I have one outside in Melbourne and I’m going to try keep it in beyond winter. Thank you!

I have two Chysis. One is aurea and the other is Limminghei. The Aurea is in bloom and the Limminghei was a seeding. I hope next year to get blooms. I grow in my grow space and back patio. All plants are inside with temps getting below freezing at night here.

I have gotten all of my orchids at first anyway from a cousin who didn't want them or couldn't have them anymore or something anyway.. and then I bought a few and I bought a few more but I'm out of room now so I have to quit😂

I'm just curious in how long the blooms lasted. There s little information about it. Thanks

Mine are still going strong - three weeks and not looking tired so I'd imagine at least a month.

I don't think that is bractescens, I would say that is actually the naturally occurring hybrid chelsonii (bractescens x laevis). In blooms, bractescens should show no color on the petals or sepals.

Hi, this is not a bractescens this is aurea in my opinion. I'm growing 3 types chysis. try to give it more water in the winter. all the best...
