The brave person here is not the driver, but the passenger... Well, seeing that he try to talk all the time, not realizing that it is not the time to distract the driver at such speeds, i must take it back and say that he just have no idea how dangerous this really is... ;) Excellent video, as always.

Ladiesman101 A regular 458 with street tires can do 7:30, even the Sportauto journalist did a 7:32 full lap like 2 years ago. Speciale is considerably faster around shorter tracks, so it could definitely be at least 15 seconds per lap faster than a regular 458 at Nurburgring. It just depends who's driving. This guy can drive really good, but in this video he still didn't push to the limit. I mean, just in the first minute of the video, with the powersliding and really easy and early braking into corners he lost about 5 seconds of time. In general he's being very smooth and careful, not aggressive at all with braking and corner entry. He could gain some time on pretty much every braking point and every corner on the track. This car can easily do 7:20 with this driver and no passenger. But he can't drive as fast as a test driver that has had the chance to do thousands of laps in a car and can push it to absolute limit. For example, driven by such a driver, the GT-R can do 7:20 on the Nurburgring, yet, on a 3 km long track, the 458 Speciale is almost 3.5 seconds per lap faster than a 2015 GT-R, when driven by the same driver. I would not be surprised if the Speciale could do under 7:10 with a driver who can really push it to absolute limit.
It's going to be beautiful, fast, powerful the 488 GTB, but, the sound of this latest naturally aspirated Ferrari V8 engine, it is simply the apotheosis

Drop the passenger, push hard, brake late and don't powerslide. I noticed you weren't flat out in some points that you could have been faster. I believe you can even hit 7:15 and a professional test driver would be even faster.

What if.. swap Speciale for LaFerrari.. and go for a full mindblowing lap again.. and record it.. and lets say, accidently show it to us - everybody.. so we could compare... never mind - just sayin :P

Ronny Leeway especiales has no official record as the 488 here clearly you can see that specialize can cut few secs if gets pro driven like the 488....
