I'm a legit crypto rookie, I've researched using your video how to's, and even I realized crypto exchanges were only a place to hold crypto while buy and selling. I set up a cold wallet before I ever set up an exchange account. Why would you get into crypto to just keep your coin in an unregulated uninsured bank account?
These days even self-custody doesn't matter... especially when the project themselves destroy their own coins with shady practices and scams. The safest money in crypto right now, is the money that isn't in it.
The problem is some cryptos are too expensive to transfer. One eth based coin I hold wanted $8 worth of it to transfer about $300 worth and then I assume it would be another $8 to transfer it back to an exchange
The fees on exchanges for coins are already expensive and then with things like ETH you have to quite literally "time" when to withdraw to avoid getting hit with an even more ridiculous gas fee
@@ijustwanttoaskaquestion106 I've heard it's possible to connect ledger to metamask thus making MM a cold storage wallet, ive watched YT videos on it, maybe that might be a solution for you for private custody?

Just use Matic with small amounts and for games. Store value in BTC. The gas fees on Matic are between $0.0005 to a whopping $0.01.... Yes the most ive ever paid is about a cent.....
the one thing nobody ever explains is how can we buy crypto without it hitting an exchange at all. Because sometimes they after buying any crypto, an exchange will make you wait 3-5 days before it lets you transfer it to your hot/cold wallet. Anyone help? :)

Personally have bought beanie from the merch store. Thinking about buying a steel word protector. Your work is greatly appreciated so. Thank you guy.
I must confess i have heavly reduced the amount off crypto i have on an exchange. I was staking some of my bitcoin but is 2% worth it? I don't think so, therfor its now all on my hardware wallet. I've also exchanged all the cryptos that i can't hold on my hardware wallet for something i can. Which is now all on there. I now only have a very small amount on my exchange which i stake.
I keep a small amount of cardano stored on youri wallet for staking. But al my other crypto is on my ledger x and in a fire proof safe in a emp safe bag . And i have two sets of metal key words and not in the same place one with my ledger and the pther just as safe .
Bitvavo, (Netherlands) is regulated and garanteed to €100k per client. For theft and bankruptcy of Bitvavo.. So when below that amount, it is as safe as othe FIAT banks in Netherlands.
a cold wallet has other potential risks, including theft of the device, damage of the device loss of the wallet and even loss of the password. So even cold wallets are not foolproof. Estimated that already over 2 million Bitcoin have been lost due to lost passwords
Its a hard balancing act when you only have a couple of thousand dollars worth of Crypto - the risk and 22% APR on the first 20 DOT vs. the safety and 0% APR on DOT is not easy.
Is there any guidance available to get crypto off of Coinbase onto a Ledger wallet?….Wondering how straightforward it actually is and avoiding it going tits-up and not actually making it onto the cold storage?
See how people keep watching your older content! 😮😀 I like the idea of a hardware wallet. Do I have a worry that if the device itself suffered an electronic failure that I would not be able to retrieve my crypto?
Just guessing. Really quite curious why the most promising both software and hardware wallet, open source incoming, but Safepal is treated like dog poop by Coin Bureau.
Hey man, I get the message and I fully agree but, how do I move coins from the exchange to my wallet without having to pay most of it in fees? Please answer this question bro??

I bought a new ledger nano X from a local reseller and you can buy it just make sure you first run the Ledger check and then reset the wallet once, so it will generate a new seed + you can open the wallet and look if there are any weird things.
Agreed, $150 of Aave costs $6 to transfer. I have other coins on an exchange that my Trezor and Ledger do not support, NAKA, PBX, SCLP, Theta.
The fees on exchanges for coins are already expensive and then with things like ETH you have to quite literally "time" when to withdraw to avoid getting hit with an even more ridiculous gas fee
that why eberbody starts moving away from eth
@@ijustwanttoaskaquestion106 I've heard it's possible to connect ledger to metamask thus making MM a cold storage wallet, ive watched YT videos on it, maybe that might be a solution for you for private custody?
I moved A LOT of ETH and only paid a couple bucks. Transfer when Gas prices are low. Thats not much money to transfer my ETH.
Worth mentioning metanask can support Binance smart chain...
This is gold to all crypto investors. I hope it's taken seriously by everyone! Good 🤞🏻 Luck
How about a review on the Tangem Wallet? It's pretty new. Great information. I'm enjoying your channel. Clear explainations. Thanks.
yep, richard heart been saying this for years. people call him a scammer while trusting the ACTUAL scammers. time and time again.
Truthful people say things that may offend you. Scammers are charismatic and make you feel good about your bad decision. "Logically" the scammers have your best interest at heart since feelings are more important than facts(else ye be racist).
If people can't trust exchanges but can't afford to pay the high fees of taking it off exchanges how is crypto ever supposed become more mainstream?
if people don't trust the banks how will money become mainsteam??? DUH!
Just use Matic with small amounts and for games. Store value in BTC. The gas fees on Matic are between $0.0005 to a whopping $0.01.... Yes the most ive ever paid is about a cent.....
Polite reminder: you shilled Celsius, Nexo et al. I learned about them through you!
I don't have the private keys to my retail bank vault either and I am sure they are loaning out my funds to other people.
£233.87 is the Trezor price not £173 ( $213 ) as you've stated? Has Trezor jacked prices again? Great video again Thanks.
the one thing nobody ever explains is how can we buy crypto without it hitting an exchange at all. Because sometimes they after buying any crypto, an exchange will make you wait 3-5 days before it lets you transfer it to your hot/cold wallet. Anyone help? :)
SafePal is a new awesome HW , better than Ledger or Trezor
MetaMask is not just Ethereum-compatible. It is compatible with most EVM-compatible chains, like Polygon, BSC, Cronos, etc.
Coin bureau. Is one of the best things to happen to crypto since it’s invention with BTC please take this again as a great complement and hope it’s good motivation to continue with the work.
Hello, should I only have one wallet, or should I separate my assets in a lot of different wallets?
why didn't he mention wright your key on a paper wallet... Cant think of safer one!
You would had thought people would had learned after Celsius and voyager
Bitvavo, (Netherlands) is regulated and garanteed to €100k per client. For theft and bankruptcy of Bitvavo..
So when below that amount, it is as safe as othe FIAT banks in Netherlands.
Do note, metamask supports almost all EVM chains - polygon, avalanch, fantom, dfk chain etc
yeah i was wondering the same thing. He mentioned that Meta only supports Ethereum. Its supports a ton of chains..
a cold wallet has other potential risks, including theft of the device, damage of the device loss of the wallet and even loss of the password.
I prefer the BitBox02 Hardware Wallet.
Hi, could you please advise about pre sale coins .... orbeon protocol?????
See how people keep watching your older content! 😮😀 I like the idea of a hardware wallet. Do I have a worry that if the device itself suffered an electronic failure that I would not be able to retrieve my crypto?
8:10 oh, so that’s why i never hear safepal wallet on coin Bureau. They now have the safepal cypher steel.
Just guessing. Really quite curious why the most promising both software and hardware wallet, open source incoming, but Safepal is treated like dog poop by Coin Bureau.
I love the Trezor T wallet
Hey man, I get the message and I fully agree but, how do I move coins from the exchange to my wallet without having to pay most of it in fees? Please answer this question bro??
You can't. That's why people leave their coins on the exchange. If you're moving 5+ figures around it can easily chew through $100+ in fees, each way. Guy omits to mention this is his video which is poor form imo.
@@wagmiorngmi I have asked a couple of times if he could go over this information but I'm not sure he has seen my messages and I haven't seen many people mention it. I am hoping he advises prior to the staged Russian Hack attack that will rob everyone of everything they have
If I owned more than like $200 worth of crypto I'd worry about it.
MetaMask supports other networks as well..? I use it with Avalanche, Binance Smart Chain and Polygon
Here is some ideas for you guys to make a video of the place you've decided to live ! Hope it helps. In reality, a side of Dubai exists that is characterized by stark social stratification, appalling living conditions for migrant workers, environmental problems, and the lack of freedom of speech, among many other issues.
Every single youtuber says hold your own keys but you go to buy a cold wallet and the wait to recieve it tsakes so long that three other exchanges already collapsed thanks for getting us to panic buy
Bitbox is missing
thanks Guy. Glad to know I'm self-custodying correctly :-) You forgot to include the link to those Steel seedphrase things though and I' like to get one
Metamask can actually be configured to support multiple chains, ETH, BSC, Polygon and Avalanche just to name a few.
Thank you for all this information!! I plan to get one of these.
Consider this Guy. Once we have all taken all our crypto off of the exchanges, then all of a sudden it becomes scarcer for new buyers and any of us still DCA'ing. I see this as bullish. Any input please?
