Why not hire a management company? That's what Linus Tech Tip did so he could get back to his roots. You have a great brand, just a suggestion. You are supported 100% whatever you all decide to do.

Linus didn’t hire a company, he founded his own media group and served as its CEO up until recently. It took about 10 years for him to fine tune everything so that he could finally let go of his management job and focus on content creation purely. You can’t just hire a bunch of strangers to manage your main source of income, this has to be someone you can trust.

I can honestly say, you've been a big help to me. I found you on Skillshare for your After Effects course a few years back and have been following since. I run my own business in an industry where everyone says "man you're lucky you get to work in that and I'd love to do that" but they don't realize the burden it is to run a business, support a family, friends, employees and maintain the joy you have for that work. It is extremely draining (ironically this led me to UA-cam to change things up). But it is tough. You're never off-work, trying to please, and people (although very nice) are always pulling at you to do this, what's a tip for this etc... It's very challenging and I'm glad to hear you figured it out and are getting away and back to what makes you happy. Because at the end of the day, you can have financial successes and all that stuff and it's great, but we get one chance at this life and it will be about the experience and feels you have with the people you want to share them with. Stay creative and I'd love to see what you create when/if you ever create it because it'll probably be some of your best work (of some already great work).

  • @RBGEscuela

I do understand perfectly your situation Jordi. My channel is the biggest one in Spanish about photo and video. And my online school as well. I started taking it seriously in 2015 with the goal of doing just what I loved to do. And without knowing it I created a little monster with now 20 employees.
but in the road I understood my mission was to create this and help hundreds of thousands of people to become professional photographers and videographers.
Yes, I stopped doing the creative work, but I understood that it was because I was approaching the school with the same mentality that I had when I started. I created a creature, a child (virtual one), and I made it completely dependent on me. So I was an employee, a non stop worker, because the creature grew and grew. And then with the help of some business people that I met and I hired, i understood that I had no idea what a business actually was. I was just an entrepreneur with people that assisted me. And that is a completely different picture. I was necessary for almost every step of the machine, and an owner of a true business has just one goal: to become completely unnecessary for the machine.
you can quit and do another thing, that is understandable. But if you do it because you got burned, you will regret it. Because you built something amazing, something beautiful that helps millions of people. That is something that ia needed and is good for the world. You don't need to kill it. You just have to find the right person to teach you how to transition your channel into an actual company, with all the systems, processes and automations so that it works almost independently from you. That way you just invest your energy in whatever you are the best at and you really enjoy.
i highly highly recommend the book Work the system, by Sam Carpenter.
i write these words from my heart, because believe me, I understand you 100% (I actually run two big separate channels about completely different topics).
I hope this message gives you some energy to search in that direction. Big hug from Spain and thank you for your amazing work Jordi 💪🏻🙏🏼

When I was on stage I talked about every great youtubers putting their content online and you were part of it. You are still a big part of my learning curve as I've learned everything on UA-cam.
Now I'm working in Paris for FW and you are part of my success. Thanks again !!!

Honestly, I am the kinda guy who rarely subscribes and comments on UA-cam but this channel is really an emotion for me. I learned so many things from you guys , and I really loved your energy Jordy. It's really unimaginable the amount of stress behind those funny and smiley faces. But I really support you to take care of your mental health, and wish you a very good luck for your future. I am really glad that I was a part of this journey.
    You all are awesome ❤

During the pandemic, like most people, I felt pretty hopeless. I decided I wanted to learn premiere pro to occupy my time. I came across your class. It helped me more than you know and gave me much needed hope. Still use premiere almost every day now. So thank you. ❤

I hope this title isn’t true 😞 You’ve been such a huge inspiration to the community and I’ve always learned so much from your different topics on filmmaking. But I can understand burnout is real and it takes a lot of effort to keep it up.
Wishing you all the best on your next steps forward, and hopefully we can see your content and that amazing energy once again ☺️🙏🏼

Thank you for being an inspiration and motivation for so many years. I am feeling, what you describe. When I started to be creative for a living this changed a lot. I'm feeling the pressure, realizing the responsibility, missing being creative just for being creative, for the fun, for the idea, that popped out in my head. I'm wishing you only the best. Hope, you'll find a way back to creativity and maybe one time at this place. Thank you again :)

Just this evening I was telling my trainee editor about your channel (she is editing our videos as a side gig to fund her college) and this drops! Your channel is the reason why we decided to move away from the uber boring videos that we used to make and try and become more creative. Of course we all are just a bunch of noobs when it comes to editing, however with your channel's help, we are learning new things every day so its sad to see you go away. With that being said, am sure you will be awesome in the next projects that you undertake cos of your work ethics, so here's hoping to see you guys again on some part of UA-cam. 😊

I see alot good youtuber burnout...but why? is it the amount content being alot versus the amount of pay ?

    • @PierreMcCray
      @PierreMcCray 5 місяців тому

I don't think it has anything to do with pay as youtube pays fairly well, I think it's more so it becoming a job for people. Most creators started posting cause they want to and now they're posting because they have to.@@CdeeqFilmmaker
