Hello from Florida. We are considering visiting Alberta this summer. If we do we will definitely visit Calgary and Edmonton. Looking forward to it, if we decide on it.
Edmonton is very nice place the houses such good price 👌 👍 👏 😊 ❤️ 😍 👌 👍 👏
Utility and property tax costs in Edmonton are high. I would budget for 600-1000/month to pay for utilities and prop tax for a small house.
Take it easy with the bell man. It’s blowing my fucking ears off.
Same 😢
You explained it like a pro !!! Much appreciated 👏👏

My girl and i are thinking of moving to Canada, and I've been looking between Edmonton, Vancouver, or Toronto.
Don’t even think to come Vancouver .
Thank you for your great information. It was really helpful and eye opening.
Stop with the notification bell sound it's unbearable
Going from those numbers you quoted and the salary a job has offered, im definately better off and thats mpving from the uk.
Thank you!
The problem of moving from Vancouver to Edmonton is that I'd pay about 200/month more in income tax. Edmonton also requires car ownership which can add burden. I calculated living in Vancouver proper without a car vs Edmonton with a car and I'd still save about 200-300 a month. But is Vancouver premium worth 200-300? Probably. Also you have to factor in that there's no rent increase limit in AB. No "lock-in" of cheap rent. You can't really win anywhere in Canada.
How's newer one bedroom rental in a nice neighborhood in Edmonton? I calculated 1600.
That calculation changes drastically if you want to buy a home which costs like 4 times as much in Vancouver than in Edmonton. Also you can pick an area in Edmonton where a car is not required, e.g. Along the train lines or the city center.
How did you calculate that number
Why not live centrally in Edmonton? You don't need a car. It'll get even better when the Valley Line West is completed.
Yaki never edmonton again live there saw it never go back ....

Is it easy to find pet-friendly rentals?
