      We were given a post-Race 30s penalty because of contact between my team mate and another car on the last lap. Looking at the onboards I don’t think the penalty was justified but so he it.

    I mostly watch motorcycle racing, but it's crazy how fast cars are around a track. You were only around 3 seconds off the pole time in MotoGP, and they have SO much more straight line speed. The difference around tracks like Mugello might be a bit bigger though (Marc Marquez did a 1:45,5. top speed almost 350 on the straight).

    • @DavidPerel
      @DavidPerel  5 років тому

      I think it depends on the track condition, sometimes you'll see some run-offs and kerbs all rubbered and dark but yeah it does look more fresher in game depending on the host server settings.

    David, can I have one question about transmission? In older sim-games I played, it was always possible to tune the gears. To adjust transmission to each specific track... - say very short gears at Monaco vs. long gears for Monza.
    How is it with these GT cars. Gear ratio is not possible to tune? How is it? You have to drive all the season (all tracks) with one setup....? I was wondering about this since there are tracks where you don't even go to 6th gear... Thanks in case you find a time to reply. I am curious about this.

    Hi David! As someone who is an aspiring racing driver, I'm currently working on my business in the marketing sector and it got me thinking.. seeing that you have 21K subs, I was wondering.. do you think having a large social media following may make you slightly more valuable to a team? at any level, I imagine the higher you go maybe not... but at smaller pro series like touring cars and such, do you think a team would find value in a good driver with a large enough following? In hopes, it adds to the marketing and awareness for the team itself.

    Unbelievable how hard you are able to attack these curbs. If you would try the same inn ACC you would loose tons of time because the curbs unsettle the car extremely and have a very high friction so you are in big danger to spin.

    • @DavidPerel
      @DavidPerel  5 років тому +1

      Most simulators get the curbing wrong, not just ACC. GT Sport is too forgiving and iRacing and ACC are too aggressive.

  • @Jaimefumer13

    I came here to compare real life to ACC. So now I can tell that ACC is not accurate. Your driving style is quite aggressive and you use the kerbs (entirely sometimes). In the game I would not validate a lap driving that way. Thank you for sharing. Great video, great quality.

  • @StreetComp
    @StreetComp 4 роки тому

    So much for track limits! Least from camera pov looks like all four tires off track several times on a lap to get fastest time. Also seems like you are kinda manhandling the car around this track and most sims/games aggressively going over curbs like this really upsets the car and causes spins though I haven’t tried ACC.

  • @nothgiel84
    @nothgiel84 Рік тому

    If u go tht wide on the curbs in the game ur lap gets invalidated🤔

  •  3 роки тому

    Well.... KUNOS is marketing the game with "laser scanned track" and David here tells you at first: "kerbs in game are much more dangerous then in real life, we use much more kerb in real life"...
    How can I compare my lap times in the game with real life when I can't drive in the same way. First this thing with different kerb and second - if I drive like David here in the game, my lap will be marked red after first turn - "invalid lap". I realised this when started playing ACC. Then I watched some real races and I was shocked how much they use kerbs, cut corners etc.
    You would expect the game to be more "free" but finally the game is way more "strict" then real life = we can't really compare times.

  • @marcocheng3729
    @marcocheng3729 4 роки тому

    You basically got lap time invalidated when you so aggressively attacking the curb... Real life is better...

    Great laps, thanks for the video. Have to say, I am really amazed of how similar ACC is regarding cornering, gearing and acceleration in these cars - hopefully we'll see you in your own car in ACC one of these days :)
