- Here are is my in salon gray coverage tutorial featuring Redken’s cover fusion line for multi faceted and great gray coverage. Also talked about how common gray hair is on young clients and wanted to shed some light on this topic. We need to normalize gray because it has nothing to do with age and is way more common than we think!
Root touch up color formula
1.5 oz of 5NN Redken cover fusion + 20 vol
Applied and let process for about 35 minutes
(45 mins for super stubborn gray)

My mom is 91 with dementia and still refuses to see grey on her head, her short hair cut must be kept up and her eyebrows done 😆 I got you momma! 💇🏻♀️💆🏻♀️
Momma must be proud of you
How young are you sweet heart?
I started getting gray hair at the age of 17, now I'm 26
I cover it regularly but sometimes I get tired and I just let it be I'm sick with people making it seem like a disease or something to be ashamed of!!!
It's natural and very human so please ladies don't lose your self confidence over this
I actually had people tell me that I had gray before I was aware that I had gray. It was a little unsettling, I was about in my mid 20's and I really thought that I'd be all gray early but years and years later I'm about 40%, very salt and pepper.
As I watch your video, I notice how gentle, thoughtful, and methodical you are in handling your client's hair....you have such a kind approach. I think this caught my attention because it's such a stark contrast to my first visit at a salon. The stylist was so rough and rushed through the process, it was unpleasant. Good on you! Your clients are fortunate to have you.
She must be charging hefty amount
She is!
I love 💕💕😊 these videos they’re just so like real and honest and just like perfect
Thank you!! 🖤🖤
I started getting white hair at 24, and I have dark brown hair. Now, at 37 it's already everywhere and it affected my confidence tbh. But watching this and seeing others on the same boat, kind of gives me a push...so thank you🙏❤️
Girl yes I’m 36 & my grays are awful
Same. Had a Rogue (Xmen) streak of silver on the left since I was in my early 20’s. I’m 36 and honestly I’ve never had to visit a salon for colouring but this March just gone I noticed I’ve greyed all over just like the client in the video. Like I greyed overnight 😮
I’m 36. As a natural dark brunette, I had wanted to be platinum blonde most of my life. A few years ago, I stopped getting my hair bleached and “accepted” being a brunette. Then shortly after, I noticed a ton of white hairs. Now, I’m over 60-70% white/silver on the top of my head with it spread more sparsely through the rest of my hair. I started doing temp dyes but I just can’t keep up with the maintenance and it’s really knocked my self esteem. I’m already unable to work due to health issues, and that is beyond hard enough but now my appearance is also making me lose so much confidence at my age. I’m hoping to find a way to (cheaply) blend my white/silver hair with my natural so I can embrace my hair color turning white at such a young age and also not have such harsh lines of demarcation. (I’ve let it just grow out with no temp colors for almost two years now though)
Loving this ❤ Fabulously brunette. Ms. Silvia , luv how you bust these gray myths on how to handle coloring grey. Especially! the one you did for us blonde gals ; that are told to color darker to cover gray. Redken Color fusion rocks just like you. ⚘
Her color is beautiful! Looks like you highlighted her, super impressive!!💇🏻♀️
I started going grey noticeably around 39. I'm nearly 41 and dye my hair often. I love how fresh I feel after I colour it and although I dint have an issue with anyone else going grey...I've decided I love the glossy...rich colour far to much and it makes me feel good. That's the most important think....do your thing :)
Loved seeing you at work!!!
Your client looks so beautiful! Great job! 👍👍
SO nicely done! I just LOVE watching your videos!! xo
Thank you! I started going gray at 22... and had a full blown breakdown. luckily I’m a dark blonde... but it’s my dads fault since he started going grey at 20 years old!
Wow you so young for get gray hair me I am 43 yrs old and I just see the other day some gray hair but 4 or 5 single hair ....but you know what the good thing we can dying our hair
@@ngeleyes.18 Lucky my dad's dad was like that. My grandpa had less white hair at 83 years old than my dad did at 50 years old.
@@ngeleyes.18 you are lucky. My natural hair is dark brown and gray hair show a lot. I tried to dye it blonde but it was worse, not I have blonde, dark brown and dark brown with gray. I look like a rainbow.
My hair started going gray when I was 17. At 37, I stopped covering it with hair dye. I'm 40 now and am quite happy with not coloring it. Have you thought about doing a video on natural gray hair styling, or even a video on women who purposely dye their hair gray/silver?
Yes, please!
Until I was 36 o 37 I had like 15 white hairs total in my whole head, that I had perfectly located and dealt with them by parting. But then, whitening accelerated, now I'm almost 39 and I think I'll be almost a 10-15% white right now. I actually don't care going silver-white. This is the way it has to be. They're not visible unless you're really close to my hair and I know people at my age have considerably more white hairs than I do. Plus, I'm a level 6-7 and they look like highlights, mostly around the face.
Yes please I need that too
Me too ! So happy, I stopped dying it. My hair is much healthier and I get many compliments.
If I do that my professional career will die. In information system everybody expects a young wiz... I retouch my roots at home every 2 or 3 weeks. You look fantastic
Beautiful model and great job on her coverup!
Nice!! I’ve been covering mine since I was 30. I’m going to ask for a gloss next time!!
It looks so natural, loved it
I have a lot of gray hair. I usually use ash brown to get rid of the red undertones in my brown hair. It looks much better!! I love the color!! 😊
I'm only 36 and grey almost all over but love this as I'm very dark nothing showed up now I can experiment with bold bright colours. Embrace it ladies young or old ❤
Wow, I was told by a styles that if you cover up grey it is hard because it pulls warm tones to your hair....???... this looks great! Wish you could do mine! I'm blonde my roots a a little darker and i have grey just on top.... would love to see one on a blonde client!! Ty
I LOOOOOOVE her gray, I think it looks gorgeous!! ❤️❤️❤️ I can't wait until mine gets more gray in it 😍
Beautiful color, perfect for her complexion
Please make a video on how you style your hair like that!! I absolutely love it!!
I have! Check our last weeks video! 😊
Looks exactly like my grays! I started growing grays in my late 20s now I'm 39. My touch ups only last 3-4 weeks. I have to cover with touch up spray in between visits.
You could try getting a semi permanent or Demi permanent colour to freshen up at home between visits
BEAUTIFUL work!
I'm going gray, but I like for a little gray to show in my blonde hair--I like the play of different shades.
Definitely adding in a Demi next time to refresh my ends
Gorgeous work as always Silvia 🌟
Thanks Tracy!
got first gray hairs at 24, thankful for hair coloring more and more :)
Amazing work as always!😉 👍 💯
Love the color! Gorgeous 😊
Thank you for this video. I like to do my own roots just to cover my grays. I leave the high and low- lights to my stylist.
Amazing job girlie💗
You are such a boss Silvia!😍
re: preventing or slowing Grey Hair. Grey hair can be caused or accelerated by Copper Deficiency. I just read that recently b/c I had a friend with Crohn's who became severely Copper Deficient. His hair turned grey at a young age.
That color was beautiful, I a brunette too , but older. I like how handle the hair.
one of my classmate back in 3rd grade noticed that I already had gray hair. I thought it was a joke but it really was there. being teases about bothered me at first but then I got used to it. I really wanna try this one soon 😊
I love that video so much I have a gray in my hair and you show me the camera 😊 👍💕
What an amazing color job
Her confidence was shining

I started going grey at 11 on my right side at the temple, 32 now and about 40% grey, dyed my hair more times than I care to remember!

you both have great glowy skin
I luv the colors beautiful.
I love this! May I ask, what color or toner do you use on yourself ? I would love this color on me
Great job!!
I would go the distance to have Ellabangs do my hair...
Big fan...(aka Silvia) 😊
Wow looks so Natural ..
I’d pay big bucks to have u as my stylist sooo sick of having my hair destroyed or not getting the results I want. They either chop it all off, color it too dark or don’t listen to what I want regardless of the level stylist they are. I’ve been all over trying to find a really good stylist & I live in fla!
Absolutely beautiful..
HOLA!
PRECIOSO EL RESULTADO DEL COLOR,,,CON MUCHÍSIMO BRILLO.
ENHORABUENA!
Lo segundo que pones en el pelo cuando esta ya lavabo q COLOR ES?
GRACIAS
Great work! You're so gentle with the hair too! And OMG, where did you find pink gloves? I need those.
Gorgeous!!!
Me every four weeks
This looks stunning. What was the gloss called you put on second please?
I always had graying hair mostly in my 30's and I did get a few one to 2 in my 20's and my mom would say don't pull it out or you'll get 2 in it's place. I didn't know until today other women suffered with this also I was embarrassed because I thought it was just me! But I'm 48 and glad I'm not alone and I'm not the only one! Thank you for this vlog it sure made me feel better about myself because I've always been hard on myself!
Perfect.
Maravilhosa. Adorei seu trabalho.
Lugar lindo e a cliente ficou perfeita . Adoraria ir num salão cuidar dos cabelos e receber um champanhe enquanto fico linda kkkkkkk . Parabéns 🌻👏👏👏👏👏🥰
Hi Elle. What product for shine and protection did you use after removing the color..? Thank you.!
BTW SFco is my home town. I now live in Fl. Cheers 🎀💖🎀
My husband who is 26 is about 30% grey. It’s so normal !
Appreciate that ☺
I'm 28 and I've been letting my whites/greys bother me a little over time
Probably making them worse 😆
After rinse which product was applied all over? Thank you for your tips I will apply it on my hair
Wow I need this colur by hair is same like her🥰
Honestly I think gray hair looks so good on brunettes, and she can definitely pull it off. She looks great both ways, and you did an awesome job making her brunette hair look totally natural and flawless. ^_^
No it does not!!!!! 😂
great video! I have a question. Would you suggest to a client like this beautiful young lady that maybe she should try a flattering shade of blonde? So the regrowth doesn't show quite as soon?
Can you add the SEQ to ends the last 10-20 min of processes to touch up ends or do you have to or rather like to do at shampoo bowl? Also how long did you leave on? Thanks!!
Such a gorgeous rich brown. Do you mind sharing your Redken shades eq formula?
Same color and level as as the roots.
05N shades EQ
My first gray started in my early twenties, I blame chronic illness and family (deaths) trauma for it but I had no idea it’s that common actually ;) good thing I’m blonde so it doesn’t stand out as much as it does on darker hair but still pretty annoying!
silvia what gloss nr u used for this case? thanks
GORGEOUS 👍😍
Do you have one or can you do a video to show how to cover gray hair roots on someone with naturally brown/ or dark hair but the rest is blonde (sandy blonde)?
Great job
Hi hun I like watching ur videos. I have grays at young age now I want to color it and also wats it to be cover with the light color I don’t like dark color please which light shades covers the gray
Thank you!!!👍👍👍
I have had grey hair since I was 15 years old. I am 40 now. So when people asked me it does not make feel uncomfortable
Hi Silvia, I am having problems coloring my brown hair at root area. It is about this color but when I cover the grey it immediately pulls red tone and the rest is nicely ash brown. I dont suit the warm brown. Should I use 5NN or do you recommend another color for hair that pulls red too much? Also what shade for the EQ gloss? loving your new cut and your lips are way better now i see you were developing a lisp from before. You are so gorgeous. Thanks for posting you made my day and gave me hope. ps I tried overtone espresso and it pulled burgandy on the top eeek!!! Loved it very nice but taking forever to wash out. Should I try black?
She never awnsers pfff
Is 20 vol the best for covering stubborn grays? I use drugstore boxed dye and it never covers grays well. Thank you so much :)
Is this permanent or temp. Color ? Looks great !
This is such a clean job - my hairdresser gets hair dye all over my forehead :_(
Very nice 👍😘.....i love your lipstick. What color is it ????
What shade of the EQ gloss did you use on her hair? My shade is also 5NN but I'd love some gloss!
Can you do this on balayaged hair
Love it!🤗👍💞
Please do a video on tips how to transition from natural blond hair to gray gradually. I'm in my eary 30s. I have natural strawberry blond hair. Pretty thin hair but a fair amount of it. Stick straight and soft. I'm getting a fair white hairs mosty around my hairline. It's gotten to the pint that it looks like white highights abouve my ears. Women in my family historically have gone white not gray pretty early in their lives. To be honest I'm looking forward to this time so I can play with pastel colours etc. However I's like to make a transition from strawberry blond (almost a readhed on second and third day hair) to this white as smooth as possible. I'd like to do it without damaging my oretty healthy hair in the process too. I've searched interned hight and low an all I can find is how to make transition from dying you hair to letting it grow out to gray less noticeably, with highlights lowlights babylights bleaching etc. But NOTHING on hw to transition from natural to grey. Thank you in advace for any advice
Nice job
Hi can you please tell what you use after first rinsed with water for shine hair 😊🙏
Her roots looks lighter and with a hint of orange, after her first wash she will uncover the grays and will make it lighter. She needed doble pigment there.
5nn means double pigment
Cristina Andrea do u have a channel we need to check out? Or u just throwing shit to see if it will stick? This lady is super nice so don’t be disrespectful
Brown hair has a lot of red undertones. I know because my hair is medium brown with red undertones. I was told by a hair colorist to use ash brown hair color to take out the red undertones. Just saying. 😊
Hi! What color is shades eq did you use for the gloss? Thanks!
You are a genius ❤ loved it this is what I want and need I’m 26 and I have gray hair showing on my roots but I do to want to damage the rest of my hair this is perfect hope I can find someone to help me 🫶🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Looks beautiful... :)
Great! 👍🏼 which brand of hair spray and on what on what strength, are you using?
I actually used Redken’s new triple dry texture spray! Gives great texture and a soft hold!
I've also done root color for my gray hair. Which shampoo and conditioner I could use for my hair?
Wow she has lovly hairs
I don’t know if you will Respond to this but will you do a updated video with the new formula that came out for no brassiness ? Also what color did you use for the rest of the hair for the shine?
Can you use shampoo to wash hair dye out of hair? I’m going to start dying my hair at home and wasn’t sure If you can
Pretty!
