The unbelievably good MISA - naked truth! It's both heart-warming and sad to hear nearly every professional exposed to our favorite japanese bands being so surprised they never heard of 'em. Sad because it demonstrate once again how the western medias are deaf and blind to everything coming from Japan, so much so that even professionals aren't exposed to greatness.
Truth!
Revenge Budokan, Po! As you may know, Asami, Midori and Harupi was at this show. Would be incredible if they had a collab, as Kanami tweeted to Midori's congrats tweet after the show, "I'm very late, but thank you for working with me until late the other day 😭✨I would be happy if we could have another chance to talk at length ☺💕 Please let us come to your live show next time 🙏 Midori's response, "Wow!!! Thank you KANAMI for your reply!! ❤I'd be happy to talk to you again 💓 Please come to our live show! 🔥🤘🏾We can only hope, Po! 🦍🍌
Yokohama "HATE?" has become my fave B-M official live vid. And this was one showpiece moment from a 3½hr+ concert that was full of them :)
Welcome to the Dark side young padwon
B-M had to grow on me, but I have nothing but respect for this band. Hard to believe they have been around for 10 years already! I found B-M around the same time I found Lovebites.
@@TheCyberMantis Cyber I do recall a time when you were a shall we say bit one-eyed about a certain group glad you are able to appreciate the gift that is Japanese Rock/Metal now maybe Nemophila or Glim Spanky or Hanabie p.s was so peeved I missed out on a ticket for the Lovebites London show
@@DavidMISAMISAMISACook I got a ticket for Lovebites tho so you can live vicariously thru my enjoyment.🙋♂️
@@TheCyberMantis Hi CM. I got into B-M first & then a year later Brandy introduced me to Lovebites. They were like the perfect Metal version of B-M's Rock to me. Of course i didn't forsee Nemophila coming along to make up the Trifecta :)
Thomas has a discerning ear for sure, but boy does he keep his excitement under wraps until the end. That's some focused listening. Thanks Joel for continuing to show your guests all these great Japanese female rock/metal bands.
I noticed that too! I was never sure if he liked or not until the end.
Thomas had a fair reaction. It's how I feel. My love for Lovebites and Band-Maid is equal and I love both bands for different reasons.
Lovebites is professional, prim, proper dressed for the formal ball. As one UA-cam reactor related his 10 year old daughter saying, "Lovebites proves even Princesses can play Heavy Metal." Insane talent.
Then there is Band-Maid. A bunch of hooligans lead by the chief hooligan herself, The Pigeon. This is said with all affection and admiration for the band. Again, insane talent. Band-Maid is a combination of prog, punk-pop, J-pop, jazz, funk, alternative rock, indie rock, classic rock and metal. Throw in a pinch of rap at times, too. Swirl it all together and you get one of the best bands in the world.
That concert was their 10Th Anniversary show at Yokohama Arena. Got the Blu Ray and saw it had something like 33 song. When I popped it in I saw it was around 3 hours 15 minutes. Watching Kanami squatting down looking at Misa play we can see the admiration she has for Misa and she has that admiration for all of her band mates.
If you know Lovebites, you can't call them "prim and proper".
@@ChrisPage68 Yes I can. That doesn't mean they can't let their hair down.
Well done Master Joel. You've created another fan of Japanese Rock/Metal bands. Welcome on board Master Thomas. Band-Maid's catalog is deep and diverse. Enjoy the ride down the Pigeon-hole. PO! 🕊 WORLD DOMINATION!!!🤘😆🤘
It's always interesting to hear another Bass player react to MISA-dono for the first time. Hopefully, he'll listen to more and with subtitles on so he can follow the lyrics, not just the English parts.
Thomas doesn't have to go to Japan to see them. They'll come to him. Follow their channel for community posts on upcoming tours.
Kanami!! 🎸🔥🤘
Excellent Joel. Keep the "Hate?" coming! He kept such a serious face that I was wondering if he was enjoying it, but you could see his face break just a little during the duel. 😁
Concentration - he had the same face during Lovebites, so I wasn't worried 😉
@@realdocloco I hadn't seen that reaction yet so..... 🤣
Nice job Joel
It's amazing how Band-Maid has rewritten the laws of nature: Hate brings Love! 😖--->🎀--->😍

Lovebites and Band-Maid, don{t get much better than that!
Them ladies can play a bit
MISA !!! MISA !!! MISA !!! the Barefoot Bass Assassin .
Joel, You should follow Nemophila with Unlucky Morpheus, for your friend.
MISA MISA MISA.....
These ladies are awesome but I can't help think how much more awesome they would be if the drummer was wearing a tiny hat RIP Tiny Hat
No, god forbid.
The tiny hat is long forgotten.
Forget about the hat, it´s long gone and history.
And it was uncomfortable for her.
I feel like the trifecta at the moment is Babymetal, bandmaid and Hanabie. Lovebites and nemophila are great but I don't think they can touch these 3 at the moment at least internationally.
I dig me some nemophila! Hanabie kicks ass... I need to bring them back in the rotation more.
