Russ is gonna surprise alot of people this year. We all know how Mike Tomlin can get the absolute best out of his players. Can't wait for the season to start already....
Just his production alone last year clears any Qb we had ever since Ben & the last few years ALL we needed was someone to even put up 20+ TDs and it hasn’t happened.. I tried to tell ppl what we missed was good production at QB don’t even need elite. If Russ can almost put up 3 tds a game we’re a juggernaut team & that’s INCLUDING the run game then we will be a beyond great shape.

Justin fields splash plays is what we were missing last year.. I would rather see what Justin fields can do with a great defense that’s going to put him in good situations. 29 touchdowns sound good on the stat sheet but splash plays are what we really need on the ground and air
I don’t want neither to fail, my dream senario is for Russ and the offense to dominate games to the point that they sit some of the starters and bring in Justin an let him do his thing that way we see them both perform, also I want Russ here for a while then we give the keys to Justin and let him takeover as our Franchise guy!!

The Steelers had 16 rushing TDs last year. IF russ throes for around 30 TDs with our rushing being the same as last year that's 332 points. That's 129 MORE points score by TDs than last season. All by Russ just playing the same as last year. That's at least 4 more wins worth of points.

One of these QBs has produced the standard in his career before. One of these QBs has the potential to reach it. Give me the QB that has produced. Simple.
I’m with Deke here. Wilson this year, maybe even part of next season. Let Fields develop some like he should have originally and see Russ do it. Fields for future. Justin already said once in OTAs that he saw Russ doing things and thought he should be doing them too. Biggest thing is that Wilson wins games most of the time. Fields has talent, he needs to refine some things and work on how to win.

Ah yes let’s ask a question but with restrictions so that we get an answer we like. You wanna ignore that a guy who had people thinking Tyson Hill could be a QB in this league couldn’t figure out a way to make Wilson look good. Ignore the fact a team willingly took a huge hit financially cause they didn’t want him on the team anymore. Mahomes didn’t have a great year last year but are we saying he’s bad now cause of his stats? No, cause we saw he made the plays when it mattered. Russ had ok stats but when it mattered he couldn’t translate that into wins.

can't always look at stats tho they both struggled...there 3 year stats are pretty close think fields has more upside and wilson is on the back end of his career....I don't compare Seattle russ stats anymore that player is long gone... I wanna see who will be are future qb fields isnt going to sit and wait on steelers wanna see fields eat he is the younger more athlete qb
fields was banged up last year and noone gives him a break lol o but russ gets one lol seattle russ is long gone ....russ can look good throughing when theres no defense running at him will see come season time..and fields didn't have good coaches for him or his situation either but again no excuses for him

Your commentary likes context. You talk about Russ’s situation not being optimal, but you didn’t do the same in Justin’s case. Look at Al the offseason additions the Bears made for Caleb. New OC, two new no. 1 receivers, a new running back, tight end and center. That’s half of the starting lineup Fields had to work with last season. That’s more offensive help in one offseason than Fields got in three seasons; not to mention Fields is clearly a play action down the field passer and not a check down Charlie like Gesty tried to make him. The Author Smith offense is Taylor made for Fields skill set. Talk to me at the end of the season.

Six teams used a top twelve first round pick on a QB when they could've had JF for a thrid or fourth. CJ had more lineman hurt than at any other time in NFL history he and they don;t cry like you. JF is not an NFL QB and that's OK> Stop making excuses for him.
