    Gonna be purchasing 2 of your products. One for alkalinity and the other for calcium. Would be nice if you lowered the price a bit since $50 is quite alot of money, especially when your buying two. Total cost is $106.00 :/

    In your video at 1:33 when you show the tip attached to syringe , the video does not show how much of the reagent was pulled into the tip for a precise 1 ml measure . There is no marker on the tip as well . The question is how much of the tip needs to be filled for 1 ml

      Raj, thats a great point. The syringe should have hash marks on the side. You want to pull the plunger to the last marker. here's a more in depth video. ua-cam.com/video/POCcqKjeUyE/v-deo.html

      the tip u ask to connect to the syringe has no marker - till where is the 1 ml mark ? - the video u linked has the same issue

      Raj, the tip that comes with the kit is meant for the syringe that also comes with the kit. When attached, it's designed to measure exactly 1mL of reagent when the plunger of the syringe is at the last hash marker of the syringe. As youll see in this photo instagram.com/p/BgzDP2bAlLN/?taken-by=hanna_aqua There are hash marks all along the syringe. You want to pull the plunger all the way to the last one.

    Is there any difference between the HI772-26 Reagent and the HI755-26 Reagent?

    What is the range on this and is it suitable for all waters. Would it work on a water with some suspended solids/turbidity?

    In the siring they have xtra line after 0.1 ml so I don't have to worry about that? Is kinda confusing this test lol 😂

      The syringe comes with a tip that ensures you aspirate the right amount. Without the tip, you would want to expel the excess to get the line just right. Hope this helps!

    Are you filling with sample until the lower end of the surface tension (the bottom of the 'U') sits along the 10ml line?

    • @HannaInc
      @HannaInc  7 років тому

      Hi,
      Yes the bottom of the meniscus, the "U" should be on the 10 ml line.

    • @HannaInc
      @HannaInc  2 місяці тому

      Hi there! Yes, that is okay to use. When you purchase more reagents, it will come with another syringe with the tip for you.

  • @magwarblood
    @magwarblood 8 років тому

    do you HAVE to have the tip on the syringe for this to work correctly????????

    • @HannaInc
      @HannaInc  8 років тому

      The tip help ensure accuracy, while also keeping your syringe clean with a free moving plunger. You could of course use it without the syringe tip; For best accuracy we just recommend that you do.

    How I can toll what is my alkalinity? I have the same you guys have my result was 7.9 that's the dkh? How I know my ask? Is kinda hard

    • @HannaInc
      @HannaInc  7 років тому +3

      Hey!
      So the HI772 displays Alkalinity in measurement of dKH. If you have the HI755, it displays Alkalinity as ppm of CaCO3. To determine your alkalinity in dKH from a measurement of ppm, multiply your result by .056.
      Healthy levels of alkalinity are 7-11 dKH. 125-200 ppm CaCO3 equivalents

    • @Ruffles206
      @Ruffles206 7 років тому

      So tha one is the same as alkalinity? But they give you results in ppm right? And dkh and alkalinity is the same?

    • @HannaInc
      @HannaInc  7 років тому

      right. ppm and dkh are two different units of measurement for Alkalinity. Some people preferred to read their measurements in dKH, so we accommodated for that with the newest Alkalinity checker.
      Both are measuring Alkalinity, just two different units of measurement.
      Hope it helps!
