have been edited and reduced to 150 pages?
That’s how I felt after watching this video. Too much fluff and too little meat.
