thank you very much for sharing this Jacob! I'm in the mist of wedding planning and finding the cost of everything like an endless pit, my partner feels even more strongly about all the wedding cost which was why we initially was going to elope but now need to plan a wedding instead. Not to mention we're the only ones that don't drink or likes to party 😂 It was really nice hearing it from your perspective about the day and how you feel about the reality of the cost of everything as sometimes i feel like it can be a very bride focused topic ☺
My pleasure, thank you for watching!! To be honest how your feeling now is exactly how I felt at the start of planning the wedding too, but you just have to plan it bit by bit and eventually you’ll have the entire day planned and costed for. There’s no doubt it is a very bride focused topic, but I think the groom should definitely try and get involved as much as possible because it will make the day so much more worth it when you see it all come together at the end, i know for me it made me appreciate it so much more on the day. I am going to post my wedding video on here at some point for people to see exactly what it was like and what our money got us 😊
thank you very much for your advice! Hope you don't mind i've relayed it to my partner and he's relief too! We're actually going to have a sit down tonight and talk about everything that's important to us so we know it's our priority to include them! That sounds wonderful! looking forward to your wedding video! 🤗@@JacobBurchell
Thanks for the in-depth breakdown of everything, although I am single, I would like to start budgeting for my wedding now as most people don't realise that the average wedding is around £20k. I mostly want a low-key wedding, so I guess I'll just have to find someone who wants the same thing.
Thanks for watching! I can honestly say I didn’t think it would cost us £20k+ to have the wedding we wanted, but it’s funny how once the ball starts rolling it’s hard to stop it. Ultimately though I wouldn’t have changed a thing, it was an incredible day and one that I will happily remember forever, so my advice would be to spend whatever you feel comfortable spending and prioritise the important things.
We got engaged a week ago :) started to plan already. We are breaking down our budget atm. Already drafted guest list will be a small micro wedding. Please share your wedding video!
Congratulations on your engagement! If I had one bit of advice I would say don’t be afraid to make decisions that are just for you and your partner, after all it is YOUR day. It can be easy to make decisions that keep everyone else happy, but don’t forget to have the day that YOU want.
Currently in the planning process of my wedding. My partner & I are not particularly bothered about a videographer as we can’t justify spending the money to rarely rewatch our wedding film, plus photography in my opinion is more important. (Also our photography quotes have been £2000+… yikes) Nevertheless, I am kind of scared in case we live to regret skipping booking the videography…
Personally I would book the videographer… I felt exactly the same before our wedding, I didn’t think it was needed and was a waste of money, but nearly 2 years on I’m so glad we had it. It’s great to be able to re-watch it from time to time and to show people who weren’t there. But ultimately it’s your wedding and you need to do what is best for you and only you know that. Good luck with everything, I’m sure it will be amazing! 😁
@@JacobBurchell hiya! I meant like a decorator to decorate the venue, but I think from your wedding video, I saw that you had a bit of table decor with the runners, etc. Did the venue do that, or did you have to do so yourselves?
@@xxmamaxxable Ahh i see what you mean. No we didnt have a decorator, anything you can see decoration-wise was done by ourselves the day before the wedding.
Want to see the wedding video please ❤
Thanks for watching!! 😁

Hey, thanks for watching!
What do you mean by decor?
