It is nice, very heartwarming to see the friendship, the bonds that last over time..... the video of just normal life...... not only is it good to see and learn the differences in culture, but also to see that despite the differences, there are so many things that all people share, regardless of skin color or national origin. Thank you Miss Rubeauti. I am married to a good province girl, and we are solid, our bond will not be broken..... but, I am from the US, and she has never been to the US - so she hears things about mt country, from news media, that are either not true, or exaggerated, blown completely out of context - likewise, while I spend a lot of time with her in Canada with her sister, and the network of all her filipina friends, I have not been to the Philippines. So, I have to try and teach her about all the good in America, just through my own words. The interaction with all her friends, the parties with all the food, karaoke, etc., helps expose me to how wonderful Philippine people are, but there is no substitute for immersion in the culture there. Videos like this are so nice to better understand the people of this beautiful country. I always look forward to each one, especially when I am working here in the US, and away from my filipina family. Thank you again, Miss Rubeauti.
Rubeauti, I would join you guys doing it your way. The saying goes: "When in Rome, do as the Romans do" - meaning that we must adapt and respect other people's cultures and rituals. If a person does not want to mix with others then he might just as well not socialize with them and stay on his own. You people look like you know how to party and have fun time together. Thank you for the culture lesson. Please keep them coming.
That was a lot of fun to watch. It really brought back good memories of my visits to the province with my wife when she and the other women would drink light types of alcohol inside the house and the guys would go outside in the evening and sit around and drink emparador and we’d eat snacks like sunflower seeds and jerky. My last visit was 3 years ago before the pandemic. I miss it. Her province is in Cagayan Valley right by the sea.
Tapayan or tempayan (also known as balanga, belanga, or banga) is a large wide-mouthed earthenware or stoneware jars found in various Austronesian cultures in island Southeast Asia. Their various functions include fermenting rice (tapai), fermenting vinegar or alcoholic beverages, storing food and water, cooking, and burial of the deceased. This is the traditional way of storing water and consequently the traditional way of extracting water for drinking.
My ex-wife was from Jamaica, West Indies and taught me how to make 10 quarts of Jamaican Rum Punch. This is really strong and for a big party, like a wedding! (10 quarts = 2.5 imperial gallons, about 9.5 liters.) You need to mix it in a large wash tub! (The punch can be stored, if you keep it refrigerated in clean bottles.) WARNING: This will get anyone seriously drunk and may be more potent on petite Asian people! The Jamaican Rum Punch poem: One of Sour, Two of Sweet, Three of Strong and Four of Weak and A touch of Angostura bitters (to taste.) Serve poured over ice cubes. The Sour = 1 quart of sour lemon juice The Sweet = 2 quarts of sweet strawberry juice The Strong = 3 quarts of 180 proof Jamaican White Rum The Weak = 4 quarts of (Bottled) Water Pour ingredients together in a large tub and stir until well mixed. The results should be pink, like the strawberry juice. Jamaican White Rum is clear, like vodka, but twice as strong! 180 proof is about 90% alcohol! (Vodka is usually more like 90 proof, about 45% alcohol.) Jamaicans use White Rum as an antiseptic. Also to rub down children to lower fever. It's kind of a country person's universal panacea! (It will cure you if it doesn't kill you!) Angostura bitters is an alcoholic liqueur. A product of Trinidad & Tobago, West Indies.
Thank you for sharing your experience. Let me summarize what I've seen: a healing session. First, you tried to repel bad spirits by fire. Second, you killed the parasites living in the stomach. And in meantime, you were replenishing the energy by a continuous flow of food that seemed never to end :))

I’ve lost count of the amount of times that I’ve walked past a group of Filipinos socialising, and they have offered me a drink. Whether it’s on the beach or in the province, Filipinos are the most sociable people I have met, and I’ve visited many countries.
@@Rubeauti Often I have, not every single time. Sometimes I have politely declined for different reasons but I’ve always appreciated their generous offer. Sometimes I’ve just bought them some Red Horse to boost their session.

I dated a Filipina from the Twin Cities, USA for 4-5 months in 2021. She is such a sweetheart. Anyway, I was reminded when you mentioned you turn red while drinking of how her cheeks would turn red...like Santa Claus red when she drank wine. Really like this series you've done on your home turf. Very interesting.

Here no water but we do use real juices like orange juice, cranberry, soda. Jack and coke is one of my favorites if eating at a restaurant. At home or at party straight Jack daniels or Jameson's Irish whiskey as for beer I like Modelo or a IPA.
I would absolutely join in on that if given the honor, especially if it was with people like you, your sister and your friends, it's a great way to learn more about the people, costumes and traditions in person.
You girls are making me homesick. I have been going to the Philippines for almost 15 years and I miss my friends and family very much. Watching your video makes me feel like I'm home. God bless you all stay safe 🙏 ❤️
Hi Rubeauti. It's so fun to watch you be able to have such a good time with your girlfriend's back in the province. I bet it's really hard to leave when the time comes.

I didn't get the purpose of burning the alcohol except to convince someone not to drink so much. Seems like getting people drunk and lighting things on fire could lead to disaster.
Hello Rubeauti haven't seen you online for a while , looks like you all had fun nice to meet up with your friends in the Provence what area are you from is it close to Manila . I hope Rose Anne 's son is ok . Take care and thank you for the video.
@@Rubeauti Thanks for the reply :) I know Tarlac I have past through it on the bus many times :) I will look forward to some home videos from you . Good news to heat Rose Anne's has recovered ok . Its to bad that you can't video outside is that just in the Global City area ? I always enjoyed your walking tours also you keep fit videos oh yes and your fashion shows you are such a pretty lady you do it well. So good to see you back as always take care stay safe .
Rubeauti, one of your friends have a bag of I guess chips called Pee Wee? What are those? TANG, I have not had that in years, might have to try that mix :)
We don't drink a lot? My wife is from the provinces in Mindanao, and that's all they do is drink, but mostly Red Horse Beer. I could never keep up with my wife and her friends because they drink and drink and drink and then karaoke and karaoke and karaoke.
That’s very true. Compared to almost all American women I know in my lifetime I’d say that the typical Filipina can more than hold their own in any drinking game. 😂
Out at Agoo where my lady is from, drinking with her brothers (my treat) plenty of Red Horse was downed 🤣🤣 Then again in Tarlac I had a fine whiskey I took with me from the U.K 😁and plenty of San Miguel and Philippine Brandy .. Strangely the ladies didn't bother - is that a culture thing where the ladies leave the men to it ?
It looks like you and your friends over all had a good time. I would caution you against putting a flame by a bottle of alcohol like that as if it is strong enough it could be drawn inside and explode the bottle. I hope Rosa's son is ok and his injury wasn't too serious. Having hit my head a lot as a kid I know it bleeds a lot but usually isn't too bad an injury. I love your outfit, it fits your slender and elegant figure. You truly are a beauty. Here in the US many ladies like the sweet drinks, you might try mixing some sugar and calamansi juice with the gin or here we use tonic water. Take care.
It’s all good. The gin they are drinking is diluted. It’s only about 40 proof. Notice the flame wasn’t a pure blue. Now if they were drinking 150 proof Rum you’d be absolutely right. BTW, they make some truly excellent Rums in the Philippines. They also produce some very good cigars though they are hard to find outside of Manila.
Lol..here the party's not over till someone goes to the hospital lol👍👍💀.. I real like your vids they are so truthful..thank you again..say hi to all your friends

I didn't get the purpose of burning the alcohol except to convince someone not to drink so much. Seems like getting people drunk and lighting things on fire could lead to disaster.
"The burning of the alcohol is...fake news" So funny!
I love gin but without any kind of juice.that 350ml gin is equivalent to 3 liters rehorse beer for me 🍻
Hello Rubeauti haven't seen you online for a while , looks like you all had fun nice to meet up with your friends in the Provence what area are you from is it close to Manila .
Interesting Rubeauty.. 😁 I would worry about the flame reducing the alcohol content 😁😁
I love Rose Ann !
Rubeauti, you just eat the noodles out of the pot without a bowl? 13:40
Who is the girl with the glasses and yellow top🤔? Cute
A subject you should do is
Do you trust your Filipina friends with your foreigner boyfriend ?
@@Rubeauti I mean
" Do you trust your Filipina friend's with your foreigner boyfriend ?
I realy like RoseAnn!!!🥰🥰💕💕😘😘😊😊🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷
Great video and I injoy watching it.. I hope someday I get a chance to come out to the Philippines for vacation..😁👍📹❤️
What part of the province are you in?
Rubeauti, one of your friends have a bag of I guess chips called Pee Wee? What are those? TANG, I have not had that in years, might have to try that mix :)
TANG is brand of sachet juice. And the flavor is pomelo its kinda like big version of orange
Interesting. Be careful.
However, my Filipina wife, who grew up on the provinces can get sh@t faced drunk with half a glass of red wine so go figure. 😂😂😂
Rubeauti I like Hidla I would like to me her she funny
@@Mottleydude1 It is actually 80 proof. I am pointing out it is a dangerous practice since it is flaming and it can have bad results.
Lol..here the party's not over till someone goes to the hospital lol👍👍💀.. I real like your vids they are so truthful..thank you again..say hi to all your friends
I dont know about that drink mix, i would bring with me Baccardi rum to mix🙂
im against alcohol
