Hello 805, Thanks pal! Well you know I have been on my own under a rock for 44 years. I do not know what a Fisher space pen is.... Please keep liking and watching!
I started using contrasting thread for a bit specifically to work on my stitching since it stand out. It did help me start sewing straighter. Love your videos.
Hello Dana, Thank you so much for saying so. Yep, the contrasting thread color will show imperfections a lot easier. Makes you pay more attention for sure. Please keep liking and watching!
Great video, I don’t ever comment. But had to on this one. Great information and thank you for sharing your experience with the world. Greatly appreciate 😊
Speaking from Arizona where nothing last long in our 125°f heat and 15 hours of sun light every summer day. Skip bonded nylon every time and use poly thread. Nylon is stronger with no UV resistance. The canvas I sew goes 5+years before any stitching starts to show flaws. My boat cover failed after 11 years but the 138 black thread was still going strong
your lucky on your thread as a leatherworker I keep 3 sizes all the time, I use bonded nylon 92 for the smaller things like wallets and purses, 135 when lining stuff like holsters and 270 for the welts mostly on holsters, another great video keep them coming
Hello Tracy, Well you know all industrial sewing machines are different, yet similar. It's hard to show all of them when I only have one machine. Please keep liking and watching!
I've got a Juki but it's a bit older, mine only has 3 numbers after the LU 😃 it's a 562, but it does have a new motor and it's still working great. I'm a hobbyist so it's plenty good for what I need.
I thought you were going to start laughing a couple of times there Richard...I need to streamline my operation...My mother in law says "why do you need 5 sewing machines?" I guess the answer is because I make clothes...Now that I have a few years of watching you Richard, I am learning how to do upholstery where the money is and one machine works fine. Be well and thank you for the video..Keep liking and watching!

Enjoying your videos very much. Purchased a non working Juki yesterday, and think I've got it fixed. Wish i had more time for R&D, but @78 this is a steep learning curve. Sewing stores here in S.Oregon freek when you mention walking foot. Where can i purchase quality parts? Please be specific, and keep up the great information. Good luck on boat. Cheers H
Hello Edwin, I love hearing good news like this. Sorry to say that I do not know where to get parts as in 44 years of doing this, I have never had to take a sewing machine in for service. Not even once. Please keep liking and watching!
@oldschoolautoupholstery that was interesting tuning this up. Reminded me of the first time I rebuilt a CVCC carburetor with the factory kit. 33 steeps if my memory on. Next one will be easy. Servo on its way.👍
@oldschoolautoupholstery Everything was out of adjustment and all screws were torqued to the max. Don't know how it got that way with little use and no damage. Repeated most adjustments many times, think I've got a winner. New servo in 5 days, excited.!

@@oldschoolautoupholstery Great tip! Worked fantastic, in fact, since I used a skinny lead mechanical pencil with very light pressure, I didn't need to wipe it down after. Thanks again for your hel....AAAAAAHHH!!!!!!!!!
