I've listened to a lot of white rabbit covers and this is definitely one of my top favorites musically and mostly because of this womans vocals! Great job!
Some very talented people here. Yet I can’t get past the karaoke nature of these videos that just want to recreate the original recording as close as they can. It’s really just copying. Why listen to a copy that doesn’t try to do anything original? One can do a cover using ones own style and make it yours!
Having also seen Grace and the Airplane perform this many times, I wouldn't say she matches Grace, but is as good as anyone else I've heard. Very well done!
Which did you lose first, your hearing or your mind? To me, the man and woman sitting on either side of the singer are showing about the appropriate level of enthusiasm.
Only thing differing from the original i think is the volume she is putting out is a bit more even and relaxed than the original where it was much more variable and forced up where lyrics needed emphasis
Not bad, actually a very good Grace Slick impression. This song is short and comes right at you, there are no instrumental bridge sections, which other bands try to add in their versions, the punch-charm is that the vocals build all the way through the song, no breaks. It takes a really good vocalist to both imitate Grace's voice style and sing it without more than a breath in between lines.
Jefferson Airplane was one of my early rock favorites. I'm not usually a fan of covers, especially of Grace Slick, but this was really, really good. The vocals were great. I had to wonder though, what was the blond so stone faced/bored about?
Well I’ve seen a few people attempt to recreate Grace Slick’s performance and this singer is the best yet. For the first time I really really enjoyed a cover version. Thanks
Sounds great, but Grace had the experiences to back up the lyrics, and you could hear it. Not sure this girl has swallowed any pills stronger than a Tylenol lol
It looks like one of those gigs where the pub brings a band in to entertain customers but the band fills the room and outnumbers the customers. This is a FAB rendition and they have to be congratulated for not making the mistake of many bands who amp the instruments and drown out the singer.
This song was excellently written and performed by Jefferson Airplane. But this rendition was tremendous and it brings thoughts of so many things done in years gone by.. But what was truly interesting is seeing no emotions from others in the hand for such an emotional song
Phantastisch, die Kaffehaus-Atmosphäre und darin der pulsierende Song aus dem Wunderland, aus dem auch diese wahnsinnig starke Stimme zu kommen scheint, tolles Stück!
The entire band did a great job, and the vocalist has a beautiful voice and sounds wonderful. But i was absolutely mesmerized by the beauty of the young lady beside her.
She messed up the lyrics! Here are the CORRECT words... One pill makes you larger And one pill makes you small And the ones that mother gives you Don't do anything at all Go ask Alice When she's ten feet tall And if you go chasing rabbits And you know you're going to fall Tell 'em a hookah-smoking caterpillar Has given you the call Call Alice When she was just small
At itself a nixw voice. But she comes no where the orinal. Why? She sings it in a melodious way like a smooth stream. It totally lacks the witheld passion and energy building up to a raw cry of passion of the original Artist Grace Slick. There is no magic created, no urge to shiver in waiting for the next revealing sentence. No invitation to let your feelings get cartied away by the passion and tension of the voice.
Awesome cover very well done, but in my opinion, only like all the excellent well-performed covers, it lacks the visceral soul Grace brought to the table.
Vocalist was great, and the bassist & guitars were good too. Not sure what most of the rest of them were there for, especially the morose chick on her right and the expressionless dude on her left....
Wow. Really great. For some reason I didn't much like where this was going at the beginning and then the vocals came in and it all blended together so well. Kudos for a job well done.
Legit. And a vocalist is pure pro … she ensures flipping the lyric when they miss a line to correct it on a second stanza. Beautiful. Best cover rendition ever.
Very cool. Love this song. Nice rendition fairly true to the original despite being acoustic. The Hunt does a good version of this that is somewhat rockier. I like both. 😀
Oh my gosh well this is a very beautiful cover of this song and I don’t know where Alice is personally but I do believe in Wonderland and I love the works of Louis Carroll, including of course, the Mad Gardner’ song. My late father used to read me that book as a child, and I actually used that as a tonal poem in one of my albums but here’s the chance the Gardner. Oh yes, I remember very fondly watching many of the movies, including the final film that I guess Peter Sellers was starring and well I would like to thank chance the gardener. I wonder where he is these days? Well, perhaps I can contact him when I get a chance. I do particularly love some of the movies that he has produced including that brilliant documentary magical Egypt that I’ve been enjoying basically all summer long. They also have one on the great work and I’m quite interested in getting that one as well. Now when it comes to pills personally, I was put on Haldol a ridiculously Stone Age medicine back when I was like 16 or something I never really took any Adderall for my PTSD, but I have found that the master cannabinoid. What is it called again? Well, it’s not the more sleepy one, but it does tend to give me a laser light. Focus well laser light focus it helps me to focus my mind. I’m trying to think of what they call that exactly but yeah I’m a little tired right now this month I’m gonna be taking it easy never really got strung out. I never did heroin or anything like that and I respect Trey Anastasio very much and I’m hoping that maybe I can hang out with him someday because I think there’s some parallels there. I remember going to Mann Music center way back and yeah I got a free concert ticket. Well fast forward to how many years later but I went to see them in Denver a few years ago prior to Covid and I was sad that I heard that the prairie dogs had the plague sad things so we didn’t hang out in the parking lot very much. But yeah, I was hanging out in my alma mater location there in Boulder of course and I did have to go in for a tooth extraction early in the morning and my friend took me all over there. The dentist was great and they fixed my teeth it was wonderful but they gave me. I guess a bottle of prescription opiates of some sort like maybe they were Percocet or something And out of respect for some of the people that I’ve known that have died from opioid addiction and also to keep it out of the hands of the homeless people there I did take the entire bottle after the Phish concert and throw it right into a metal dumpster that no one could get into. Which I was doing out of respect for many of the people that I know who have died of hard drug addiction. But normally after a dental surgery I use was whiskey, Irish medicine, basically and occasionally I will take some Advil, or perhaps Bayer aspirin if I need it. So yes, I do understand recovery very well and I think I’m a pretty good social counselor to help people out and does take some type of gentleness to approach people who are choosing to maybe use drugs or have mental illness and I think it’s gonna be a huge social solution if we have the right approach to helping people get off of drugs if they wish to, and if they don’t wish to I don’t know what to do about that: but yeah, I respect recovery a lot and I know that officers and ambulance drivers and the rest have to deal with these people often and I know it can be difficult where I live. I’ve seen some people on drugs recently, and one of them tragically got arrested, not by me, of course, but there was another man who is clearly strung out on heroin and they’re all homeless people basically and I don’t know how much help I can give them clinically although I do have compassion for them and I feel by setting a good example for others that that’s something that helps people a lot.
Excellent cover, great vocals, for another great cover find Pink's Version with fantastic arrangement. This arrangement is minimalistic, but VERY effective.
I think part of the reason this singer did so well is perhaps she is not a native English speaker, and she was able to mimic the recording of Grace Slicks masterpiece without being bothered by the strange lyrics, odd tone and off beat cadence of the vocal called for in White Rabbit. It's all unnatural but if you learned by pure mimicry of the recording, that's not a hinderance. 2cents
Why are people using the word "rendition" or "version" in reference to Grace Slick?!! She was the original singer, so she doesn't have a "version" or a "rendition"! Regards, Andy, Annmarie's husband
This is absolutely hands down the ONLY worthy cover of white rabbits that I’ve found so far. The vocalist that’s singing is beyond powerful and it seems like it’s effortless. Does anyone know the singers name?
The other girl is like...what am I even doing here?
she's sad, cause she' s not singing
Her and that one dude look all forlorn.
Jealousy is a horrible spirit.
I've listened to a lot of white rabbit covers and this is definitely one of my top favorites musically and mostly because of this womans vocals! Great job!
The vocalist is great. It's not easy to nail the vocals of such a special song. ❤
Nails it.
I can’t understand how the either person on the side of the singer are just unmoved. Everyone else feels the groove, they seem annoyed.
@@clintbuddy3248 do you know how many times you have to hear a song to get to the point that you can perform it so well?
She doesn't.
Loved
I am not always a huge fan of cover of iconic songs, but in this instance, you all did a great job.
Beautifully done and kudos to all of you!
How are the 2 people on either side of the singer so stoic? Everyone one else seems to be in the groove.
What a bunch of talent in that room. Plus i love the arraingement
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Some very talented people here. Yet I can’t get past the karaoke nature of these videos that just want to recreate the original recording as close as they can. It’s really just copying. Why listen to a copy that doesn’t try to do anything original? One can do a cover using ones own style and make it yours!
Jesus, this is so damn cool. She is killing it
Absolutely!!
Having witnessed this performed by Grace herself, I have never heard anyone match her, until now. Absolutely amazing young lady.
Having also seen Grace and the Airplane perform this many times, I wouldn't say she matches Grace, but is as good as anyone else I've heard. Very well done!
Agreed.
Are you deaf? Her enunciation is inadequate.
Which did you lose first, your hearing or your mind? To me, the man and woman sitting on either side of the singer are showing about the appropriate level of enthusiasm.
Amen
Great unplugged performance. She has a beautiful voice
But if they have such a scenario, I would like to hear what she sang then and there and not this dubbed artificial sound.
Amazing Voice and great work on the instruments!
The young lady in the light coat doesn't look happy with nothing to do.
Damn amazing, blew my head off. What a great band. Wonderful vocals & what a stunningly beautiful woman❤️
Awesome!! This young lady even has a similar vibrato in her voice to Grace's Beautiful rendition.
Only thing differing from the original i think is the volume she is putting out is a bit more even and relaxed than the original where it was much more variable and forced up where lyrics needed emphasis
Not bad, actually a very good Grace Slick impression. It takes a really good vocalist to both imitate Grace's voice style and sing it without more than a breath in between lines.
Such a powerful, resonate voice! Great vocals! Musicians nailed it!
Thanks
Not to bad, not close to Grace Slick though
What an absolutely wonderful performance!
Sounds great, but Grace had the experiences to back up the lyrics, and you could hear it. Not sure this girl has swallowed any pills stronger than a Tylenol lol
Wow, they did a great job!!!
About halfway into the song - I did a Thumbs UP.!!! Great Job.!!!
What a pleasure to hear a vocalist who can perform this song nearly as well as Grace Slick's version. Brava!!!
It looks like one of those gigs where the pub brings a band in to entertain customers but the band fills the room and outnumbers the customers. This is a FAB rendition and they have to be congratulated for not making the mistake of many bands who amp the instruments and drown out the singer.
Psychedelic baby!
One of the best performances i have heard....Great talent and the singing is spot on. Respect. It's not one of the simplest songs to sing.
best cover song i have come across and powerful.
I've seen Jefferson Airplane a few times in my life and You Did this Justice. By The Way, I just Subscribed Too.✌
Strident, is how I describe Grace Slick's voice. A tune of the era. Nice rendition.
This song was excellently written and performed by Jefferson Airplane. But this rendition was tremendous and it brings thoughts of so many things done in years gone by..
But what was truly interesting is seeing no emotions from others in the hand for such an emotional song
It was written by Grace Slick while in the Great Society, not the Airplane.
@@kensolar69 thanks for the clarification.
The other lady deserves credit too.
Not to mention the guy on the side of her.
Phantastisch, die Kaffehaus-Atmosphäre und darin der pulsierende Song aus dem Wunderland, aus dem auch diese wahnsinnig starke Stimme zu kommen scheint, tolles Stück!
This Girl Nailed it. Absolutely beautiful Woman. What a voice !!
That is a song from 1966 that will be around forever.
Agree.
Jesus Christ... Shivers down my spine ❤️❤️❤️
Wonderful voice !!! Who are you Airplanian Princess ? ❤ I saw other videos, good band !!!
Jean-Philippe S
This song is a litmus test for great female vocalists. Great job! A master class performance.
Well done👍. Loved it☺️. Pretty sure Grace would too❤️
Wow! Is that your actual voice? That's so wild. I'm stunned. Amazing job.
What an interesting version of that psychedelic rock Classic !!! Love it. 🎸 🎼 🎤
Can't get enough of this. This girl rocks!
she is awesome indeed a perfect cover . i would only like to know if she has a you tube channel .
Oh that's just beautifully done. I thoroughly enjoyed that
beautiful !!! love that song… u did a great job of it….
The entire band did a great job, and the vocalist has a beautiful voice and sounds wonderful. But i was absolutely mesmerized by the beauty of the young lady beside her.
She messed up the lyrics!
Here are the CORRECT words...
One pill makes you larger
And one pill makes you small
And the ones that mother gives you
Don't do anything at all
Go ask Alice
When she's ten feet tall
And if you go chasing rabbits
And you know you're going to fall
Tell 'em a hookah-smoking caterpillar
Has given you the call
Call Alice
When she was just small
Great cover! But the girl sitting there pouting kind of takes away from the other girls performance. shame
The band is brilliant. Very accurate, very smooth, and so powerful yet !
Sounds great. Now I just need a tab of purple microdot, to complete the journey through time.
Seriously, I cannot find her name. Not even sure the name of the band. Ladytron? Anyone know?
Girl with the Red hair sits there and play for frozen Zombie, but nice piece of music !
Grace is awesome! This was really darn good! Right there with the original.
Vocalist was great, and the bassist & guitars were good too. Not sure what most of the rest of them were there for, especially the morose chick on her right and the expressionless dude on her left....
Disagree, don’t think the vocalist quite got the mood or eeriness of the song. Too rocky/poppy and smiley
I remember the original and I really, really enjoyed this, thank you!
Enjoyed instrumental. Vocal was good. Not grace but I loved it. Listened all the way through. Good job.
Not quite Grace.... but not bad either!! Good, strong effort ! I'll listen to more, please. ; )
Wow. Really great. For some reason I didn't much like where this was going at the beginning and then the vocals came in and it all blended together so well. Kudos for a job well done.
She nailed it. I'm not a fan of most live performances because they usually... Ok they usually just suck but she absolutely nailed it.
What a "slick" version...........awesome cover...
This cover is great, but it still can't hold a candle to Grace Slick's original.
i am usually not into covers, but this 1, WOW, very nicely done
Outstanding!
Legit. And a vocalist is pure pro … she ensures flipping the lyric when they miss a line to correct it on a second stanza. Beautiful. Best cover rendition ever.
What a superb performance. And as someone said, the voice is so very similar to Grace Slick's.
You're high
Not bad but that's absolutely nothing like grace....you might possibly be tone deaf
Very cool. Love this song. Nice rendition fairly true to the original despite being acoustic. The Hunt does a good version of this that is somewhat rockier. I like both. 😀

By the way, I did not take Haldol for very long. Clearly. It wasn’t the right prescription for me.
Excellent job! Great vocals I’m a fan
Musically awesome, the young ladies voice was ok.....little young for this tune.IMHO.
Awesome! Grace Slick would be proud.
Great voice. Obviously, not everyone is feeling the vibe. Strange. Jealously?
She was off the white rabbit during this performance...
Nice Cover - well done everyone - that looked like you were all having fun
Is she really singing, or lip-syncing? The microphone is so far from her mouth. Sounds more like autotune.
That was absolutely perfect ! 😊
very good cover - great singing and playing
I really like that singer.
Really nice. Smooth silky voice.
Cool; chills (I’m 71).
That was really cool! She was great!
wtf! is this some group therapy?
Truly amazing replay
I'm sure everyone noticed the lyric flip, but still amazing.
Which Lyric
Wow indeed! Great job!!!
Brilliant young singer!!!
she is amazing

She swapped when she´s 10 feet tall … and when she’s just so small ! 😅…
Blooper aside , one of the best voice for this iconic song … Grace level !

That’s an eclectic bunch.
Very good performance of a timeless song.
that was absolutly incredible
Stand up when you sing
The men on the chessboard will get up and tell you where to go!
The red Knight is talking backwards and the white Queen is "Off, with your head"!
That was a GREAT cover!
