This makes more sense to me than anything I’ve heard for experienced golfers! I tried these tips yesterday and shot the best score in months! Thanks from Georgetown TX
Hi Todd. I love your emphasis on the senior golfer. I think this VLS has great merit and I am going to try to incorporate it into my swing.
Going to try this new stance for old golfers at my next practice session. Have tried the more vertical swing but am still working on it.
Awesome! Be sure to let us know how it goes. 👊
Hi Todd. Great instruction. It connects some of the dots for me ! I,m new here, and have almost given up on the game. Being from Canada, our season is into day 50. I have 24 holes and 2 buckets of range balls. Grooving my bad habits! I am very encouraged by your video, as I thought I was nowhere close to the top of a REAL golf swing! To see the pro golfers, with their left arms pointing streight up to the sky, and even further, made me feel like it was time to quit. Combined with the fact that my driving is so erratic, that I have,t kept score for over à year! My timing is gone ! Thank-you for letting me vent, I feel better !
Thank you! We are doing an entire series on the Vertical Line Swing for our experienced golfers. Hope you subscribed
I'm 85 and love your instructions! They are not too much info, but just right! They have helped me shoot my age twice in the last couple months. Thanks! Doug Rudholm
Wow! You are in a rare group to have shot your age. Congrats!! Appreciate the kinds words and sharing your story.
Great video the hip turn is everything for senior golfers the baseball drill look awesome will start using it today thanks, 73 and still swing 🏌️♂️
You got it. Other topics you would like to see us cover?
I recently discovered your instruction on the vertical line swing. As a senior golfer, like others distance , rotation , etc seem to evaporate. After watching your videos Today, I Had 14 pars and one birdie . Playing from the senior tees at 73 for several years I am not too bad but using your tips I have relearned to rotate and hit great shots. I was very pleased. You have the best method that I have seen in years. I am still working on the driver. I don’t quite have that down yet but the vertical line swing helped tremendously. Thanks so much and I am very pleased to have discovered your techniques! Thanks again Sam B. Knoxville Tennessee! “I recommend these for anyone over any of your competitors”. !!!!!! Thanks
Post of the day here! Thank you. Would you be interested in our membership site where you get access to more content and coaching?
Hey Todd, great video, thanks for the great vertical drill for mid 50's, something to practice this weekend.
You got it my friend! This is why we love golf, always ways to improve no matter our age. Thanks for posting 👊
Hi Todd, Thanks for sharing the idea of not restricting your hip turn using the method. I am 50 years old and I cut 6 strokes just following this concept. I like the idea of pre-setting your hips this is gold in maximizing your turn. The right-field turn helps me turn and control my swing.
Your post made our day...thank you! The proper hip turn and letting the trail leg release slightly has helped many of our students...it is a gem. If you would like more on the Vertical Line Swing, check out the book version. Here is the Amazon link if you are interested www.badliegolfbook.com/
Hi Todd , I was at an indoor range recently and found out my club face has been open at impact. After googling how to fix this I found your video . Makes great sense. Tye takeaway with the logo as a guide I gave done but your video helped me understand way better. I watched your VLS info. Played today , last day the course I play will be open for the year. 34 degrees Wind chill 28. Using the VLS , the best contact and getting through the swing and follow through I’ve had all year . Being 61. GHIN 7.5 and a bad lower back, this swing felt effortless and little strain on my back. Thank you looking forward to next season
This is fantastic! Our team is here to help make this challenging game easier to understand and help improve your game. 👊
I don,t usuallywatch golf videos except for the instructors who are showing tips for the "aged". I have followed Jim Venetos with his closed stance but now I think I have found the solution to a few problems with that swing. This swing I find much easier to apply and have had some good results from it.Simple set-up and simple vertical swing - so easy. Thanks Todd.
Appreciate the kind words Bob. Here is another great resource if you enjoy reading and learning www.badliegolfbook.com/
Love the vertical line swing for older golfers and everyone else. In addition to all the advantages you mention in this video, the vertical line swing will also eliminate the slice for golfers of every age. More videos on vertical line swing please!!
You got it! We have an entire training system built out for the Vertical Line Swing.
Where do I find it?

Not only will you gain speed with the feet offset like that but you will hit a draw rather than a slice. Another great benefit in my book. Great advice 👍🏻🇦🇺
Great video and learning step by step
Thank you...
Love your golf instruction i am now 77 and i need more instruction on senior golfers thank you Todd hope to hear back

Good to hear. The system has helped thousands of golfers already. Let us know how it goes. 👊
Will give it a try tomorrow, very interesting/informative
Be sure to let us know how it goes. 👊
Omg lol. That's my current backswing. Short as your video. I am always so quick and had no idea how to slow it down. Your tips and instruction is gold!!

Great Lessons, My handicap has dropped to 8 over the last 3 months but watching your lessons.
Thanks Terry! Are you on our email list also?
Loved seeing this on video. I’m reading ‘The Bad Lie’ now and this video helped me to better visualize the vertical line swing.
Awesome! Are you enjoying the book? If so, please give us a review on Amazon. Would be greatly appreciate!!

Hello Todd, so I had a vertical swing before, then I tried to go more horizontal, but a 58 years old, it's very difficult, you got me back to swinging vertical again, thanks for your video, I need to swing my age and you concepst are spot on. Thanks again!
Awesome! We can still play great golf at 58, you got this!
great info
Will take this to the next practice session. Anyways looking for technique that eases the stress on my slightly arthritic thumbs.

Great Program. Be well.
Thank you.
Thanks for the advice. I’m 70 years old and I needed this advice.

Outstanding
Thanks! If you want to learn more, check out our book THE BAD LIE which you can find on Amazon. We cover the entire system there.
Since I have been swinging three times before I strike the ball my game has improved. My swing tempo is much better. Thanks for your recommendation.
Robert, this is great news. We have found that the many times the simple the concepts, the better out students do. Thanks for posting! 👊
From Gainesville, GA. 53. Recovering from serious knee injury last year. This VLS is a god send. I was so frustrated earlier this year due to “feeling” like I had lost so much distance as well as finding it difficult to pivot like I used to. With VLS I’m actually back to where I I was and I’m confident that it’s just going to get better.
Thank you for sharing your story, this made our day! The VLS system is making the game fun again for so many golfers. Do you have our book where the entire system is covered? You can find it on Amazon by searching The Bad Lie
@@USGOLFTVshow yep! Just got it Wednesday!
Finally! Someone who really gets it, just swing the club with HIGH hands finish! Gonna try this, so simple!
You got it! No reason to over complicate the game. The Vertical Line Swing is based on good solid yet simple concepts. We do cover all this in our book THE BAD LIE if you are interested. The book can be found on Amazon.
I am currently 61, saw your video, went to range and tried both the flared foot & baseball swing drills. I couldn't believe the results, my irons, hybrids, FWs, plus slowing my swing down, made solid contact and distance!!! Plus my lower back wasn't sore after the session and even this morning. I will try this with my driver. Thank you,
Awesome! Thanks for sharing the story...more great content to come. Hope you subscribed
@@USGOLFTVshow Actually tried the flared foot swing and closed stance on a course Labor Day and actually shot one of my best rounds in awhile; 84, so your method works. My ball was flying very straight with added distance. Thanks again, and yes I subscribed.
I like this method so far, it is easier on my back with no loss of distance.
Great to hear the Vertical Line Swing is improving your game and keeping the back under control. Have you seen this video on the driver ua-cam.com/video/flPkrhHzOec/v-deo.htmlsi=6uhZNQ81xN-PSGtb

Did the information help?
I have been at the diving range today and I tried your vertical swing with fantastic results. Power, no slice, always remembering to rotate the hips in the backswing and most important thing to make a perfect finish. Can I flex a bit my lead arm in the backswing. Thanks a lot fo your wonderful video!
Let's go! Learning and making progress. Short answer to your question is yes, keep it extended but not straight. Did you see this recent video we did where I added 20+ yards to my own drives. It was solid ua-cam.com/video/wXlc5dkH5Ls/v-deo.htmlsi=rUX4nbQJ0aoGDIKp
Thank you for excellent instructional videos. I live in Oakvile (Toronto) and regularly play with other seniors. (I am 72.) I have recomended you as the preferred video instructor for seniors. Seniors cannot twist their bodies like younger golfers and need the different approaches you provide. I advise my friends to first view your most basic instructions as that will likely provide the biggest payoff.

Started using the vertical line swing. No more back pain.
Becky....great story. Thank you for sharing....we are getting read to launch our online/interactive Vertical Line Swing this fall. Are you on our email list?
I liked everything you showed in the beginning of this video. When you got to the end you blew my mind. I'm 73 and I started hitting with my right foot back of my left, almost identically as you showed it, about 6 months ago. When I play with new guys they sort of look at me cross-eyed, like what's this guy doing? I have had 5 procedures on my lower back and by fooling around I realized that by setting up this way, with a couple of small adjustments, I was able to hit the ball straight and a bit longer than I had in the past. Best of all, it was much easier on my back! Oh, even though you didn't show it I also set up that way with my driver. It works just fine.
Bill, post of the day here! So great to see you still playing and learning this great game at 73! Thanks for posting.
@@USGOLFTVshow Thank YOU for posting. I'm now a subscriber. After thinking about your vertical swing I realized that's what I do when I'm hitting my 7 irons and up. For some reason I try to flatten my swing a bit and turn more on my 4-6 clubs. Seems to work ok. Yeah, I'm an old amateur dude, but I still got a lot of golf left in me. I still shoot like when I was younger, high 80's to low 90's.
Great videos on driver for seniors! My biggest problem I am trying to correct is my takeaway? I have a issue taking the club back to fast! My thought process which has really improved is don't hit the ball until the lead shoulder is under chin. seems to give the little extra timing on downswing.
Your thoughts
Bud, Lynda, thanks for asking. Here is a deep dive on the takeaway ua-cam.com/video/z3XaHrMbZk0/v-deo.html
Vertical swing is great. I find myself going way over the top.
You do. I do all the time. Have to hit the ball in between all of that. Golf is hitting a ball. If you can't do that, then all the twisting in the world isn't going to help anything.
Allan Patrick. Forgot to tell you - using impact tape at the indoor range I found I was hitting it on the heel with the woods, the driver was hitting them all virtually on the hosel. Tried setting up with the toe at the ball and hit in the centre and MUCH more solid feel. Any idea why? The arms must be extending a little on the downswing.
Todd, would you recommend upright clubs for the VLS?
Great instruction. Do you recommend turning the front knee back in order to get a bigger turn?
Great question, yes we like that move for most players as it allows for more turn. 👊
Hello.
I just stumbled on to this video ....
Bought the book instantly.
So....i should swing to right field for all my swings?
Yes, the feeling of swinging to right field is good for most all players. Hope you enjoy the book and find it helpful to your game. Thanks for the support!
Todd. What do you think about Leadbettor’s A Swing? How does the A Swing differ from your vertical swing system? I enjoy your videos.
Not overly familiar with the A swing by Leadbetter other than to say he is a great coach. We just launched our system www.verticallinegolf.com/landing-page1620850340667
Hi do you pull the club straight back from the ball in the backswing?
Facts. My average scores were 50 - 60 for 9 holes. I had a heart attack and quit golf for 10 years. When I start back it was pure hell to hit every shot. Not perfect but to just hit the ball at all. I was ready to quit again the I went to you tube. I watched your tips on senior swing and then I tried it on the back 9. After 52 on the front 9 I was lost as usual. I tried a vertical swing yes it was easy to do. I hit the ball every time I said hit it evrey time. No not perfect but on in regulation is what I could not do. 42 on the back 9. I will go out tomorrow and try to do it again. thank you very much. Bob R.
Robert, post of the week! Great to see you back to playing and move importantly hopefully feeling well. The Vertical Line Swing is designed for golfers just like you. Glad you were able to find it helpful. Keep us posted 👊.
Hey Todd, thanks for that video for us senior 🏌️♀️. I am going to try this on Sunday and let you know how I get on..😉🏌️♀️
Marilyn, thank you! We have more great game improving information coming...stay tuned
Ok, I'm not going to try these tips till I'm well over 70, like next June. Okay, next week when I hit the golf dome.
I gotta say, they (tips) make a shit load of sense and looking forward to seeing the results!
Used to swing more upright when younger and then by practice found dropping the swing plane gave me more distance and control. Used to give myself a whisker burn on my left shoulder during practice and now I'm lucky to look over my elbow on the back swing! A more upright attack with stance as is will have me slicing the hell out of shots but that back foot well back should make a difference for sure. Damn I'm looking forward to trying this!
Dick, lots of experience in your post here...nice! Be sure to let us know how it goes...
Love this vertical preset hip turn - does result in more speed & distance. 👍🏼
You got it. Thanks for posting
Hi Todd, I am 60 years old, I hit my clubs now 15% longer than I did 10 years ago by trying to emulate Freddie couple's swing, when my buddies asked how do I hit them well and futher at my age I tried to find a golf instruction video illustrating that to share with them and I am so glad to come across your Verical Line Swing, becasue all the lessons I took over the last 40 years and most of the other golf vidoes teatch the opposite! great vidoe sir! One question; I tend to rotate the sholders 1st with arms tother untill the club is at toe line and parallel to the gound then I lift the arms (togeher) for a full swing, it works great for the driver and fairway woods, not very well for the long irons; any suggestions?
Henry, you are a student of the game my friend. Good stuff! On the irons feel less pressure/weight movement to the trail foot in the backswing. This will improve your contact. The Vertical Line Swing continues to improve games...
Hi Todd, Barrie from Brisbane Australia. Just purchased your "Bad Lie" book and also VLS video series. Really progressing well with these ... thanks. To get the vertical swing feeling, I seem to be progressing by 3 set drills with left arm only swings, with a club, but not hitting a ball, and making sure at arm parallel to ground that my left arm is on or outside my toe line, not behind it, both on back and forward swings. Does this make sense? Ta
Barrie, you are a good student and quick learner. Yes, the lead arm will feel like it is on our just outside the toe line early in the backswing. As the hips begin to turn allowing the the chest to turn, the lead arm and club will naturally start to work up and around. You are on track!
Hi Todd - I appreciate & enjoy your videos.
Can you clarify the “aim right” setup / swing? I understand that a line drawn across your toes will point right, but should I still be trying for a swing path that points toward target??
I have been playing with the concept in order to tame my slice, but as a 60 year old woman, I’m not too proud to blame my age for both slower slower swing speed, and my slice! 😁
Thanks for asking. Here are the keys, feel like your aim is slightly to the right (5-10 yard right of the target) yet the clubface is square to the target line. Now, once in that position, swing along your toe/aim line. This will give us the best opportunity to swing the club in to out with a square clubface which will produce a nice high draw. Hope that helps...be sure to subscribe as we have more Vertical Line Swing videos coming!
@@USGOLFTVshow light bulbs coming on…..OMG, I gotcha! I am looking forward to practicing & experimenting with this. Thanks again for your videos, and for the prompt response.
I am 73 and find your pointers of right foot and knee bend helping my hip rotation. What I am finding is when I lift the lead foot slightly as I weight transfer to the right it gives me added turn as well. My only thought in the forward swing is to plant the left heel first to initiate the hip rotation followed by a natural rotation of the upper body. If I can continue this movement for the next 10 to 15 years I will enjoy the game.👍🇨🇦👨🦳
Richard, you are spot on! Lifting the lead heal can help many golfers...it worked well for Mr. Nicklaus! Great post!
Love the vertical line swing for irons. Is there also one for fairway woods/hybrids and driver?

(Larry San Diego) I came across your channel and became subscriber. I am 75 year old, former Vietnam Paratrooper, and avid golfer. My backswing has been a point of confusion for years and this tip was something I tried at the range just today. I felt as if I was raising my body in an attempt to swing more vertically. Should I focus on just swinging my left arm back and upwards?
Thanks
Larry, thank you for your service! You and your fellow servicemen are the reason we have this great country. Grateful for you!! This is a good question, the vertical is for the lead arm not the body. Feel like your head is staying the same height yet the arm is working more straight back and up. Let us know how it goes.
Todd. Are you suggesting we play with the right foot back set up? Great instruction. Anthony (UK)
We like to see a slight closed stance to the target line with the feet for most our players. This promotes a more inside to out swing path.
Do you have a video on warming up /stretching before swinging the golf club for us more “experience “ golfers?
Not yet, but we will add it to the list. Great idea! Appreciate you sharing 👊
I have no side to side movement in my left foot and have a problem with putting much weight on it. Any ideas?
I have been trying to learn this vertical line swing, but I’m still hitting the ball either fat or thin. I’m guessing it’s too much leg action, but not sure. Really wish I lived near you to get some lessons. Any idea what I should try doing? Love how you simplify the game!

Todd I was wondering on your irons do u the keep the club head outside your hands when making a back swing. You have helped me so much with short index now 4.2. I tried that because of your video on how to hit a draw. Keep your hands inside the driver head. Mam does it work. Thanks for everything Todd iam telling the world about your site.

Mike, post of the week right here! Thanks for those kind words...it is a total team effort on our side and it is messages like yours that make our day. Let's keep working and get that hdcp. under 4 my friend. 🤜
Todd. What is the "correct" distance one must stand from the ball at address.? Great lessons , Thanks.
Great question Edwin, a good standard would be to have the hands "fall" below the shoulders at address. Here's a good video on ball position and distance from the ball to help: ua-cam.com/video/t0Dyp7qMa7s/v-deo.html
Sir, thanks for the lessons on the vertical line swing. I'm able to hit solid shots more often, but my miss occasionally is a pull, which seems to fly a little further. But ends up in bad places nevertheless. Can you help me prevent that?

Pat, great question. Make sure you have a solid hip turn and bump to the trail foot. We just launched our free webinar series on the Vertical Line Swing. Are you on our email list?
@@USGOLFTVshow hey, I enjoy your work. I live on SS and play at local Navy base due to cost. How is your vertical swing different from Serge M's (up the tree-down the tree). Thanks, 76yo John.

Yep, same holds true...are you a subscriber?
Have your vertical line program. Previously I was concentrating on keeping wt left. I want to use your "pressure shift to right. IS IT OK TO FEEL SLIGHT RISE IN LEFT HEEL AS PRESSURE SHIFTS RIGHT???
Yes, feeling a slight rise of the lead foot heel is ok, matter of fact we encourage it. Hope that helps....are you enjoying the Vertical Line Swing System?
Love the concept. My question is - I’ve been told to let the club swing down from the top, don’t try to make it swing, don’t muscle it. How is this accomplished with the vertical swing method? Thanks
Good question, the key to the downswing is a minor shift to the lead side early. This movement will help drop the club to the inside...make sense?
Todd loved this video but when u say turn hips where does your weight go. U sY start with 65 in your front foot but when doing the verticle line swing do you bring 75% to your trail heel.
Thanks
Great question, we like to see the weight move to the trail foot and work towards the heal ever so slightly. From this position it is much easier to swing the club from the inside. Hope that helps 👊
The problem I've had with dropping the right foot back is lack of turn on the follow through (even though both feet are flared).
Love the staggered feet tip for more rotation.. but if feet aren't square, won't that screw up the aim?
Feet should be slightly closed to the target with the clubface square to the target. Two cornerstone concepts of the Vertical Line Swing system. Full version here www.badliegolfbook.com/
In the last suggestion on finishing the swing with the knees touching, you should add that this isn't a posed position to look good but necessary to get the body turned with the arms so that you face the target; and moving the trailing knee towards the forward knee helps to accomplish this.
Thanks Joyce...are you enjoying the channel?
Hi Todd, Thanks for the vertical swing lesson. Heading out to the range to give it a try. I'm 68 and heavy. Every lesson I see, everyone is trim and fit. The reality is that I have a belly and large upper torso. Almost impossible to get arms in right position. Any tips for fat senior golfers?

I recently found you on the internet. Im 63 and have seen other instruction that encourages dropping that trail foot back to help with hip turn. I have been using it at the range and its working. My problem is my swing path is coming over the top and sometimes its so bad the ball comes right off the tip of the club. Is there a good way to lock in a proper club path in the swing.
Dale, you bet. Take a look at all our Vertical Line Swing videos and you will find your answers. The key is the hip turn combined with the lead arm vertical

Do you suggest using the Baseball Drill setup as a regular playing setup during a golf round?
Good question, we do have students that will use the set up in actual rounds. There are many ways to get it done...the key is finding YOUR way. Don't be afraid to think outside the box....
2 questions. Would it be more beneficial to have lie angle more upright on the irons for this type of swing?? Also. Any suggestions on grip size? Meaning I have heard going to larger grips, more in the palm with grip. Would that benefit this swing? Thanks!
A slightly more vertical lie angle is an option and will work with the Vertical Line Swing. Not a huge fan of the club sitting into the palms, we like it more in the fingers for most our students.
It’s like a variation of stack and tilt . Instead of hands coming in . The hands go up .
Great im 62 an my swing has slowed...what about for Hybrids an Driver?? Can I use still right foot back for these also with the Vertical swing? Cheers thnks mate...
Yes you can...great question. Here is a link to the full system if interested www.verticallinegolf.com/landing-page1620850340667

My only swing thought for 30 years has been turn and throw. Works like a charm. Have no idea where my arms are in back swing or for the forward throw or anything unusual in my set up, just parallel left. Really not worried about any "position". Oh, I forgot. It could work only for me.
This is a post all golfers should read. Lots of wisdom here! We tend to live in a time where golfers think more information is better. Just not true for most players IMO. As stated here, keep it simple. 👊
@@USGOLFTVshowI remember, Ian Woosnam after his Masters win when asked about his golf swing, replied "first I turn to the right, and then I turn to the left". Yes keep it simple.
Left handed, doesn' your drill (trail foot back) make it difficult to open hips on down swing?
Good question. The key is for the hips to be "opening" not necessarily the be open...make sense? Pointing the lead toe will also help
I like your vertical line swing, however what do you suggest for a senior that has no right wrist?
Good question, I like to see some wrist hinge especially for the “experienced” golfers. If you are having difficulty hinging the club, check your lead hand grip. It may be too far into the palm which makes hinging the club difficult.
Todd, what is a Pitch vs. Chip? Distance? Different swing?........
vs Chip
Good question. Length of swing. We consider any motion when the hands travel above waist height to be a pitch shot. Hope that helps! Are you a subscriber?
Thanks im just turned 60 im 6ft 5in tall and around 250 but never was long hitter even when I realised my bulbs needed to be longer then off the shelfs now of course have bad knees and issues with back now after 10yrs of not playing I'm trying to play again and ideals plz make a video

Hi Todd. I'm a senior golfer, 67, and although I play to a single figure h/c I have all the issues you mention, lack of flexibility and rotation. Also had 2 hip ops. I was at the range today and tried your closed, very closed stance approach. Alignment felt really awkward as it felt wrong but I managed to hit the ball further and pretty straight. Presumably stopping the hip rotation as you follow through stops the ball shooting left? Do you have any tips on alignment or do you just let hips, shoulders etc aim right and then experiment for what is best for you?

I had a lesson 3 years ago as you have just demonstrated but i,m afraid i abandoned it,now i,m going to have another go,i,ve been trying to swing more round my body,i,m a senior golfer, are you getting a full shoulder turn with vertical swing.there are a couple of teachers who are similar namely Dave Cardy and Don Trahan who say keep arms in front.S/J.
Thanks for asking. Keeping the arms in front is a good idea; however it requires certainly physical capabilities to execute...also, when the arms swing more vertical it is easier to keep them in front. This is one of the concepts we dive into in the full program www.verticallinegolf.com
Hi Todd. I’m 70 year old man. I really started playing golf a lot last year. My wife bought and had me fitted for a set of Cleveland Launcher XL Halos. I also purchased a Cleveland Launcher XL driver. My question I started playing with this year and was seemingly hitting them well. But of the last few times out it seems I am slicing everything. What should I do.
By the way I am taking lessons for a pga professional.

Todd, what type of shoe do you wear. They look like a Phil Mickelson pair but I didn't see any studs. I see you give lots of lessons on mats, are they soft spikes? Jeff
Been a FootJoy person for 30+ years, soft spikes usually now.
How does this 'vertical backswing' concept develop into a shallowing position during transition? I want to avoid the dreaded over the top move during impact.
Good question, the key phrase here is for the club to “be” shallowing not necessarily shallow. Therefore a backswing that is more vertical makes that move easier 👊
What drill helps with the down swing. I'm classic hands coming out an across.

Like this idea as 66 yr old who’s played since I was 20. Only questions I have: 1- You say hands go up along the blue line which goes through your neck but your hands go up over your shoulder not near your neck in your example swing with feet square to target. 2- in the end you advised to aim feet to the right and swing to the right but don’t explain how the ball goes straight down the target line with that swing out to the right? Would love if you could clear that up for. Thanks Todd
Larry, thanks for posting and the question. I cover all this and much more in my book, The Bad Lie. Here is the Amazon link if interested www.badliegolfbook.com/
Todd: Help me out? Where is the part about shallowing the club and making the lag happen? As I watch your live view and the position of your arms on the back swing, I do not see the shallowing portion. Pls clarify?
Eric, thanks for asking. It is key to note that the club need to shallow not necessarily be shallow. Being too shallow which is being taught these days in many circles can create its own issues. It you make a good pivot the club will naturally shallow.
I'm not a senior golfer but I have back and knee issues that limit my mobility...i have already modified my feet to what you are suggesting and it works however I dont have a lot of power and I think I'm still hitting my shots thin...my question though is how do you swing to the right like that? My instructor has suggested the same thing however I can't seem to hit it right...everything is straight down the middle with not a lot of power...im considering lengthening my clubs and switching to graphite to help with this...any tips would be greatly appreciated!
Art, good question. Focus on getting your arms to move quickly not the boys. As we age the arms become a better more reliable speed source. In our Vertical Line System we teach just that. 👍
Did you swing vertical at th3 end with right foot back using baseball drill?
Yep...
any way to place a stick marker to help ensure you are following blue line direction without getting in way of swing
Good question. We have not yet used a stick to help with this training. Let us do some checking...
