I personally never understood why people stay in expensive Disney hotels. (Grand floridian) Like I’m going to be all day in the parks I’ll be in the room just to sleep. I won’t use the pool or amenities. I guess it makes sense for families with little kids that need to nap.
Me too I stayed at art of animation because I loved the theming and it was cheaper but I relized I was doing 6am to 12pm every night and my hotel was for sleeping only so now I go cheap and bring a rental car
my family loves staying at the contemporary mainly for the view. we always get a theme park view so it’s kind of nice to be able to be in whatever park all day long (even universal) & then come back & watch the fireworks with snacks & just my family!! we also rly enjoy the restaurant options & having the monorail / walking trails to parks as an option!!
Some people (like me) like to resort hop or tour the hotels. We actually make room for one day just to do that. Disney World has so many hotels that it's like a theme park itself and the deluxe hotels are the best to tour.
It's all about your options. I'm a huge fan of Pop Century but I also had a chance at staying at a Deluxe Resort... Deluxe Resort was a little more accessible and had more accessible doors. I could go everywhere. Stayed at All Star Sports... I couldn't even open most of the doors! And to think, these resorts were built after ADA! I'm essentially paying what some of us call a "cripple tax" but the cheaper resorts are thought of as for families... and I guess they think there won't be any disabled older children/teens who do have some independence. It's pretty sad. But that said, Disney is still the only accessible place I can visit. ...And they still need improvements being "the only".
Sol, that logic is why I have a lifetime membership in Hostelling International! My first hostel trip, I spent a week plus in New Orleans, one block from the St. Charles streetcar, for $23/night! Hostels have dormitory beds, but they also usually have a *full* kitchen, sometimes with free pancakes every morning, so you can hit a grocery store and buy regular food at regular prices for breakfast and dinner, eat hot food whenever you want, and if you're really on a budget you can bring sandwiches along for lunch wherever you're visiting. Hostels are *not* strictly "youth", although there are a few that prioritize younger people when taking reservations. As you say, if all you need is a place to sleep, why spend more than you have to on a bed? And because hostels welcome world travelers, if you do hang out you can meet people from all over the world. :-)
I think this one is the best value resort. If I go to Disney I want Disney theme things. The music and sports ones don’t feel Disney to me at all. Yes this one is cheesy but it’s so charming.

I really appreciate how detailed this resort tour is. Quincy really showed what it would be like to stay here as part of a Disney vacation. Showing the transportation to MK is something I've never seen in a UA-cam resort tour. Good job , Quincy, with your first solo video.

Thanks for doing this staycation. You are the first to actually show how the bus situation is and what it looks like for waits. I would love to see more of this in the future espeically when it is busier like summer or weekends to get actual time ideas.
We leave early in the morning and come back late. Can’t see spending a lot extra money for a bed. They still have the touch of Disney. Your right.. everyone needs to decide for themselves what they want and need. Thanks for sharing your experience at this resort!!
Am I the only one that thinks there should be a whole series of Quincy detailed resort tour videos, showing all the different hotels around WDW? I think that would be superb.
This was unique in how she showed, and taught, check in, magic band info, and how to get onto the bus, what "used to" happen when you got off magical express (RIP), and what the shop looks like from the perspective of someone actually there for it and not just repeating or showing what the website shows. Remember people who have never been want to know how this works. It would also be great to "see" things like bookings, popcorn info, cup refills. I am so visual. Other channels just showed the rooms and theme, such a waste of time. This video was long but it actually provided the details I want with footage of what that actually looks like. Respect on the style of this video, very unique. I love all the new videos Molly and her do, very helpful.
How can you buy a DVC stay when not in DVC? I have been but one thing I would have liked was a drive videos around the area both from hotel to hotel on property and maybe a walk around Disney Springs from the parking structure.
I’m staying at the Movies resort when I go in August. Stayed at the music resort last time so I’m happy we’re doing the movies resort this time. Love the themeing and it still feels fancy to a simpleton like me.

Great job Quincy! I have stayed at All Star Music before, it was perfect for what I needed...a bed and a shower. I do think paying extra a preferred room is worth it. Our room was right by the main pool but I didn't find it to be too noisy. Keep up the great work Quincy! 😀

LOL Also, I'm glad Quincy did a mini experiment with how long it took to get to Magic Kingdom. I'd like to see this experiment extended to other resorts going to the parks that way it's easier for viewers to plan ahead of their vacation! It'd be better than looking up how long it takes and all that! LOL
Loved the review Quincy! This is my favorite value resort. I'm so glad they've updated the rooms from full size beds to queens. Seriously, so happy they changed that fact alone! I'd personally love to see a review from each level of your favorite from that level resort. And maybe something off property as well.
I adore Molly and her videos but it’s been really great meeting/seeing all of the other team members. Hopefully we keep getting occasional videos with them in the future!

If you're in the Mighty Ducks section, it's much closer to use the bus stop next door at All-Star Music. Same for food... Melody Hall was closer than Cinema Hall. As for the rooms, the refresh was lovely, everything felt bright and clean. However, the floor is HARD. I mean brutally hard. It's not laminate. It's vinyl over concrete. So after a long day at the park, it was almost punishing to walk on that floor. It's also tough first thing in the morning when you're getting off those high beds. So I would caution anyone with joint issues, or the elderly to think twice about these rooms. At least bring your cushiest slippers!
Movies was always the best of the All-Stars. We normally stay in PC, but now the rooms are very similar. Nice upgrades. Looks clean. (When $$ allows we also enjoy FQ)

Since so many of Stacy’s “must do’s” (like fast passes) are not currently available, Disney stopped running her continuous show. I’ll bet she makes a reappearance when things normalize a bit more! And you can always watch on UA-cam! ♥️

This is the hotel we stayed at when my school went and it’s so wild seeing what the lobby looks like since we arrived at midnight and stayed kn the bus while our teacher got everything. 😅
All-Star Movies was where we stayed in my second visit to WDW, back in the early 2000s! It has a special place in my heart, as a big movie buff. Not sure EXACTLY which section we stayed in. I THINK it was the Mighty Ducks...or was it the Toy Story one? I remember both. But then, with the Toy Story part being near Cinema Hall, PROBABLY Mighty Ducks. 😂
This room looks a lot like the Pop Century room we stayed in February 2020, but you can tell that they are smaller when you look at the space between the two beds. Pop Century was a good size for my friend and I to have a girls trip, but I think the room would have been small for a family of four.
When Quincy eats the cupcake, the song in the background is from toy story 2 is when woody is getting refurbished by the old man al calls and I feel it work’s perfect here. Also, yea I jump on a bed for science.
It was "Must Do Disney with Stacy". My daughter was mesmerized by her and asked us to lookout for her when we were in the parks. I truly believe she would have ditched any Disney character to meet Stacy. Boy that brought back memories.
Thanks for the honest review. It is sad though that the food has gone so far downhill that the best part of dinner was the cupcake. Your honest review has solidified why I will postpone my trip this November if needed if things are not returning to normal as far as food goes as that is a huge part of my Disney Experience.

I love this resort, I've stayed at the Movies 3 times and the Sports one time. I'm hoping to get back to Disney World sometime in the next 2 years and I'll be staying at the Movies again. But I can't believe Stacy has gone, I was last there in 2013 and I woke up everyday to the Must Do's!!

I went with my school and I loved it, it was very cute and the room was so nice.

43:15 It's a pretty quick ride if you get one of the charter buses. Disney Transport buses are really slow, only 40 mph max speed.

We will be driving. Would you suggest taking the bus to the theme parks or just driving the car and parking. If the later, is parking free at the parks?
