Agree, the best part of Model Railroading is building. Creating scenes out of your God gifted imagination. Can't wait to see what you build next. Happy Railroading Fren.
A little bittersweet to be sure Duane - it's always a little tough to say goodbye to an old friend. But, I'm with ya. I do enjoy running trains, but I really love creating my own world. Looking forward to the new journey - have fun!
Looking forward to the new build, I can concur the feeling of removing a layout 😮 but the joy of a new layout outweighs the gloomy 😊. Happy modeling and full steam ahead. 🚂🚃
So sad to know this is the end of my favorite railroad. I really enjoyed watching the trains run on this one of a kind beauty. I'm hoping you'll save part of it for the rebuild, Duane, and know that the new one will be done with just as much creativity. Wishing you all the best.
Like you, I enjoy the designing and building in this hobby. After 5 years working on my first layout, I decided it was time to do complete refresh. I have tried several new things on the new layout: mountains, tunnels, bridges, and reversing loops. Fun to learn new skills. Good luck on the new layout. Subbed.
Sorry to see such a beautiful layout torn down. But if you love building them we look forward to seeing the fork and spoon 3.0. Enjoy the build buddy.😊
Always hard to say good bye. That is a beautiful layout. But on the flip side you can rebuild it even better with those ideas you thought of but didn't do. Looking forward to seeing the next build.
Sorry to see it go Duane. I know the feeling. I had to tear out my three level basement empire last summer because we had to move to a ranch home. The two story house was too much for my wife to climb the stairs with her disability. I learned some good modeling techniques and some bad techniques to avoid on the new layout. Definitely a Learning experience. Good luck on the new journey.
I’m sorry that your beautiful Fork and Spoon is going but we each enjoy different parts of the layout more than others. If building and scenery are what you enjoy than it’s a win win for you. I hope the new space lays out better for you too. I’m looking forward to see what you will build.
And another one bites the dust .... Sorry to hear about the layout coming done, but happy that you have a plan for a new one..... Keep us informed and I am hoping for the best in your endeavor...... (Still working on the moving of MY layout to new digs, no plan as of yet, just thoughts and dreams....)
@@duanesforkandspoonrr10 gonna start back into in late July... maybe August ..... WAY tooooooo much to do before then..... and I am loving every minute of it !!!!!!
We are moving from the "city" to the COUNTRY ..... West Virginia to Ohio..... all in all, more relaxed, more content.... and best of all, already paid for.... her family's Cabin on Da River.....
Say it ain’t so? But I’m excited to see what you come up with next. I enjoyed watching trains running around whenever you posted them. Thanks for sharing!
Oh wow, definitely a tuff Decision, but you are a modeler thru and thru, so modeling is what you love, modeling is what you must do. Plus you can do some of the ideas you have in your head that you couldn't do on the finished layout.. can't wait to see what you do..
Sad to see The Old Fork and Spoon Go, But I will also be looking forward to the Next Build. I'm with You Duane I love working on my scenes one by one as I go. Right now its the Roundhouse installation for Me. Hope Gus be moving also??
Hope your new one is more impressive as this one such a great job tell him no returns after this one exchanges are prohibited lol if you live closer you could help me with mine I can’t get the creative juices flowing

I think that a lot of model railroaders feel the same about a completed layout. Sounds like a great trade with your son…..John
