  • With the Lynsey B back on the water the plan was to some sea trials and then get back to work. However, with northerly winds producing some heavy swell off the East Lothian coast, the plan had to change. Also Barry had made a bit of a 'Boo-Boo' when he fitted the new deck wash pump, he forgot to fit the earthing straps. So it was back out with the tool kit once again!
    Barry also takes you for a walk around the harbour.

    I can appreciate how much work / maintenance has to be done with a boat. One needs to stay on top of it. Well done.

    Hi Barry it was nice to meet you at the harbour a couple of weeks ago, good to see that you managed to get all your jobs done! In Holland we use Linseed oil with siccative as a preservative on metal parts of engines etc. as it is enviromental friendly and easy to use.

      Sorry I couldn't talk any longer. Everything that week was time critical 🙈🤣🤣🤣
      Oooo, now that's a handy tip, thank you, I do love using environmentally products as much as I can when you own a boat.
      I'll certainly look into that.😍😁👌
      Thank you so much for this lovely message.

      You are also quite right. It does never end. It doesn't stop a grumpy Scotsman complaining about it because that's all like he feels like he's done since the boat went in the water the 1st time.🙈🙈🙈🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

    Hi Barry, does the harbour dry out on all low tides or is it just on a big set of springs, you must need to be time your days work carefully if that's so, your getting better weather now than we are down in the southwest, soon be time to get the girl working !!

    • @onemanandhisboat
      @onemanandhisboat  3 місяці тому

      Hi Rick.
      Thank you for your comment and support 😍😁👌
      Yes, the old harbour dries out every tide. The new harbour is nearly dry in the spring tides, so timings are critical. You should have seen it when I had the bigger boat. 2.5 hours after the bottom of the tide, before we can get back into the new harbour 🙈🙈🙈🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
      So yeah, I'm glad I have the GM21 now. It doesn't draw as much depth.🤣🤣🤣🤣
      Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

      The damaged creels will be repaired, and the ones beyond saving will probably get stripped down and then taken to a disposal site.
      I hope that answers your question 😁

    Barry I may be wrong but I thought you had to use tinned wire on a boat for electrics 🤔

    • @onemanandhisboat
      @onemanandhisboat  3 місяці тому

      Hi Robbie.
      You are quite correct, tinned wire all the way for running your electrics, however earthing you can use normal earthing wire ( the thicker the better), but it all depends on preference and how deep your pockets are as tinned isn't cheap.🙈😬😁👌
      Thank you so much for your comment.
