I bought a 2017 Toyota 86 with 30k miles. The minute I got in, I yelled like a little boy “This is not a car, this is a toy!!” I walk to work b/c I live so close to it, but on weekends I take the long route to run errands or see friends because the car is fun to drive.
Literally such a fun car to drive it never gets old!
For me it’s between this and an Abarth 595 competition! I can’t wait to get something!
Get an 86!
Get the 86!
Like your car man, love the color. I sold my F80 (DCT) a while back and been looking for FRS/86/BRZ to practice manual on.
Thank you! Definitely fun manual car and very easy to drive!
Selling the f80 for a 86 is a w choice my friend
@@ClarionLevaR Yea, I've driven one before and it's quite fun. Been reading a lot about the new GR86 and people are complaining about various issues, especially the RTV. Did you run into any engine issues with previous generations?
@@p_xl982there’s multiple things that could happen varying on different ownership however I would just make sure that all the recalls are done and you shouldn’t have any problems with the car.
I have 281138 miles on mine right now. 2013 FRS. Just bought a 2024 GR86. I think I like the 2013 better. Other than the 86 has the bigger engine.
Original engine and trans? I'm on the fence about getting one. I see so many with blown engines
@@romeotran yes original eng and trans. I don’t race it. It’s my everyday driver. 100 or so miles a day. Bought it in 2012.
Why do you prefer the 2013?
@@Itsdjsigi I prefer the frs for the feel of the steering and the feeling of the ride (more raw and solid feeling). The GR86 is a bit mushy in the steering and softer in the ride feel. I still like the GR and I will keep it. I’m sure I will get used to the feel. Just think the frs feels more like a race car.
Had mine since 2017 still love it
Best car!
Great video friend, I’ve had mine for almost 5 years now and been through only 2 motor 😂
Dang! That just means you love it! 😂
@@Casey__Jones dude it’s my dream car!
@@ClarionLevaR me too! That’s what’s up!
what are you wheel and tire specs ?
18x9.5 on 225/40
Selling my frs was my biggest regret
Aw man. Get another one!
im 6’3 do u think i’ll fit
You should be able to
im 6'2 and fit in mine perfectly fine, and you can always get a new seat with low profile seat brackets if you want more headroom for a helmet if you want to track it.
Im 6’ 2” 220! Got a 24 BRZ TS! Lots of room.
