Yeah I think they concentrated too much on perfecting the things we dont use much that they did lag back on some of the main camera functions like the 5x optical zoom is awesome but that means they lost 2x optical zoom and people are probably going to spend more time taking close up pictures than zoomed in pictures

Funny that, in the test with iPhone and p30, the Note 10 sounded a bit thin compared to the iPhone ,more Pixel-esque. Possibly due to the new focus system. p30 was still rubbish with mic quality
@@marionheeringa953 Because of image processing and also huawei uses pixel binning (combining 4 pixels into 1) and Samsung does not (not yet anyway). This means that the P30 benefits more from higher pixel sensors. So while the image taken uses 40MP the image itself will only be 10MP (Divide MP by 4 (for quad bayer filtering) and you get the actual MP amount). Since Samsung isn't using the pixel binning technique this means that it's actually 12MP vs pixel binned 10MP. So while you prefer the Samsung images, you can clearly see the benefits of pixel binning on the P30 with the greatly reduced noise. Another reason for your preference might be the difference in sensors. The Samsung sensor might be a higher quality one (better dymamic range). Though this is pure speculation as I have no info on the sensors in question.

I think those blown out images by P30 PRO on daytime is because the camera was made literally for Nigh time only, so in default the captured images is always getting a boost of brightness. and on the other device NOTE 10 is balanced well.

It's probably due to missing a 3rd lens and night mode. In the other areas it is as good or even surpasses these phones in certain areas. Will be interesting to compare the New Note 10 with the new phones from Huawei and Apple. Currently can only compare with older releases :)
I actually like that there's no PERFECT camera on the market and your choice depends on what are you looking for. If you are more into Wide pictures and stabilization for videos, go for one... If you are more into zoom or pictures at Night, go for the other... It all dependes on the user.
live focus video for myself is a big no, if it isn't perfect with edge detection it just ain't worth it. in terms of colors, the note 10 a bit to vibrant with greens

$900 vs $600. The Note 10+ is 50% more expensive than the P30 Pro. I would have expected the Samsung camera to win by greater margins and to win in every category. Props to Huawei for what it has done at that price range. Plus if you want to see another (quite thorough) review that gives the win to the P30, google DXOMark P30 ranking.

Unlike the p30 pro's where u have to sacrifice natural colors for better night time shots. The ultrawide camera is also better on the Note 10+. Just like the exposure, hdr, video and microphone quality. Id rather have sharper, more natural, better exposed and overall better pictures than the 5000 times zoom and the better night shots. Because do u really need this in everyday life?

It wasn't even close. The Note's camera is better. It is overall more versitile and complete even with smaller sensors. It just has godly software.
