EE you said greater than 5 years of fuel, um thats wrong, its greater than 5 years of fuel to fully stock up, can you please read the last line in the fuel section again because that explains it
A bit of an informational thing but the general causing trouble is Cedillo, the Caudillos are a bunch of generals and militia leaders causing general instability. Love your vids btw!
I love how HOI4 ended up using the same name for the various Mexican Aircraft. Those were real plane names, but they were made for civilian use because the major powers didn't want a strong Mexico.
Two things EE. One, you should have grabbed a silent workhorse IMMEDIATELY upon getting 150 politcal power and you MUST focus EVERYTHING on research speed. Remember, those bonuses are cumulative. And the more things they apply to, the more you get out of each. You also need to exercise your divisions. Army, naval, and air XP is REALLY useful.
1) iirc correctly silent workhorse is gated and only pays back after several years whereas we have more immediate needs 2) research bonuses are relatively small and we need to become relevant fast. We don't have research slots of waste so our primary concern is industry and then buffing our infantry so that they are as good as possible when war happens 3) we do not have the spare equipment to keep exercising unit non-stop we need an army. XP isn't worth throwing that away over.
Yeah, some protein names can get absurd with the formulaic, 'write each amino acid in sequence' naming scheme. For example, Titin, which I don't think I can reproduce the formulaic name of due to comment length restrictions. It's 189,819 letters long.
One thing EE, as the USA guarantees both you and the central American states, it cant intervene until it does some national focuses and decisions (monroe doctrine ones). This was changed in MTG as far as I know in vanilla it was just the focusses now they need Senate support and a decision too, so you can fabricate south until USA does those.
The US guarantees only prevent foreign nations from declaring war in America, but American nations can fight eachother without the US intervening. They need the pax Americana focus for that, which I believe is either ahistorical or one of the last focuses they will ever do.
I guess EE never saw the additional research option in the tree next to the support cedillo branch being so focused on getting gold shirts and trying to rush legion of christ that lol
In 1936, Mexico was dealing with internal strife. As in all places and times, the lower classes had problems with the current system which the upper classes refused to acknowledge. President Lázaro Cárdenas was trying to solve some of these issues. Ignoring the will of his political patron Francisco Plutarco* Elías Calles. Cárdenas supported labor unions, redistributed land, and deported numerous callistas for their abuses of power. But not all was well; Calles and his supporters were furious with the direction Cárdenas had taken the country, and in particular how he betrayed them. In July, Cárdenas began instituting a series of reforms to improve worker conditions, which sapped some power from Calles and his supporters. He also began preparing to remove Calles from the country, which rocket the boat enough to offset those political gains...hopefully only temporarily. Cárdenas hoped to secure the support of General Saturnino Cedillo, another political supporter who had become distant from Cárdenas due to conflict over his reforms. With this in mind, he began preparing the country for war...whether internal or external. By the end of the year, Cárdenas and Cedillo were working together once more to make a better Mexico. By February of 1937, the Mexican economy was shifting to a war footing. That month also saw a conflict between the Mexican oil union and their corporate managers, over whether or not the workers deserved higher wages and if the corporations could afford them. Cárdenas supported the workers, angering many influential people; he thereafter had to take measures to counter those influential people, ensuring that their influence wouldn't put a new puppet in Los Pinos. In May, Pope Pius made a declaration about the state of Mexico, asking for religious groups and political organizations to work on solving social issues to prevent further unrest. Cárdenas supported this message, aligning himself with the church, as well as Cedillo's military. The rest of the summer was spent on (among other things) getting the military and church aligned with each other. In September, 1937, the Constitution was rewritten to incorporate Catholic morality into Mexican legalism. While the new Constitution was being ratified, Cárdenas began work on what critics mocked as "the Legion of Christ," a new political doctrine which focused on Mexico's militarism and identity as a Catholic nation. (One interesting side effect of writing these story things is that I need to read up on at least basic background material on the contemporary history of whatever nation EE is playing, which is generally not something I'd have otherwise been aware of.) *That is the real name of a real person. I'm surprised, too.
No idea why EE is so fond of increasing manpower, but if he can focus on technological advantage such as using more tanks, it'd save his precious manpower.
It's interesting that you've completely ignored the infantry support research area. I understand that having only two research slots forces you to prioritise, but if you're going to go to war, having Field Hospitals and support artillery help a lot
You should either invade the countries in the carribean and all the way to Panama or make allies. Or you can puppet them. This way you have protection on your weak spot and you can focuse your army on the west side of Mexico
EE the cristeros were like a guerrilla that fought the government because the government passed laws against the church( like no mass and things like that, they killed priests, closed catholic schools, etc), in fact there was a war from (as far as I remember) 33 till 36 between a lot of catholics and the government mainly in central and north of the country, their motto and what they yelled while fighting was “Viva Cristo Rey” that’s why they are called cristeros, that time in Mexico was nuts. And the “historical tree” while Cardenas was in power he exiled Calles because he was very powerful and he was the hand behind like 4 presidents (after Díaz no re-election was instated) and Cardenas did not like that so he exiled him and founded the party called Partido de la Revolución Mexicana or PRM (later known as PRI)that was in power till the year 2000 here in Mexico
Sinking the time ro research the computers that increase research speed are good early game to help maximize the efficiency of everything else you research. Won't be as necessary as you unlock more slots
Floxinoxinihilipilification [floxi noxi nihili pili fication] (a real word I swear) is the longest non-scientific word in the english language. It is the act of determining something as worthless.
HOI4's insistence on regarding the late-war development of the Volksturm, Vengeance Weapons, etc, as an integral component of Blitzkreig doctrine rather than a radical departure born out of desperation is... weird. Doctrines would perhaps be better represented as something variable, unlocking new features and improvements with research, but ultimately something that you can change.
@27:00 I dunno. To me it seems like the same mashing together of fragments that chemicals and stereotypical German phrase-words have, which makes 'the longest' be a lame claim to fame. Like there's some sort of typographical crisis and we can't afford to waste space characters somehow.
EE - There are longer words, such as "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" (adjective, Oxford Living Dictionary) and as a word it's really quite atrocious...
More comments for the comment god! And a copy of my comment which I wrote on the last episode just as I noticed that there already is a new one: " Please only kill the atheists in a WH40K setting or when playing a blood cult in CK2 By the way... When comes a CK2 series. There hasn't been any in a long time... "
the JHO its more of a hard Y sound followed by a hard O other than that great job trying to pronounce the words and keep up making my country strong and proud in this universe.

This whole new focus tree for Mexico is super interesting
28:57 And the player fails to realize history changed because Earhart didn't disappear in the Pacific.
I remember long ago when EE began playing Hoi4 , Luckily he still hasn't changed.
Like many others, I enjoy these gameplays and I hope to see more :)
These series are ace keep them up
I guess EE never saw the additional research option in the tree next to the support cedillo branch being so focused on getting gold shirts and trying to rush legion of christ that lol
I think (not spanish) the double l in Cedillo acts like an extension for the i (said like ee). The end result would sound something like Cedeelyo
Close, ll makes a y sound
Think tortilla
So there is no actual L sound, so Cedeeyo
cuba looks shiny down there.

Nice work! I hope you make more as this series goes on
Thanks for the History lesson m8
Hey, by the way -- EE, do you plan to do any Imperator: Rome material apart from that preview?
Thank you EE I love your HoI4
No idea why EE is so fond of increasing manpower, but if he can focus on technological advantage such as using more tanks, it'd save his precious manpower.
You have seen how few military factories we have right? No way are tanks going to be viable for us for a long time. 😪
@@EnterElysium all you need is a tank unit and you can steamroll south america for more factories. :)

EE you've got it all wrong. It's pronounced General Cedillo, not General Cedillo.
yesss, more the same day. Thank you EE
Its pronounced sidio. My wife's maiden name is Cedillo.
Either your making a joke or you need to rethink yourself. You can't help someone pronounce a word through typing. But I'm assuming you made a joke.

Mr.EnterElysium , the double L(ll in the middle) is pronounced Y.
