I don’t get why people hate this, honestly playing as Sonic in this form is awesome. It was really fun and beating up the enemies was such a huge blast.
Because they spammed one button and instead of blaming themselves for their trash skills, they blamed the game. Even though the werehog genuinely had fun combat and great platforming. A good change of pace from going fast all the time.
@@jesuspernia8031 And people complain about the newer Sonic games (not counting Frontiers) being very stale and boring, from boosting and drifting from point A to point B, dashing through all the enemies, making the levels very short, making the whole game very boring (pretty much Sonic Forces in a nutshell).
@@misterniceguy429 To be fair only Forces had that problem. Generations was absolutely amazing for both modern and classic. And Colors only had that problem in SOME levels but overall I found finding new routes and speed running Colors very fun. Now Cyberspace Frontiers is a different animal. Because it’s got incredibly good movement tech and you can just play around with new routes and paths using the lock on air boost mechanic. I haven’t had that much fun playing boost style sonic since Unleashed and Generations.
@@jesuspernia8031 It’s because Sega listens to their fans too much. While it is good take in feedback, a lot of the criticisms for a number of Sonics games tend to be one of these. •It’s not like the Genesis games. •Sonic shouldn’t be driving a car. •Sonic shouldn’t be using a hover board. •The werehog is a dumb concept. •The werehog is too slow. •Sonic should always be fast. •Sonic’s eyes shouldn’t be green. •Sonic shouldn’t have blue arms. •Don’t call anybody. Those criticisms are total BS and is what made some of Sonic’s games stale and childish. Sega needs to do this with the Sonic series. •Take their time with the game and not rush it. •Make sure that the games engine can run properly on the system it’s on. •Be more experimental with the series. (make an RPG or a collect-a-thon). •Have other playable characters besides Sonic. •Move on from the Genesis games. •Have a good story. •Do not have Classic Sonic shoehorned in (I’m looking at you Forces). •Have good boss fights (Again looking at you Forces, not counting the fight against Zavok).
I hated werehog because the frame rate was absolute trash,I got a fucking migraine every time I opened up one of those night stages on my ps3,not to mention the game is optimized like absolute dogshit for ps3,I always wanted to end it because the framerate was trash.(I should’ve emulated the game)
The combat looks like so much fun and action-packed. The platforming could take some time to understand and master but I'll find a way to manage. I hope I find a copy at a yard sale for a cheap price. I found Super Mario Galaxy 2 at a yard sale years ago. I could strike gold at another one.

Looks so surreal at 60.... Can't wait to get back into speedrunning the werehog after I -find- get a Series X!
The 1st Werehog stage is one of my favorite night levels!
This game was intended to be a 3D Ristar title. The combos and moves are fitting for the Shooting Star.
what about the other half of the game
It could have been "Sonic & Ristar"

I'm not sure if this is cheap enough for you, but it's currently available on Xbox's own marketplace for $14.99 US. It also goes on sale occasionally.

Great
I love sonic the werehog
Me too don’t listen to the haters
Now i know from what music came super pro spy.
And of course a game I want to replay with this buttery smooth FPS is also on the system I don't have the need or money for.
ikr
Yeah, i want a Nintendo Switch but i would buy the Series X/S *just* for Sonic Unleashed
Still waiting for the mod that turns the Sonic/Werehog stages into the best Sonic and Knuckles game of all time
Keep waiting then.

I'm playing in Japanese
Why do you play japanese when you are english?
It's the werehog's voice and better in English in my opinion
