Pete, your video is truly excellent. You’ve explained everything so clearly and thoroughly. I really appreciate how you’ve broken down complex concepts into easy-to-understand parts. The visual aids and examples you used made it even easier to grasp. Overall, it's a very well-produced and informative piece. Great job!

As a nurse that handles infusions full of drugs and electrolytes on a daily basis I can attest that some do not mix well. Especially calcium. I’m just lucky enough to have two computer programs and multiple pharmacists at my disposal. Great content.

Outstanding topic Pete - sometimes the DIY crowd gets ahead of itself and throws a bunch of products together and wonder why the solution looks like sludge!
    1. Read the label.
    2. Jar Test
    3. Never assume like products are compatible

Good video. I personally exclusively hose end spray so I don’t mix since the container is just not big enough. Also spraying one product at a time basically ensures that I’m always out there doing something which I like lol.

Great video. Having used that Green Effect with other liquid fert and having it coagulate in the sprayer tank, I will testify that finding out what shouldn't be mixed together is better done NOT IN THE SPRAYER TANK!! Utter mess, complete clogging of the tank screens, and I ended up wasting much of the fert.

    • @jeffreybryson

Fall! not summer. Mow 1-2 notches lower. Aerate, starter fert, overseed, maybe top dress thin areas, water water water. Stay off of it for longer than can stand to watch your overgrown lawn. You'll love seeing it in the spring!
GCI TTTF the last 2 falls and this is the best my lawn has ever looked, especially the front that has 3 trees stealing fert and water from it.

The Fe and Ca will cancel each other out in the same tank. It will mix fine, but should be applied in two different sprays.

I agree. Just because there is no visible macroscopic reaction does not mean a microscopic reaction didn’t occur. Calcium can chelate.

Hi Pete, this is Donna from Bx NY
I can only use a 2 gallon spray tank but there is a product that I have to apply that says I need 60psi but my Scott sprayer is not giving me a strong spray. What do you recommend? I am 68 yrs young and have Osteoporosis which causes a risk of fractures and cannot carry a back pack or heavy sprayer!

Pete, appreciate you showing off the bad mix of Cal-Tide and Phosphorus. We saw what happens if you do that in the sprayer, my question is what happens if they mix on the turf? I have not used Calcium liquid products, but would be curious to see if you get a similar result if you spray a calcium mix on the turf and then follows up with a phosphorus spray shortly after. How long would you need to wait to avoid issues?

    • @GCITurf

You can spray them separately with zero issues
