We sold the truck to my son-in-law three years ago. I happily would scratch on the points if the truck were on my property any longer. And by the way that's something that I did more than once. It was a great truck, great steel, a rotten bed, but a bulletproof engine and an exhaust manifold that you could not find for love or money. So ask me about welding cast-iron.
David, long story spanning the last couple of years. Short version is it over in eastern Washington near Spokane with our son, who wants to put a Cummins diesel in it, but has way too many other projects first in line. So it's still gone to a good home, it's still in the family, but it's going to be a few years. Short answer to your question is "yes, it's good steel" and thank you very much for subscribing and watching the videos
David, my sincere apologies for not replying. Apparently, I still don't understand the technology. That truck has been moved from Western Washington to eastern Washington, and will ultimately be rebuilt with a Cummins diesel by our son. He is however busy raising a family and holding down the kind of job that travels a lot. I think you are however right and it was a 262. Thanks so much for watching the videos.
Well I know this is an old video but just checking you want to get rid of that old Ford rusted thing let me know that's the year I was born I'm looking for an old Ford like that thank you
Joel, my apologies for not replying until now. It seems I'm checking my comments less and less these days. The year you were born, that's a common desire for us Car guys. That's prevalent in my world too. I'll let you know if I find one of the year that you were born, and thanks for watching my videos.
Love that truck.
Not nearly as much as we love that truck. Thanks for watching the videos Mark.

Wow !
Not much rust considering age and just normal paint. Maybe good steel?

That is a sacrilege brother putting a diesel engine in a truck from the 60s!
@ringokidd387 you'll have to talk to my stepson about that since he now owns it. Thanks for watching the videos.
Could be a 262?
