No hybrid 12's to report for 2016. Hell, their score would've actually gone way down, as the televote really didn't care for it. This is, in fact, a common theme: if the juries had their way, Malta would have made it to the final every single year they had the ability to determine who qualifies from a semi-final (save for 2008). There have only been three times that the jury and televote both agreed that Malta should qualify.

Wow, Malta really benefited in the 90s because it was one of the few countries that sang in English regularly as an official language.

Well, the only entries I feel were overrated are 1993, 1994 and 1998. Though a point of note is that in 1993, the highest Malta got was 2x 7s (from Italy and Switzerland).

actually belarus gave 12 to them in the jury voting 2019 but in the voting procedure they gave it to israel because belarus accidentally mixed it up.
