DIY recovering a dash part in leather auto upholstery

- A customer brought in this dash piece to have it recovered. He never told me what kind of car it was from... He paid extra for the leather. He was really happy to see it when he came to pick it up. Included in this video are some of the Auto Upholstery Techniques I learned over the last 41 years. I hope you enjoy it!

Did you staple the back side or just left it with glue?
Hi! Contact adhesive is enough to hold it forever. Never use 3M spray adhesives as other inexperienced UA-camrs recommend. The reason I do not use staples is sometimes plastic parts are brittle and will crack or break. Thanks for commenting and also, Thanks for watching!

@@Hamada_family Hello Hamada, Oh, that would be 1/4 scrim, which is a fabric backed foam. Or you can also just use 1/4" foam instead. Please keep liking and watching!
