Nice review Christian. Knowing how big a Matheson fan u are based on your other videos, I was interested to hear your thoughts on this one. I’m a huge Matheson fan as well and this is my all time favorite Matheson book. It’s fantastic. How do you rank this compared to other Matheson classics?
Very well-rounded overview of this classic. It explorers so many aspects/kinds of horrors, many (most?) of them existential as well as, simply, a portrayal of his life from an emotional point of view. I believe the babysitter aspect is meant to bring home the sheer madness into which his state of mind and totality of his being is developing: He is becoming something new in evolutionary terms, in which he may be finding himself living outside all normal parameters. I thought the exploration of that a daring move on Matheson's part. Plenty of horror to go around in this tale.
A really great book. Some of the flashbacks are very harrowing and affecting. The mean kids picking on him, the predator in the car, even his affair with the little woman in the "freak show". A lot of really deep and thought-provoking stuff. I did see the movie, it's okay but having them play it out more in chronological order I think takes away from it.
I've just seen the movie, the idea of realism behind the book is.brilliant. Great review ❤ cheers from italy

Great review! I loved I am Legend but haven't read The Shrinking Man yet. I'm a Matheson fan so will need to get a hold of a copy.
Dope review brother👊
Can you review "I Am Legend" with Charleton Heston if you haven't already?
Can you put your short story collection reviews under their own playlist?
Well I’m the first comment in this video

Hmmm, GALAXY QUEST anyone? (no offense)
