I just watched this and my door was stuck shut, but I had to put the small screwdriver above the latch handle, not below it. It worked!

Dude you saved me so much time. I used a narrow putty knife that is kind of angled about 30 degrees near the handle.

How to open dishwasher door that doesn’t have a latch. Mine opens by pulling.
I had to drill a small hole in the plastic handle to get to the latch, because the plastic piece extended below what is shown in the video. Otherwise, the washer is identical and the latch opened in the same way.
