Cracking video mate not something I’m looking at doing but do like to watch the progress on yours, feel your pain with the ford bolts! I’ve had loads on mine like that soft as warm toffee bloody blu-Tack would be stronger, looking forward to seeing what’s coming up, congratulations on another subs milestone, inevitable to keep growing with the content you’re putting out
Thanks Paul I really appreciate it mate and I know I wish they used better metal on the shells too we’d be able to maintain and preserve them a lot better haha
Nice vid Ted but you do make me laugh with your swearing 🤣🤣 I love it!! Your vids my friend are just ace!! Keep it up and congratulations on the subscriber numbers 👏 👍
Nice vid, keep them coming :) gotta say i'm not sure about plastic for this job. I'm half way building an ST150 NA race car - engine arrives next week .... to get rear camber we milled the axle spacers so they're standard width at the bottom and thinner at the top. We have 3 different sizes. To change camber angles for a particular track, we just change the spacers +/- EZ ;) to get adjustable front camber, we welded rose joints into the wishbones.
Thanks mate much appreciated and No I wasn’t either as its a lot to juggle when fitting and I’m sure with heat transfer on a track you could risk them melting and what sort of money would you charge for the machined ones as I’d be definitely interested as it’d be a much cleaner setup than what I’ve got now I’m just after 20mm with -1.5 degrees and have you got any photos of the wishbones? That you could send me on Facebook/Instagram
My no is 07948 410119 - I’ll whatsapp you some pics. I’ve got the original 20mm spacer that we milled 1.5mm off. It’s too wide for my rims/tyres, I need to look for the other spacer 😩 To get -1.5 degree we’d need to mill it again cos it’s closer to 3.5. It was a test :) Message me & I’ll share stuff with you. Cheers. Pete
Awesome upgrade. When you do the rust repair on the archers. You when do the area around the spring tops and chassic. As in the video the area looks rusty. By the exhaust.
She’s a bit crusty underneath must admit going to send it off and let someone else do it I have too many projects needing that job plus if anything went wrong I can throw it back at them
😂😂…no claret is a good thing T …lookin tidy there pal 😎😎 , u’ll av to let me know how u get on with the handling , and tyre wear , see if made much difference..🤔…another top vid 👍👍
Definitely 😂😂 and thanks mate from first impressions it feels a lot more planted the rear would always feel a bit skippy and loose even when you’re not really going for it but now is quite nice will have to put it through it’s paces at some point and see how it goes
did you do a before and after pic? be cool to see a side by side. so are those grey plastic things slightly thicker on one side more than the other which is what achieves the camber?
I’ll have to dig some photos out as I kicked myself after as I forgot to film the before and yeah mate bang on they’re tapered so gradually get thicker then thinner
@@6uiltdifferent ah, just realised I can take the spring and shock out easily. Will do that. Yeah they're so rusted that I don't know what size they are. Put a 15 on and it fit, then the rust fell off and turns out it's a 13 🤣
hey man, great video! i read that you’ll gain about 1,5° of camber with the shims.. can they be stacked to get more camber as i probably need more on my car? cheers
@@0luc83 unfortunately it all depends on what size spacers you’re running (if you’re running them) along side the shims if you’re not running axle spacers then I reckon the original bolts would be fine
@@6uiltdifferent Thank you for the reply, saw it a bit late :D I'm running 5mm spacers and am planning to stack 2 on each side for a little more camber, do the shims come in a pack of 2 or will I have to order 4 total? Thank you :p
@@0luc83 they come in a pack of 2 just be careful as it can knock the toe out and give you more issues so just get the car tracked after and make sure the toes still in check otherwise you’ll be munching through tyres like I did haha
yes mate was proper caliper paint the worst stuff ive ever used took a week to dry so water probably got under it as i did it in the winter and i wont lie my prep work was poor too which didnt help
@@6uiltdifferent oh okay, I haven't even used heat proof on mine so I guess I'll be redoing them before they go on the car lol any recommendations for good paint?

7:00 any tips for getting these bolts off? I can't heat them because the sensor wire is too close
Make sure the socket is on fully spray it with wd40 and send it mate no other way

How is your tyre wear? Mine sits about the same. I have 18" rims and 215 tyres. The inside of my tyre wears out like crazy.
Mine isn’t too bad to be fair can’t complain once the tyres are shot it’s a different story they just get destroyed

That caliper paint doesn’t look to have held up very well consisting it wasn’t that long ago you painted them :/

I had motip brake paint and seems to have done a good job!
