guys i didnt quite understand so im sorry for it, but knowledge transfer means your char gets to lvl 50 as well and on top of that the chest with 302 gear?

I'll happily pay the gold to skip the slog that is questing, not that I'm in a rush to do it anyways. But man, knowing that I was able to skip 10-50 for a mere 600 gold was such a relief.
While I enjoyed the exploration from 10-50 the first time through the knowledge boost to never have to do it again is a huge selling point for me on this game
@@kiosy8 yes once you get to a certain point you get two free auto lvl 50 alts and then pay 600 gold for eevery other own to auto lvl to 50

The one thing I haven't seen mentioned in any guide or video is that after the initial 460 knowledge transfer, it then requires you to complete the main story quest with a 3rd character. So you can't just knowledge transfer over and over. It's every other time.
Nope, you will only ever have to complete the main story on one character. You can then knowledge transfer any/all alts up to that point (vern, rohen, yorn, feiton) so long as your alt meets the iLvL and you have the gold.
@@jasonhaase8485 no Adam's right on this one. At first I thought it was a bug but you can only do it on every other character
He meant that he can't knowledge transfer his 3rd alt to rohendel and he needed to quest it to get rohendel. Which is true. It's a dumb mechanic they need to remove

I always use the first knowledge transfer to get to Vern and then do all the other main stories because each time you do them you have a chance to complete more of your Adventurer's Tome by killing everything in sight. Some continents require 100s of drops for each collectible and, at least for me, it's a pain having to move your main everywhere to get those.

You forgot probably the biggest issue with knowledge transfer. One, you can only do it a certain amount of times. Vern can only be done 9 times total, so if you're like me and boost a char to Vern and decide it's not for you and delete, there goes your Vern transfer. Once you go past 9 KT to Vern, you have to manually level every character here on out outside of power pass. Second, for the subsequent knowledge transfers..pay attention here....once you have your main do THAT continents storyline you get an 'opening' to KT a char up to there. Lets say Yorn. Main does Yorn you can now do a Yorn KT. Once you do a Yorn KT you CANNOT do it again on one of your other characters. You need to manually do the Yorn storyline again. Once that Yorn story is finished THEN you get another 'opening.' This is why at the top you'll see 'char who completed quest 3/5' It means you have 3 chars who are labeled as finished the quest, so you need 2 more manual finishes before you can KT that 6th toon. Please remember this and don't get screwed lol.
TLDR: You can only knowledge transfer every other character. Do quest, get a KT opening. Do quest manually on a diff toon, get another KT opening.

Getting to know your class and have fun doing it is worth the whole questing and leveling journey. It's good to try out all skills and see what works before you get into groups and such. You'll enjoy your class more if you level them.
I used the boost for 4 of my 6 characters. It saved a lot of time, but I missed the journey, like finding mismatched colored gear or learning skills one at a time. I had a hard time getting used to the boosted classes, which I didn't feel in the characters I did the main quest. After all I have fun with the different classes, they are not just farm materials.
i think the game explains it actaully quite well, i just think players are so used to skipping story and text, that they are actually skipping some useful instruction. And then they are getting stuck at certain points.
for example i read most of this stuff and got into T3 within 100 hour-ish, without problems or looking up stuff just by reading and remembering important things the game tells you.

I think Rohendel is worth doing, because the quests and dungeons give T1 upgrade mats, making it easier to progress the gear you'll have.
very little mats, you get like almost nothing, dungeon completion is still gainable after the knowledge transfer as far as i know as it's boosts don't complete dungeons for you just the quest associated

@ZealsAmbitions you dont need to do the song quest, just create character, add as friend on your main, accpet your main as a friend and teleport to stronghold

this is hella worthed the grinding to lv50 was such a strungle that i wanted to quit the game and i play games like black desert and blade&soul this games took a tole on me so i'm just gonna knowledge transfer all my alt and safe the power pass for now
yo this is the best info on lost ark ive seen so far.
You should do an updated guide with the limitations of how many times you can use the knowledge transfers, I boosted a toon thru 460 and 600 quests and can't seem to do with a 3rd. No real guides I can find that explain why or the limitations
It's all explained in the transfer-bot. You have to do the main story more times manually to unlock knowlodge transfer for more alts. Like first time it's 1 character manually leved, 1 alt gets the transfer. Second time it becomes 2 manually leveled, 1 transfer, then 3 leveled per transfer. I think eventually it requires 17 manually leveled characters for a single knowledge transfer.
@@notlebre lvled a toon normally and then used another 460 boost and now it says 4/5 again, so think i would only have to lvl 1 more toon myself to then use the transfer again, so maybe its only every other you have to lvl yourself, not sure either way not planning to use it too much more
@@notlebre If I'd knew that beforehand I likely would've quit before getting into t3 and wasting my time with this game, that shiet hit me when I got slowed down at 1350 trying to push more alts into t2, then beng. Doesn't work. What a shit system

This might be worth it for some and might not for others, just play the game your way and enjoy it. For me personally that 1.5hr (or 8hrs wait), I'd rather be out doing collectibles and other things in that time

my question is do i need to do the yorn / rohendel quests if i want to boost another character?
For example: A is my main and i made every quests to t3
B is my second and i used all boost i can when i reached certain item lvl
C is my third character and i cannot boost it because it says "the characters did quests 2/3"
is it means i get kinda a ticket everytime i do certain questlines to boost those questlines?

I used a power pass on my alt and it was in vern with 302 gear. I didn't do the knowledge transfer so kind of confused about this.
Power pass is what the paid boosts are in other regions (pay real $$). It’s instant. The knowledge transfer uses in game currency, take 8 hours, and has ilvl requirements. One paid and one free system to accomplish the same goal.
Where do you get the gear from once the transfer is complete
@@deawanna You go to your Estate, complete the transfer, it takes you to Trixion to click the book, then takes you to Vern and you should have a quest in your log to click complete and receive the chest with the 302 gear set
Are the side quests worth doing on alts that you aren't knowledge transferring? Are they worth going back for on the ones you do transfer?
Wondering the same. Have 5 level 50s now most are t2-t3 not sure if going back is worth or not
Answered all the questions I had on how/why to use knowledge transfer. All I need to do now is decide whether to use it or the PowerPass to boost my first alt 😓
You get a few additional items with Powerpass that could be useful early on (like a different pet, which is useful for Stronghold Dispatches). Additionally, PowerPass is region-wide, while knowledge transfer is server-bound. Otherwise, they’re effectively identical.
You only get 2 PowerPasses total and 9 Knowledge Transfers per account.
I would suggest doing PowerPass first, since you get one additional PowerPass for doing your first one, unless you’re planning to play on 2 other servers in the same region.

Im confused.. My main is T3, and I have 2 in T2. My Paladin cant knowledge transfer Feiton, couldn't do it with Yorn either "Char. Who completed the quest 2/3", how come my gunslinger could do it but my paladin can't (I have the ilvl requirement)

Do you need to complete the main story of rohendel more than once on your main character to boost a 2. or 3. alt through the rohendel questline? For me after 1 boost to rohendel it doesnt work anymore

WTF, in a post where I asked if it was too late to switch mains at ilvl 500, several people told me to get to 600 because after yorn I could transfer the ilvl to an alt. And after watching this video it seems that was a lie...
You still need to get ilvl802 before switching though because of research, it's the correct advice
So my main has done every purple/yellow/blue quest I've run into. If I do the 600 gold knowledge transfear, what are the benefits of going back to the content on the boosted char to do side quests?

first one is always worth it if you want to safe time because not only do you get the level, you also get the gear. The others can be worth it depending on personal preferences
My alt is at 460, but won’t lemme do rohemdel knowledge transfer? Anyone know why? I’ve beat entire game on my main btw. & also it worked with another alt, but isn’t giving me the option on this one. It says I don’t meet requirements? But I’m level 460, & my main has beat it so what other requirements is there??
I save my gold. I only used the transfer on 2 alts. The rest I lvl up manually because I also wana get all the bits and bobs for adventure discoveries as well as more cards to Awaken.
I would NEVER EVER pay real money to lvl boost. That's not what normal people do, only rich kids with daddy's or mommy's credit card.

If I have multiple of the same class, I can't transfer between them my gear? By transfer my main upgrade gear and weapon and accessories to the alts so all of them are in the same ilvl
So I have my main which I did the quests on, now I have an alt I had boosted through knowledge transfer to t2, now I want to boost my 3rd alt to Rohendel 460 GS but it says 2/3 Required, do I really need to do the world quest? Someone in area chat said I could complete the guide and then knowledge transfer, but KT is still locked and I can't boost this character because it just says 2/3..?
I wanna be playing total 6 for the dungeons and out of the 6 I powerpassed 2 I like the least cuz I want to enjoy leveling characters I like.

High Zeal, love the content. I've tried this on my alts after my main finished feiton and reached 1k Ilvl but on my alts only the north Vern option is available, any ideas as to why?
He explains it in the video, you still need to hit the ilevel on your alt to do it. Rhohondel you need to be ilevel 460, yorn you need to be ilevel 600 the ALT has to have that ilevel to do the transfer

also when new characters come out will they be able to be knowledge transferred or will we have to use power passes or neither? not sure how the KR version was
For Kr version according to Zeals new character meant free boost but we don’t know what Amazon will do
@@crackedup3378 so when the new chars came out in kr they got a free boost to use on them and didnt have to level them fully up
@@xazed2137 yup that was the usual case. Sometimes boosts were granted 1~2months as part of seaonal in game events before the new chars officially came out tho.
If I straight up pumped my ilvl to tier 2, Can I straight up sail to Yorn, do the MSQ or do the Knowledge Transfer for Yorn without ever finishing MSQ in Rohendel? I remembered ppl skipping Shushire completely by sailing directly to Rohendel after reaching 460.
