They revealed 3 Dragons here. The red colored scary dragon was Caraxes, the dragon of Prince Daemon Targaryen. Game of Thrones is set during the year 298 AC (Where season one begins). House of the Dragon will start before and lead into the Targaryen Civil War known as the Dance of Dragons which took place during the years of 129 AC- 131 AC, roughly 170 years before the original show. 4:02 Balerion the BLACK Dread dies before the events of this series, some 11-40 years before (11 before Rhaenyra is named King Viserys' heir, 40ish before the Dance of Dragons). That dragon is Caraxes the Blood Wyrm.
Paddy Constantine and rhys ifans are the reason I'm psyched to watch this show. Paddy is low key one of the greatest British actors, dead man's shoes is one of my favourites with Dr doom from the last fantastic 4 film playing his r-tarded brother. Great film
Ahh you sweet summer children, behold the dying of the dragons and beware If you think this story has a happy ending, you haven’t been paying attention…
One thing of note: Balerion was the biggest (in the history of Westeros) and of the original three the Targeryens used, the other two - Meraxes and Vhagar During the time of the conquest the sizes were as follows: Balerion (Aegon I.), Meraxes (Rhaenys) and Vhagar (Visenya) Balerion was never surpassed in size and died over 200 years old. Meraxes however lived to be either 62 or 120 and during the dance Vhagar was 181 years old which means we might not be getting to see Balerion.... But the very next biggest dragon - Vhagar The dragon flying over King's landing and at the very end is called Syrax, Princess Rhaenyra's mount

3:59 Balerion died in 94 AC. This series takes place around 103 AC, or about 200 years before the start of Game of Thrones. All of the dragons in the trailer, and likely the entire series, are unlikely to be Balerion, unless they change it up a bit from Martin's literary works.
This looks great honestly, it feels like the creators know how bad D&D messed up the ending of GoT and are trying to make amends. The behind-the-scenes featurette they released the other day gave me faith this would be good. I’m talking storywise of course, the visuals already look amazing
Harrenhall was burnt by Aegon the Conqueror after he'd arrived on Westeros. Harren the Black was the lord of that castle and was notorious for being vain and cruel. His subjects were terrified of him, and he basically forced them to build Harrenhall, the greatest castle there ever was. No standing army could've ever stormed it. When Aegon came he told Harren to kneel before him and swear fealty, but Harren scoffed at him and basically told him to get lost. When Aegon tried to threaten him, Harren reminded him that there was no way that Aegon's small army could get over his walls, and that he had more than enough provisions to keep himself, his family, his army and his people fed for years. Aegon, undeterred, told him that none of that would save him because when the sun dawned the next morning his entire family would burn inside those walls. He kept his promise. The next morning, Aegon and Balerion emerged from the clouds, flying down against the sun so that Harren's soldiers were blinded as he blasted them with dragonflame. The castle walls melted like tallow, and Harren and all his sons were destroyed within minutes. Many lords had learned the lesson by then and so when Aegon approached their castles, they simply bent their knees and pledged their loyalties. The only lords that put up a fight afterwards were the Baratheons, the Lannisters, the Gardeners (which were the lords of the Reach before the Tyrells), and the Martells. All of them bent the knee at the end, except for the Martells who resisted the Conqueror, and even managed to kill one of the three dragons, Meraxes, and Rhaenys Targaryen, who was riding the dragon. Dorne stayed unconquered for decades, until Daeron the Young Dragon conquered it in 158 A.C. He couldn't hold it, however, so Dorne rebelled again and killed the young king. The only time that Dorne truly became a part of the Seven Kingdoms was later when Daeron II came into power. He unified Dorne through marriage by betrothing his younger sister Daenerys to Prince Maron.
Harrenhall burned down because the Lord refused to bend the knee to Aegon the Conqueror, so he flew there on Balerion the Black Dread and burned the whole family and house inside, cursing the place. He wiped out an entire house in a day. After this, everyone in Westeros bent the knee including the King in the North, Tohrren Stark forever known as the King who Knelt.
The house with the Seahorse sigil is House Velaryon. They are vassals to the Targaryen's. In the books they also have silver hair and Valyrian features. They are the lords of the tides and their ancient seat is Driftmark. They move their ancestral seat to High Tide, filled with all the riches Lord Corlys Velaryon, the Sea Snake, garnered on his many voyages around the known world.
It's not the Black Dread, he died during Jaehaerys' reign, this is the reign of Jaehaerys' grandson Viserys I. The big dragon is very likely Vhaegar, the last of the 3 original dragons from the Conquest, Visenya's dragon. She was very old at the time and almost as big as Balerion.
Balerion IS in this series! I'm so excited! King Aegon rode him first, then King Maegor, then Princess Aerea & Prince Viserys. He died of old age at 200 years old.
We will see the mighty Vhagar. She is considered as the oldest dragon during the Dance. She is one of the original 3 dragons that helped conquer Westeroes. Vhagar is is slightly smaller than Balerion during this time. This is considered as the bloodiest wars.
The guy with the dreads is Corlys Velaryon. House Velaryon was also dragon riders from Valyria and by this time i think they ruled the seas. Maybe MAYBEEE had one dragon left.
Correction: the Velaryons were not traditionally dragon riders. Dragons were only ridden by Dragon Lords who were the elite houses of Valyria and the Velaryons (along with the Celtigars) were a minor Valyrian house. Not all Valyrians could ride dragons, only the Dragon Lords. Members of House Velaryon in Westeros who rode dragons did so because they had recent Targaryen ancestory.
Actually King Viserys I rode Balerion Black Dread once when he was 16yrs old. Black Dred was really old , and died a couple years after that , but Black Dred hasn't been dead that long. So we could get a flashback
I am super excited for this I been excited to watch this when it was announced and I really want to see your reactions with a big group when you use to give game of thrones reaction with a big group it was so fun to watch with you guys also the games you guys use to play it was so fun to watch
Y’all should watch or rewatch the Dance of Dragons section in the Season 5 GOT dvd that has the histories and lore narrations. That actually covers the broad strokes of what this show is going to touch upon.
Im curious if they are going to bring Balerion in this show, at least a flashback....cause apparently Rhaenyra's dad...Vyseris? He was the last rider of Balerion, he just rode it once but stilllll.
Where Danny's dragons came from is explained, but it took place before the events of house of the dragon. If you want to know the whole story you should read fire and blood, or there are lots of UA-cam videos breaking down fire and blood if you don't want to read what is essentially a Targaryen history book lol
The dragon from the minute 4:00 is CAraxes is the dragon of Daemon Targaryen. The biggest one in this show is Vagar is the one who they just show the feet. is 3 times more big that the one from the minute 4:00

Love love love how the dragons have more personality and colour. It’s also so sad knowing the lore and how it eventually ends. No doubt they will show which dragon possibly birthed Dany’s 3 kids as a hopeful note…before we remember how THAT ended!
It’s hopeful since they had the good sense to have GRRM on board. Something they should have done for Season 7&8 of GoT. Plus it’s a completed story so they can’t really stray as much.
Targaryens had 18 dragons before the Dance and dynasty flourishing. After the dance 2 dragons left who died out and targaryens close to extinction themselves. The dance destroyed them.
We saw the princess rhaenyra on Syrax, prince daemon and caraxes, and the end since it was the last show and was a slow reveal, I imagine its Vhagar, one of the first three to conquer westoros.
Technically Balerion the Black Dread WAS alive during this timeline. He was just very old. Viserys (the King) was his last rider & never bonded with another dragon after Balerion died. I think the show is showing the older Viserys tho, that's why Balerion (probably) won't be present on the show.
Gonna go in with no expectations but I am encouraged that the series is based on finished material. In my opinion GoT really messed up in the later seasons when the books weren't caught up -- the plot and quality of writing fell off hard even though the performances and editing stepped up
Looks really good its set in a good time period and the story seems to have a good setup. My only worry is that HBO is releasing multiple GOT projects so my only concern is that this show is just gonna be good not great like the last seasons of GOT versus the early seasons which were more heavy on the writing. They need to realize that the writing is what made a show like Game of Thrones reach peak television.

4:02 Balerion the BLACK Dread dies before the events of this series, some 11-40 years before (11 before Rhaenyra is named King Viserys' heir, 40ish before the Dance of Dragons). That dragon is Caraxes the Blood Wyrm.
the Red dragon is called Caraxes "the Blood Wyrm"
he is Daemon Targaryan's dragon (Matt Smith)
Paddy Constantine and rhys ifans are the reason I'm psyched to watch this show. Paddy is low key one of the greatest British actors, dead man's shoes is one of my favourites with Dr doom from the last fantastic 4 film playing his r-tarded brother. Great film
I love this crew for the GoT reactions! Feels like old times! Hope the couch stays this way with maybe an additional member like Nikki, Spidey or Pat.
just no Nahid :(
Suraj, ‘the Banana Knight’ is such a sus name lmao 😂😭
Ser Raj!
Ahh you sweet summer children, behold the dying of the dragons and beware
If you think this story has a happy ending, you haven’t been paying attention…
One thing of note:
Balerion was the biggest (in the history of Westeros) and of the original three the Targeryens used, the other two - Meraxes and Vhagar
During the time of the conquest the sizes were as follows: Balerion (Aegon I.), Meraxes (Rhaenys) and Vhagar (Visenya)
Balerion was never surpassed in size and died over 200 years old. Meraxes however lived to be either 62 or 120 and during the dance Vhagar was 181 years old which means we might not be getting to see Balerion.... But the very next biggest dragon - Vhagar
The dragon flying over King's landing and at the very end is called Syrax, Princess Rhaenyra's mount
Can't wait for Navi and the gang to choose "Wiolence" lol man it's been years but GoT is how I found you guys 👍
IDK if you guys are reading these comments, but the teaser for the trailer is because they will use this video as a UA-cam ad. The teaser is the 5 seconds before the ad becomes skipable.
The way this trailer is completely throwing people off making them think the succession battle will be between Rhaenyra and Daemon LMFAO
So I guess I’m part of the group of people that discovered the Normies through GoT reactions. Haha those were the days. I remember how huge the reaction group was too, there were like 10 of them lol
I'm so excited!!!! 😱🔥 The trailer looks amazing. And can't wait for the reactions as well 🤣
Well basically he is married to his niece and it's a scene of blood ties.
“Princess Rhaenyra was a different matter. Daemon spent long hours in her company, enchanting her with stories (…) He gave her pearls and silks and books and a jade tiara (…) He praised her beauty, declaring her the fairest lady of all the seven kingdoms .”
Daemon Targaryen
3:59 Balerion died in 94 AC. This series takes place around 103 AC, or about 200 years before the start of Game of Thrones. All of the dragons in the trailer, and likely the entire series, are unlikely to be Balerion, unless they change it up a bit from Martin's literary works.
The giant leg from Vhagar
They should do a "What If?" for seasons 7 and 8 lol
This looks great honestly, it feels like the creators know how bad D&D messed up the ending of GoT and are trying to make amends. The behind-the-scenes featurette they released the other day gave me faith this would be good. I’m talking storywise of course, the visuals already look amazing
To be fair. It's harder to mess up when the full story have been written already.
I love Rana’s crown, she is the true queen of the Normies
Harrenhall burned down because the Lord refused to bend the knee to Aegon the Conqueror, so he flew there on Balerion the Black Dread and burned the whole family and house inside, cursing the place. He wiped out an entire house in a day. After this, everyone in Westeros bent the knee including the King in the North, Tohrren Stark forever known as the King who Knelt.
Dragons, Rana in a crown...all is starting to seem right with the world. 🐲👑
The only dragon of the three that conquered Westeros that's still alive by this point in time is Vhagar. Visenyas dragon.
Balerion was still around for jahareas reign he just didn't fly very long anymore. He could be in the flash back parts.
@@borderlandish1140 was balerion the biggest dragon?
Hey guys, long time no see.
Good to be back since Game of thrones ended.
Keep up the good work. 👍
Princes Rana 🤴 🔥😍🤣.
It's Game of Thrones! Greatest show of all time regardless of the last season. I'm ready
Hardhome/BoB director Miguel Sapochnik is a show runner and directs 3 or 4 episodes of the upcoming show! Can’t wait!
At least, this series has a complete book series to take content from as opposed to notes and bullet points.
Talking Thrones is back baby
“ARE YOU READY TO BE BACK?”
Ah dun wun et.
Remember when Stannis’ daughter Shireen explains Dance of Dragons? That’s the story of the upcoming show!
Balerion IS in this series! I'm so excited! King Aegon rode him first, then King Maegor, then Princess Aerea & Prince Viserys. He died of old age at 200 years old.
We may see him in a flash back would be cool to see
I'm very Proud to Worked in House of the Dragon this is my Work 2:50 I Create the whole Arena .
We will see the mighty Vhagar. She is considered as the oldest dragon during the Dance. She is one of the original 3 dragons that helped conquer Westeroes. Vhagar is is slightly smaller than Balerion during this time. This is considered as the bloodiest wars.
Wasn't it Balareyon( during the conquest) that burned Haren hall? Pardon my spelling of the names.
@@joepops727 ok. I stand corrected. I thought they did when they came to Westeros.
Actually King Viserys I rode Balerion Black Dread once when he was 16yrs old. Black Dred was really old , and died a couple years after that , but Black Dred hasn't been dead that long. So we could get a flashback
Yessss! Was waiting for this! It’s gonna be one hell of a ride
Can't wait to relieve that moment
I am super excited for this I been excited to watch this when it was announced and I really want to see your reactions with a big group when you use to give game of thrones reaction with a big group it was so fun to watch with you guys also the games you guys use to play it was so fun to watch
Y’all should watch or rewatch the Dance of Dragons section in the Season 5 GOT dvd that has the histories and lore narrations. That actually covers the broad strokes of what this show is going to touch upon.
9:38: I want a series about Tywin’s rise to power
3:02 to 3:05 the jaegerist moment from attack on titan is too great
Can't wait to see what the intro looks like. I know wrong things to focus on but still
My hopes are high simply because it's already a completed story, there is already a beginning and end in place.
Im curious if they are going to bring Balerion in this show, at least a flashback....cause apparently Rhaenyra's dad...Vyseris? He was the last rider of Balerion, he just rode it once but stilllll.
He died way before this series so I doubt it
His Skull has a prominent place in the show.
The biggest one in this show is Vagar is the one who they just show the feet. is 3 times more big that the one from the minute 4:00
this gives me so nostlagia watching u guys react to GoT stuff. Good times...
Good to see ya all back.....very much missed your weekly GoT watch.......I know you had others....but House of Dragon will be different.....your knowledge and presentation style is great....
31 Days till House of the Dragon and counting
Looks so good. Seems to be nailing small details from the book that would have been easy to skip over. Lots of respect, gives me hope
Love love love how the dragons have more personality and colour. It’s also so sad knowing the lore and how it eventually ends. No doubt they will show which dragon possibly birthed Dany’s 3 kids as a hopeful note…before we remember how THAT ended!
F&B implies that Dany's eggs come from Elissa Farman, who stole the eggs from King Jaehaerys to pay for her ship, the Sun Chaser
I totally agree I want to see royal elegance and glamor. Rhaenyra has amazing dresses
Let's hope the writing is back on form.
All 17 dragons in House of the Dragon will have saddles as described in Fire and Blood, so what you saw were dragons with saddles.
We saw the princess rhaenyra on Syrax, prince daemon and caraxes, and the end since it was the last show and was a slow reveal, I imagine its Vhagar, one of the first three to conquer westoros.
GO BLIND INTO IT BELIEVE ME
I love the look of the Iron Throne.
I’m sorry but these are the best current normies 😮💨
Meraxes was killed in Dorne along Rhaenys I think you’re talking about Caraxes which was Daemon Targaryen’s Dragon
Technically Balerion the Black Dread WAS alive during this timeline. He was just very old. Viserys (the King) was his last rider & never bonded with another dragon after Balerion died.
I think the show is showing the older Viserys tho, that's why Balerion (probably) won't be present on the show.
Ayyy the og talking thrones is back!! Haha I miss the good ole days lol
Gonna go in with no expectations but I am encouraged that the series is based on finished material. In my opinion GoT really messed up in the later seasons when the books weren't caught up -- the plot and quality of writing fell off hard even though the performances and editing stepped up
Nice Hidden Cloud headband
You and sean tank top timing your uploads 😂??
Rana is a queen😌
the red and black dragon was caraxes i believe
I think yes,and the yellow is Syrax right?
@@eduardobeaufort2660 yeah im pretty sure that is syrax!
*referring to Rhaenrya* "She could be what Khaleesi could have been!"
*me having read the book* "......................😰🤐"
I’m over the moon excited for Jon Snow series
Looks really good its set in a good time period and the story seems to have a good setup. My only worry is that HBO is releasing multiple GOT projects so my only concern is that this show is just gonna be good not great like the last seasons of GOT versus the early seasons which were more heavy on the writing. They need to realize that the writing is what made a show like Game of Thrones reach peak television.
George’s interview pissed me off. Calli g everyone on the internet toxic for thinking last 2 seasons were not up to par and they are hesitant to watch. He mocked it. Real people feel that way.
@@Ashley_e the trailer was pretty impressive but I’m still not gonna get my hopes up
Can you link the skits they were talking about?
Chris where did you get your shirt from!!???😭😭🔥🔥
Bro I'm honestly so hyped for this
I'm impressed with the casting and the acting already looks top notch
If it's as good as even seasons 5-6 of GoT, id be satisfied 😌 tho hoping it's more so comparable in quality with the first 4 seasons
