They revealed 3 Dragons here. The red colored scary dragon was Caraxes, the dragon of Prince Daemon Targaryen. The massive leg you saw was probably Vhagar's - one of the 3 original Dragons of Aegon I, the conqueror and THE largest dragon in Dance of the Dragons. The final dragon was Syrax, the she-dragon ridden by Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen!
They also showed seasmoke burning a few people
The last one has green eyes, so it should be Vhagar… but I hope it’s not. It doesn’t look fierce enough
@@mirkosuzarteskarica9726 I am 100% sure that was not Vhagar. They will keep it a mystery until the show comes out. Also, the last dragon's scale color looked lighter. Although it had green colored eyes in the book, they can change it in the tv show. Also, if you noticed, the dragon behind Rhaenyra looks similar. So I think it has to be Syrax.
@@oshithanarangoda8901 GRRM's team commented on Vhagar's appearance that it has green eyes and bronze scales. Now we could be wrong but the green eyes and bronze coloring looked pretty clear there.
@@Jang9851 yeah, probably!
Shireen Baratheon talked about this the most in GoT
The main thing that i’m excited about is that George RR Martin actually picked Ryan Condal as the writer, because he said he knew my world, my characters and he will remain faithful to the material . One other fact is that Ryan whenever he wants to change something he actually consults George
George is a moron. He hand picked David and Weiss, then left them in season 5 to "Finish the books"...I have no hope or excitement for this new show...Hope it turns out good, but I can't even rewatch GoT let alone get hyped for this.
So making the Velaryon blacks is definitely canon ?!
rumor says ryan is also the choosen one to take over the books if George should pass away :d
@@avatarlhamo3063 it was GRRM's suggestion
@@avatarlhamo3063 Apparently it was George RR Martin's original vision, but he just never mentioned it in the books.
At any rate, it shouldn't have to be explicitly "canon" to imagine that there's black people in the world.
GOT is how I discovered you guys and blindwave lol makes me feel nostalgic !
Same here
Same here
Agreed. I miss the days when the show was An Event, seeing like 30 normies gathered to watch an episode always made me so hype :D
One of the dragon in the show will be Dreamfyre. Three of her eggs were stolen across the Narrow Sea some years before the civil war. There is a theory that those are the eggs Dany receives. Hope we may get some clarity on Drogon Rhaegal and Viserion's parentage
That happened when way before when her rider was rhaena no helaena
@@harsh_1910 True, but there could be... an easter egg? xD Anyway, they could throw a brief reference if they'd want to.
@@catxborsuq1 exactly. They could atleast mention that event (if GRRM want to hint about Dany's dragons parentage). Atleast we can see the potential biological mother of dragons. Dreamfyre could look a lot alike Dany's dragons.
@@vishnumohandas602 dreamfyre is a pale blue dragon so it doesn't look like them, but maybe helaena could say something about rhaena or corlys could say something about elissa but it would feel way too forced as it's something most people wouldn't even get
@@harsh_1910• Not necessarily; They showed in the trailer Damon Targaryen stealing a dragon egg, They could mention that year’s before Three Dragon Eggs were stolen in ever return
#1. D&D are not associated with this AT ALL #2. The story is already written so we don't have to worry about the show catching the book😂😂😂 I'M HERE FOR IT
But we have to worry about the show taking too many liberties when doing the adaptation, the way it's happening to LoTR
@@yiledute so? Its adaptation. If somebody wants everything as same they can read books/comics/novel/game
@@yiledute this will definitely be better than the LOTR show for sure.
@@MoviesAndTvShowsAreSubjective that is not what I said
@@yiledute if the show didn't take liberties with the source material it would end after 6 episodes. The book this is based on isn't a novel, it's a history. It doesn't go into detail about characters, or their motivations. It's a bare bones description of events told from multiple unreliable sources that are often contradictory.
Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in. "House of the Dragon" looks really promising.
shame we know how it ends eventually
Too bad they don’t have a dragon called Corleone. Then your line would have been 🔥
Olivia Cooke is a *BRILLIANT* actor; look out for her!
shes been in a shit ton of stuff shes far from a new actor
Yeah, also the actor playing the king is Paddy Considine, he’s a great actor. He played Father John Hughes in Peaky Blinders, he was in a couple of Bourne movies and the Cornetto Trilogy, he played one of the detectives in Hot Fuzz…where the meme of the two guys with moustaches pulling the faces is from 😂
Milly Alcock (young Rhaenyra) will impress a lot of people too
@@paulelroy6650 I know in how much stuff she's been, I'm a fan. Don't know where you got the idea that I was saying she was a newcomer.
@@teraphIl1000 youre making out shes not well known when she is
I'm slowly starting to get more optimistic and excited for this show. It looks great! I really hope this show will do well and wash the stain away that Game of Thrones ending has left on the series. Also I LOVE how they showed another type of dragon.
Dan and Dave have nothing to do with this show so it’s going to be awesome
Regardless of opinion about the last two seasons, I truthfully don't understand why fans were upset enough to the point where you wouldn't be excited about more things from the GoT universe. We were told early it wasn't the same writers and that George was working closely with them. Just felt like an overexaggerated fan reaction.
@@EraseMemoriesHD i still wont watch house of dragons because i know where it leads in the long end....thats how much Season 8 ruined it for me...
@@derfritz4550 tough luck, we’ll enjoy it for you!!!
@@derfritz4550 hahahahaha what a god damn loser you are
From a small green bedroom with questionable lighting, to this studio production with the iconic red couch, the Normies sure have grown up since 2015 🥹 Full circle moment to bring it back once again to the ASOIAF/GOT universe
Dany's dragon eggs came from the dragon Dreamfyre which we will get to see in House of the Dragon.Elissa Farman steals those eggs and sails Essos and sells them to the Sealord of Braavos. This happens 45 years before House of the Dragon will start off from. The eggs must have then come into the possession of Illyrio all those years later. This whole thing is not confirmed but it is strongly hinted at in Fire and Blood the book which covers the Targaryen history including the Dance.
The actor playing the king is Paddy Considine, he’s a great actor. He played Father John Hughes in Peaky Blinders, he was in a couple of Bourne movies and the Cornetto Trilogy, he played one of the detectives in Hot Fuzz…where the meme of the two guys with moustaches pulling the faces is from 😂
He’s fantastic. Seen him on stage too, so he has great range. There’s some strong British lesser known stage talent in this cast too which is fab.
He's also amazing in The Outsider on HBO
@@tealsquare not seen that I’ve heard he is good in it
@@vickster5001 yeah I’m glad they want that way and didn’t go for the bigger starts, Matt Smith is perhaps the biggest name in this, like Sean Bean was in Game Of Thrones I guess
Game of Thrones made me introduce the reaction universe in UA-cam & my first ever reactions buddies were Normies....so I will never Forget Game of Thrones & you guys
Been waiting YEARS for them to turn this story into its own show. And it looks sooooo good already. We’re in for a ride.
The dragon you saw with Daemon Targaryen (Rhaenyra's uncle) is Caraxes, he has a long neck like a giraffe, he's red, that's why he's called a bloodworm, the other dragon that only appeared with his paw was Vhagar which will be ridden by Laena Velaryon and then by Aemond Targaryen and was almost the size of Balerion the Black Dread and the last dragon at the end of the trailer was the female dragon that belongs to Rhaenyra Targaryen.
I'm most hyped to do the watch alongs with you guys when the season starts 😁👍
I’m wild giddy about a big group of yall reacting to Thrones related stuff again. Nostalgia.
You guys should avoid “spoilers” and go in as blind as possible. Most ASOIAF fans know mostly what happens, it will be cool to see you guys react to it. And from what I saw in this trailer you will be surprised by a lot of things.
I'm honestly very curious to see House Reyne in the series as they actually still exist here. And to see how the dynamic is between them and the Lannisters. And the black dreads guy is meant to be Lord Corlys Velaryon "the Sea Snake" a famous explorer of house Valeryon of High Tide, they're descendants of Valyria like the Targaryens and have an island closeby to Dragonstone. They also boast one of the most powerful fleets of Westeros. Fun fact: The Lannisters have been the richest family in the known world for thousands of years in lore due to the mines of Casterly Rock and the Westerlands. Even Valyria backed off from ever engaging with the Lannisters for unclear reasons though one possibility is that they feared an ancient prophecy saying that the gold of Casterly Rock would be the doom of Valyria. And I know it is practically impossibly unlikely; but I'd want to see a remake of Casterly Rock itself into its proper lore depiction, the titanic mountain fortress inspired by Gibraltar and which is famous across the world of Ice and Fire as far as Asshai.
The iron throne will gradually lose those swords as the show progresses, which will lead to the iron throne we saw in Game of Thrones.
Its also a metaphor of the targaryens slowly losing their grip on power.
Ew really? Why would they do that if that's how the throne is meant to look in the books?
Y would it lose its swords those swords are literally stuck together there just making the throne look more book accurate
@@ssplif5415
The swords on the floor beside the throne u dvmbass.
@@neonoires
This aint the book. This is the show.
They gonna do that to fix the continuity ofcourse. To have an explanatiom why the throne in GoT looks like that.
Seriously people yall.went to school but u werent able to realize this?
Yall dvmb.
I'm so excited!!!! 😱🔥 The trailer looks amazing. And can't wait for the reactions as well 🤣
I’ve never seen that finger in the bum skit but that was so funny I couldn’t stop laughing 😂
It wasn't Arya, it was Shereen. She told Davos about the dance of the dragons. Arya told tywin about aegon's conquest and a dragon rider Nymeria.
Paddy Constantine and rhys ifans are the reason I'm psyched to watch this show. Paddy is low key one of the greatest British actors, dead man's shoes is one of my favourites with Dr doom from the last fantastic 4 film playing his r-tarded brother. Great film
I'm watching you all over few years and you are really cool people ♥
the Red dragon is called Caraxes "the Blood Wyrm"
he is Daemon Targaryan's dragon (Matt Smith)
Ahh you sweet summer children, behold the dying of the dragons and beware
If you think this story has a happy ending, you haven’t been paying attention…
I love this crew for the GoT reactions! Feels like old times! Hope the couch stays this way with maybe an additional member like Nikki, Spidey or Pat.
just no Nahid :(
Shireen Baratheon talked about this in the OG show I believe. I know that this trailer only covers the first part of the story but I'm liking how the "true" conflict won't come until later when it's the Blacks (Team Rhaenyra) vs the Greens (Team Aegon II). I also wonder if every episode will have flashbacks. Also Spoilers (kinda??) below.

I feel like the finale for this season could potentially be when Alicent gets the crown placed on Aegon's head. Then again, I don't really know based on some of the scenes in this trailer and the released behind the scenes photos. Either way, I can't wait for that conflict.
they already revealed and confirmed that half of the first season will be the flashbacks and then there will be a like 10 years timejump midway through the season
@@iris-xo ahhh thank you. I tried to distance myself from knowing anything about this show aside from the source material and the final product lol
@@iris-xo it's not flashbacks it's a linear story, they will start at 101 ac and they will go from there there will be a lot of time jumps but a major one will be mid season
It all starts in council 101
@@harsh_1910 I know I said flashbacks so they’ll know what I’m referring to since they thought it would be flashbacks..

Rana looking fly today.
I am super excited for this I been excited to watch this when it was announced and I really want to see your reactions with a big group when you use to give game of thrones reaction with a big group it was so fun to watch with you guys also the games you guys use to play it was so fun to watch
Game of Thrones is set during the year 298 AC (Where season one begins). House of the Dragon will start before and lead into the Targaryen Civil War known as the Dance of Dragons which took place during the years of 129 AC- 131 AC, roughly 170 years before the original show. It begins with the Targaryens at the height of their power also when they had the most dragons, HBO confirmed there will be 17 dragons. This show is basically gonna show the beginning of their family's decline and how the Civil War between Targaryen family members over the throne which ends up spanning the entire continent as the other great houses get involved and start choosing sides led to their downfall and the extinction of dragons as well as them losing their influence as the Targaryen's nearly almost died out due to the conflict. It's a really great story and you can read about it in George RR Martin's book, Fire and Blood. Knowing the scope of this story, very excited they went forward with this prequel, cant wait, great reaction overall!
One thing of note:
Balerion was the biggest (in the history of Westeros) and of the original three the Targeryens used, the other two - Meraxes and Vhagar
During the time of the conquest the sizes were as follows: Balerion (Aegon I.), Meraxes (Rhaenys) and Vhagar (Visenya)
Balerion was never surpassed in size and died over 200 years old. Meraxes however lived to be either 62 or 120 and during the dance Vhagar was 181 years old which means we might not be getting to see Balerion.... But the very next biggest dragon - Vhagar
The dragon flying over King's landing and at the very end is called Syrax, Princess Rhaenyra's mount
Suraj, ‘the Banana Knight’ is such a sus name lmao 😂😭
Ser Raj!
So I guess I’m part of the group of people that discovered the Normies through GoT reactions. Haha those were the days. I remember how huge the reaction group was too, there were like 10 of them lol
Can't wait for Navi and the gang to choose "Wiolence" lol man it's been years but GoT is how I found you guys 👍
4:02 Balerion the BLACK Dread dies before the events of this series, some 11-40 years before (11 before Rhaenyra is named King Viserys' heir, 40ish before the Dance of Dragons). That dragon is Caraxes the Blood Wyrm.
Looks so good. Seems to be nailing small details from the book that would have been easy to skip over. Lots of respect, gives me hope
Good to see ya all back.....very much missed your weekly GoT watch.......I know you had others....but House of Dragon will be different.....your knowledge and presentation style is great....
I love the look of the Iron Throne.
Dragons, Rana in a crown...all is starting to seem right with the world. 🐲👑
They should do a "What If?" for seasons 7 and 8 lol
Can't wait to relieve that moment
The house with the Seahorse sigil is House Velaryon. They are vassals to the Targaryen's. In the books they also have silver hair and Valyrian features. They are the lords of the tides and their ancient seat is Driftmark. They move their ancestral seat to High Tide, filled with all the riches Lord Corlys Velaryon, the Sea Snake, garnered on his many voyages around the known world.
Can't wait to see what the intro looks like. I know wrong things to focus on but still
Remember when Stannis’ daughter Shireen explains Dance of Dragons? That’s the story of the upcoming show!
The way this trailer is completely throwing people off making them think the succession battle will be between Rhaenyra and Daemon LMFAO
IDK if you guys are reading these comments, but the teaser for the trailer is because they will use this video as a UA-cam ad. The teaser is the 5 seconds before the ad becomes skipable.
Harrenhall was burnt by Aegon the Conqueror after he'd arrived on Westeros. Harren the Black was the lord of that castle and was notorious for being vain and cruel. His subjects were terrified of him, and he basically forced them to build Harrenhall, the greatest castle there ever was. No standing army could've ever stormed it. When Aegon came he told Harren to kneel before him and swear fealty, but Harren scoffed at him and basically told him to get lost. When Aegon tried to threaten him, Harren reminded him that there was no way that Aegon's small army could get over his walls, and that he had more than enough provisions to keep himself, his family, his army and his people fed for years. Aegon, undeterred, told him that none of that would save him because when the sun dawned the next morning his entire family would burn inside those walls. He kept his promise. The next morning, Aegon and Balerion emerged from the clouds, flying down against the sun so that Harren's soldiers were blinded as he blasted them with dragonflame. The castle walls melted like tallow, and Harren and all his sons were destroyed within minutes.
Many lords had learned the lesson by then and so when Aegon approached their castles, they simply bent their knees and pledged their loyalties. The only lords that put up a fight afterwards were the Baratheons, the Lannisters, the Gardeners (which were the lords of the Reach before the Tyrells), and the Martells. All of them bent the knee at the end, except for the Martells who resisted the Conqueror, and even managed to kill one of the three dragons, Meraxes, and Rhaenys Targaryen, who was riding the dragon. Dorne stayed unconquered for decades, until Daeron the Young Dragon conquered it in 158 A.C. He couldn't hold it, however, so Dorne rebelled again and killed the young king. The only time that Dorne truly became a part of the Seven Kingdoms was later when Daeron II came into power. He unified Dorne through marriage by betrothing his younger sister Daenerys to Prince Maron.
Hey guys, long time no see.
Good to be back since Game of thrones ended.
Keep up the good work. 👍
Princes Rana 🤴 🔥😍🤣.
Love love love how the dragons have more personality and colour. It’s also so sad knowing the lore and how it eventually ends. No doubt they will show which dragon possibly birthed Dany’s 3 kids as a hopeful note…before we remember how THAT ended!
Chris where did you get your shirt from!!???😭😭🔥🔥
The only dragon of the three that conquered Westeros that's still alive by this point in time is Vhagar. Visenyas dragon.
Balerion was still around for jahareas reign he just didn't fly very long anymore. He could be in the flash back parts.
@@borderlandish1140 was balerion the biggest dragon?
Can you link the skits they were talking about?
Hardhome/BoB director Miguel Sapochnik is a show runner and directs 3 or 4 episodes of the upcoming show! Can’t wait!
Ayyy the og talking thrones is back!! Haha I miss the good ole days lol
Y’all should watch or rewatch the Dance of Dragons section in the Season 5 GOT dvd that has the histories and lore narrations. That actually covers the broad strokes of what this show is going to touch upon.
Talking Thrones is back baby
9:38: I want a series about Tywin’s rise to power
Nice Hidden Cloud headband
At least, this series has a complete book series to take content from as opposed to notes and bullet points.
I'm hyped af
We will see the mighty Vhagar. She is considered as the oldest dragon during the Dance. She is one of the original 3 dragons that helped conquer Westeroes. Vhagar is is slightly smaller than Balerion during this time. This is considered as the bloodiest wars.
Bro I'm honestly so hyped for this
I'm impressed with the casting and the acting already looks top notch
If it's as good as even seasons 5-6 of GoT, id be satisfied 😌 tho hoping it's more so comparable in quality with the first 4 seasons
Balerion IS in this series! I'm so excited! King Aegon rode him first, then King Maegor, then Princess Aerea & Prince Viserys. He died of old age at 200 years old.
We may see him in a flash back would be cool to see
You and sean tank top timing your uploads 😂??
I'm so hyped 🔥
It's Game of Thrones! Greatest show of all time regardless of the last season. I'm ready
I'm very Proud to Worked in House of the Dragon this is my Work 2:50 I Create the whole Arena .
GO BLIND INTO IT BELIEVE ME
I totally agree I want to see royal elegance and glamor. Rhaenyra has amazing dresses
I’m hyped because of the dragons! Haha
“ARE YOU READY TO BE BACK?”
Ah dun wun et.
Well basically he is married to his niece and it's a scene of blood ties.
“Princess Rhaenyra was a different matter. Daemon spent long hours in her company, enchanting her with stories (…) He gave her pearls and silks and books and a jade tiara (…) He praised her beauty, declaring her the fairest lady of all the seven kingdoms .”
Daemon Targaryen
3:59 Balerion died in 94 AC. This series takes place around 103 AC, or about 200 years before the start of Game of Thrones. All of the dragons in the trailer, and likely the entire series, are unlikely to be Balerion, unless they change it up a bit from Martin's literary works.
The giant leg from Vhagar
We saw the princess rhaenyra on Syrax, prince daemon and caraxes, and the end since it was the last show and was a slow reveal, I imagine its Vhagar, one of the first three to conquer westoros.
Wasn't it Balareyon( during the conquest) that burned Haren hall? Pardon my spelling of the names.
I still wonder if there going to pull the sense of time by pulling in more stories of the ice walkers and the dragon glass
3:02 to 3:05 the jaegerist moment from attack on titan is too great
My hopes are high simply because it's already a completed story, there is already a beginning and end in place.
can’t wait for this
Actually King Viserys I rode Balerion Black Dread once when he was 16yrs old. Black Dred was really old , and died a couple years after that , but Black Dred hasn't been dead that long. So we could get a flashback
this gives me so nostlagia watching u guys react to GoT stuff. Good times...
I expect Miguel to not dissapoint us!
31 Days till House of the Dragon and counting
Where Danny's dragons came from is explained, but it took place before the events of house of the dragon. If you want to know the whole story you should read fire and blood, or there are lots of UA-cam videos breaking down fire and blood if you don't want to read what is essentially a Targaryen history book lol
We be watching it!
It's not the Black Dread, he died during Jaehaerys' reign, this is the reign of Jaehaerys' grandson Viserys I. The big dragon is very likely Vhaegar, the last of the 3 original dragons from the Conquest, Visenya's dragon. She was very old at the time and almost as big as Balerion.
This looks great honestly, it feels like the creators know how bad D&D messed up the ending of GoT and are trying to make amends. The behind-the-scenes featurette they released the other day gave me faith this would be good. I’m talking storywise of course, the visuals already look amazing
To be fair. It's harder to mess up when the full story have been written already.
The dragon from the minute 4:00 is CAraxes is the dragon of Daemon Targaryen. The biggest one in this show is Vagar is the one who they just show the feet. is 3 times more big that the one from the minute 4:00
Harrenhall burned down because the Lord refused to bend the knee to Aegon the Conqueror, so he flew there on Balerion the Black Dread and burned the whole family and house inside, cursing the place. He wiped out an entire house in a day. After this, everyone in Westeros bent the knee including the King in the North, Tohrren Stark forever known as the King who Knelt.
I love Rana’s crown, she is the true queen of the Normies
The guy with the dreads is Corlys Velaryon. House Velaryon was also dragon riders from Valyria and by this time i think they ruled the seas. Maybe MAYBEEE had one dragon left.
Correction: the Velaryons were not traditionally dragon riders. Dragons were only ridden by Dragon Lords who were the elite houses of Valyria and the Velaryons (along with the Celtigars) were a minor Valyrian house. Not all Valyrians could ride dragons, only the Dragon Lords. Members of House Velaryon in Westeros who rode dragons did so because they had recent Targaryen ancestory.
@@joepops727 ok. I stand corrected. I thought they did when they came to Westeros.
Im curious if they are going to bring Balerion in this show, at least a flashback....cause apparently Rhaenyra's dad...Vyseris? He was the last rider of Balerion, he just rode it once but stilllll.
He died way before this series so I doubt it
His Skull has a prominent place in the show.
Meraxes was killed in Dorne along Rhaenys I think you’re talking about Caraxes which was Daemon Targaryen’s Dragon
F&B implies that Dany's eggs come from Elissa Farman, who stole the eggs from King Jaehaerys to pay for her ship, the Sun Chaser
I like the crown :)
What the actual f I was just thinking of your reaction and was like they haven’t done it then the notification.
Harrenhell burnt down doing before Ageons Conquest/during.
The king of Harrenhell saw his neighbor, other kingdoms get burnt by dragon fire and Aegon, so he built a big as fuck castle made out of Steel, and taunted Aegon, saying your dragon can't burn my.
Only to burn hahaha
