Great video. I was considering this watch before I saw your review. Your saying it's worth the asking price is tipping me over the edge. You are one of the best reviewers out there, with your detailed and unique style of reviews. (I'm glad you didn't use your usual phrase at the end of this review though - champagne watch, but not lemonade money!).
That ring underneath the base of the handset is such a smart thing to do, looks much more refined that way. Also it has a beautiful cap on the base of the seconds hand, which is much appreciated. The Patek Philippe Calatrava doesn't have any of those features.
Thank you for watching. I have 156 videos on my channel; everything from a 10 Euro Casio F91-W to a 19K Euro Rolex Daytona. I have always reviewed; low-tier, mid-tier, and high-tier pieces. In the early days of my channel I reviewed my Tudor Black Bay, and Rolex Submariner Date, for example. So it isn't a case of going upmarket in the watches being reviewed. What has changed is in the early days I was buying watches from Amazon, and AliExpress using my own funds. Then my channel grew and I began receiving loaned pieces, then gifted pieces, and being paid by brands. I am now able to get brand new high-tier pieces on loan for review; hence reviewing more of them. I will continue to also review low-tier, and mid-tier pieces on my channel. Regards, #WR4K
@@watchreviews4k No problem, it’s good to see the high price ones reviewed as well. Though I can’t see how these are worth $11,000 here. That’s a bucket load of money for a watch. I can afford to pay half that if I wanted but why when there’s so many great watches for a fraction of it. I still love my blue RLG Odyssea, just would have preferred it a couple mm bigger. Personally I won’t be choosing a watch with AR on the top side.
The watch is ok, but the deployant clasp is horrible. It's destroy the pleasure to wear this beautiful watch! Is not possible to use it normally, I'd have to buy another leather strap with a normal mechanism.
Should this have had a thinner case and say, 100m water resistance, to make it even better? Ofcourse no one in their right mind would take this piece swimming, but does 30m genuinely mean it won't suffer if it was dunked accidentally?

I think it's a daily piece. it's a bit bulky to be considered a pure dress watch, also dress watches are more commonly in gold etc. The daily piece usually means it can be worn as a dress watch or still look good in a pair of nice kakhis and a t-shirt, so I think it qualifies

Thank you for watching. Glad you enjoyed it. Regards, #WR4K
this is exactly what i was after, a simple complication that is suitable for everyday use with inhouse movement.

Thank you for watching Stiles. Glad you enjoyed it. Regards, #WR4K
11,000 dollarydoos in my country. You’re certainly going upmarket in the watches being reviewed. About 10 grand outside of my upper limit.

Does this have to be a dress watch, I wonder if you could wear this in more casual outfits ? As a daily driver?
Thank you for watching James. Yes, it would be an ideal daily wear piece, which could also be used as a dress piece. Regards, #WR4K
Good review ,thankyou
Thank you for watching Keith. Glad you enjoyed it. Regards, #WR4K

why? you just don't like deployant clasps?
The watch is ok? Iwc makes some of the finest watches in horology, the clasps are also fantastic, you obviously have never tried one on

@@watchreviews4k amazing. Thank you. Now to find a deep discount on one!
One of the most beautiful watches I have ever seen. Stunning.
First I thought a Portugieser for 4K euro😂😂
Thank you for watching Alex. Regards, #WR4K
A daily piece? LMAO this is a dress watch!
Thank you for watching. Regards, #WR4K
A change of the strap will determine whether it's a casual or dress watch.

Portuguesers have been around for about 100 years, yes they can be worn everyday
