So guys, i went by your word. I created a new class gun lancer and used the power pass to south vern because you said that everything before that dose not matter. Lets see how it will go. I will try out chaos dungeons, abyssal dungeons, guardian raids, legion raids and etc. i will also try honing and so on. i hope you enjoy the video and wont destroy me in the comments to much :)

which regions are you playing Actually, Valtan is a simple raid. What you need to do in the x30 mechanic is either to make a stagger by throwing wei or to go to the positions that 8 people tell them to take the blue orbs in their rows. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8.

There is another dude going through all the story and raid from 0 similar to you. He just got Valtan down recently. As you can expect, a pot of wipes but eventually he pulled through.
Nobody uses matchmaking outside of guardian raids. You probably want to hit find party and look for "learning" in the title of a party. But in the end the lategame is doing those raids minmaxing your dmg and upgrading your gear. Most players watch a guide on youtube before. Doing the raids blind will cause countless wipes and requires you to have a group willing to sit together and figure out mechanics. Not really something you do with random people.
As you seem to enjoy the story and horizontal part of the game I would recommend to just follow the questmarkers. Also almost every island has a seperate little story you can do and the characters marked with a heart you can upgrade their raport level, by doing emotes, playing songs or giving them gifts to get quests dedicated to that characters story. Besides that there is dailies which will lead to more horizontal progression when completed a couple of times. Most of this stuff leads to some form of progression for your characters like stats, skill points or runes for your skills. (Not necessary, but nice to have.)
If you want some challange type content to learn your character you can also try the towers.

Thanks for making this video so people can see what happens when you powerpass the story and stuff. I started Lost Ark when it first came to the West, I live in Australia for context. I played every mission from the start of the game all the way to Punika. I did as many adventures tomes as possible and still doing them now. I never understand people saying you get more content after power passing. I loved the main story and still catching up after taking a break for awhile.
Im not sure if its possible to start completely fresh and make it to T3. Main reason being when you need to vs lower level dungeons it requires certain amount of people. So it cant be soloed unfourtantly. But I loved most the islands, stories, side quest and collecting. Watching most of it being skipped and not really explained is a shame. Wish they made the older dungeons for gear to level up was achievable without a party. Great content and theres so much of it. The end game raids are amazing, but the early and mid game quest, stories, collectibles and levelling is fun as. I dont get why people always talk bad about it. Thanks for the video again, really helps me understand the new player experience.
Forgot to add I dont agree at all the the story is just 3% of the game. Such a weird statistic. I agree compeletly its fun to progress through out the game and have a story behind you that you understand and was there for and not just some cutscenes explaining it. Playing from the start and making all the way to the end is 100% more rewarding and enjoyable. I agree with you 100%.
I always go look up my skill rotation for my class that helps me a lot
the game was insanely fun starting when everyone was new and didnt know anything. its much much harder to get into now that everyones patience is 0 and with how punishing raids can be.
I highly recommend finding a guild to adopt you, or bringing along friends because ultimately, this is a game focused on difficult 4 to 8 man boss battles. having likeminded individuals learning these fights at the same time is the fun part.
I agree. I also loved the beginning up to start of end game at vern. And I thought was one of best adventures had ever done in a game and I’m the type that plays everything. I stopped not long after vern am gonna go back and play soon though. I actually got more bored once to vern. Not that was bad I liked it. Just not as much. All the best

For the event shop, buy the store out as soon as you can. Also, everyone who played this for a long time will tell you to skip the story, don't listen to them. It's like people telling a beginner motorcyclist to jump on a huge Bagger or 1000cc Race bike right away. It's bad advice. Enjoy the journey. It's an adventure, live it.

Would suggest to turn off other players skill effects, it just clutters the screen in raids (all but support ones)
Gonna be a bit of a timesink to learn all raids in the beginning in learning parties but its worth it if you really wanna enjoy the endgame.

this is so hard to watch i can see how bad this game is for a new player and nobody like to go watch guides
U will have better experience knowing the legions raids by a guide before enter it, most of players run valtan, vykas and kakul cause they are farming cards, they will quit before 2 or 3 wipes. If u want to do this legions with news players like u , look for partys that are calleds progs or learning, cards runs are for players that already know everything.

and the thing is that the raid you where playing are actually the "sweet spot" old gold time in term of difficulty and stuff that you have to learn, very moderate.
in korea they have a raid that last like full 30 min and you can wipe pretty much at any moment, and even if you don't wipe, if you don't have the best gear and play well you lose for time.
that how toxic the design of this game can get. even the most saint person in the world will start to become toxic at other people for failing. mark my word.
oh and you may choose to just don't play these harder contents... like u can also choose to don't play all the six character in your roster
but guess what? you are losing over 20k gold x5 out of 6. imagine how left behind you can get overtime in just a month.

Sorry to tell you but you fked up. As for new player (who missed JS server) playing anything other than support at this point of game make no sense. You will be gatekeeped as hell cus of your ilvl and roster lvl or play with only pepegas who dont have a clue about this game and do 0 progress (valtan/vykas is almost dead content now - and gl with finding pt for clown/brel/kay if you are solo player). My recomendation is to make new acc and make support (on na/eu bard=artist>pala) to have fun and be playing in this game. One more, LA have the most highest difficulty entry level for new gamers of all games ever, there so many things you need to know you should at least talk a bit with vet player.

As new player you dont have cards set, dont have tripods, dont have gems, dont have lvl 3 set, dont have max skill points and dont have ilvl so your value as dps is 0. You will hit a wall trying to find someone to play with on 1490ilvl or you will spend all gold for being bussed and hit same wall a bit later. 0 fun. Ofc im talking as F2P, you can spend 100k$ and skip it.

a lot of people make a support to learn new raids, earn the title and get experience, and then bring up a DPS to the same lvl. its not too hard to create 2 characters around the same ilvl early on.@@gugygugygugy
it doesnt matter if the majority of LA players want to raid and dont care about the story, dungeons, horizontal completions etc' - the raids are the multiplayer aspect of the game, you dont need any validation to enjoy the "solo" aspect of the game.
the game itself, the world, story and as you started to mention - the experience of "earning" to be in the late game in the way that you get to grow with the game from scratch and learn about it and indulge deeper into different contents and potentially raids yea
That's ultimately what seperates day 1 veterans from "new" players, we just got to fk around and do story and "accidentally" stumble onto the late game while it was meta lmao xD i didnt do raids cause LA=RAIDS i did raids because i reached "end game" and dailies and weeklies and was drawn into it and decided to learn sht
