I was a latch key kid in the 70s and 80s and when I see those celebrities that passed it’s like losing a long lost friend or family member. Thank you for the years of memories and the escape from reality.
Crazy how as a kid, time seemed to stand still for me. Summers lasted longer and unfortunately so did School years! LOLOL But as I have gotten older, the years really do seem to fly right by. This channel has always reminded me of my childhood in that I could see the sadness in my Parents faces and hear it in their voices when someone that they had admired as younger people died. I completely understand now what my parents were going through back then! The Memoriam also alerted me to a few people I recognized but was not aware had passed as well. I have come to appreciate your passion Steve for at least preserving the memories of those we grew up watching. I did enjoy That football Player "Tag" too! Merry Christmas To ALL in here!
Glad you also included John Amos. He was great in Roots. Was annoyed that he wasn’t included in a different compilation from another UA-camr. Had to laugh at the comment for OJS. Regarding your final morbid comment, don’t worry, you look quite healthy. I’m sure you’ll be around to make many more of these. Thanks.
Thank you for adding Felix and Foxy he was such amazing human. I still say Foxy knew her daddy was not going to make it and will herself to die cause she didn't want to go on without him and now they are together again forever.
Getting sentimental over the deaths of people I never knew --- who themselves usually played people other than themselves --- is an odd emotion, but I fall for it, every time . . . especially when I consider them at the peak of their careers. And someone will never fail to pass on, between Christmas and New Year's, always making year-end memorials incomplete. 🎄
Yes, it's so comical when we hear "Our thoughts and prayers" nonsense . I couldn't care less about a good number of the people around me much less some sports figure or actor. Nothing more annoying than hearing of the poor Royals and how everything affects them more than the people who pay their bills.
I KNOW! It’s disgusting! So many 1970s-80s Icons, that made life better for everyone, well except OJ, he COULD’VE just lived a normal life, but NO! I got to be young at the peak of Human existence, the 1970s!
Thank you for sharing these. Many of them I had not heard had passed away. Two that jumped out at me were Joe Flaherty, ironically, I was just watching a DVD box set of old SCTV comedy skits, was thinking of how hilarious he was. The other is Melanie Safka. Go back and watch her performance at Woodstock. It was epic. And a Merry Christmas to you too.
Steve, Thank You so much for this. I cried... In Thanksgiving, for most of them have impacted my life here on earth. Life Is A Vapor. Thank You for your work and this channel. I wish You and Yours a Merry Christmas... Full of Love, Peace and Happiness God Bless 🙏
"When we are young, wandering the face of the Earth. Wondering what are dreams might be worth. Learning that we're only immortal, for a limited time." Dreamline by Rush. Lyric by Neil Peart 1952-2020. RIP Professor. Great tribute video to those that have passed on, thank you.
Wow, so many people and I remember them all. At my age, hardly a week goes by without somebody I know or know of, dying. Steve, I hope you don’t come to your own sad ending anytime soon! Thanks for your videos. I enjoy the information and your presentation of it.
Today, Dec. 21st - Rickey Henderson. Great baseball player, fun guy to be around. I was introduced to him many years ago by Jose Canseco. We all had so much fun together!
That Football Player got me 💀 Very nicely done. Kreskin passed away in my hometown. I always was fascinated by him! It was nice to see Frank Fritz too!
R.I.P. Carl Weathers, Chief Hampton Forbes on IN THE HEAT OF THE NIGHT. R.I.P. Dabney Coleman, McKittrick in WARGAMES and "Bad Man" in MUPPETS TAKE MANHATTAN. R.I.P. Shannen Doherty, Brenda in BEVERLY HILLS 90210 and Jenny on LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE, especially the episode "Marvin's Garden," where she learns to overcome brain damage with the help of a doctor who is losing his eyesight. R.I.P. Bob Newhart, who I saw on NEWHART (the innkeeper), ELF, and on BIG BANG THEORY. And I saw the episode where he orders Moo Goo Gai Pan, which they thought was Chinese baby food. Speaking of bad men, I liked how you acknowledged "That Football Player;" so many worse things have been said to and about him. Thanks for uploading, and have a Merry Christmas.
Thanks for compiling this list; several that I either didn’t know about or had forgotten. Enjoyed your videos this past year. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to you & your viewers….Dan
Miss them all, but I can remember Richard Simmons starting out, exercising on a carpet covered plywood riser, on cable access. The guy had nothing at all at the time, and if he helped save just ONE fat person, that alone made him worthy! These people made our lives better!
That football player. Very appropriate. Loved it. He has met the real finale judge. Slick lawyers and ignorant prosicuters wont get him out this time. There may not be double jepordy here in the US. But there is a judgement on the other side.
Another great video Steve. I loved the entry of O.J. I was talking with a sports card dealer many years ago and told him I had an NFL card of O.J. as a Buffalo Bill and was wondering how much it was worth. He told he could look it up but he didn't really want to and that I could check it out myself but that I was on my own. He just didn't care enough about O.J. to want to buy it. I don't blame him. I do wish it had his signature on it though.
Thank you for this. I had forgotten some of the actors that were on the list and sad to see some of my favorites are no longer with us. Like Bob Newhart and Louis Gossett Jr and James Earl Jones.
No, I tried memberships once and nobody was interested. Thanks for your support, it's not really about money. Your gift made me feel like I did something of value. Thanks again.
Thank you for this video. A lot of these I didn't know about. I hope it's okay that I chuckled a bit with the way you did the "Orange Juice" guy. Merry Christmas and God bless! 🎄
This years in memoriam really hit me hard 😢a lot of names I grew up watching on tv and movies, and about a minute in and the tears are flowing, and each next name I see that I was so fond of starts creating another fresh stream of salty love 😭 for all these dumb celebrities that apparently I somehow cared about….whew, i need a stiff drink right about now and it’s 10am - THANKS dude lol 😂 I appreciate your videos a lot
It’s disgusting that I’m so busy trying to just survive that I didn’t even know about some of these! The last 2 years has been DEVASTSATING for 1970s Icons! America has gone down the drain in so many ways, deaths is the ONLY one that couldn’t be prevented.
Toby Keith was age 62, not 52 when he died.
Thanks, I'll change that in the upcoming revision.
The way you handled "That Football player"...LOL!
I figured that would get you going.
It was still more respectful than he deserved.
Seeing this made me get an instant and visceral respect for you!
To be honest, I've never understood why Americans call it Football when the player runs carrying the ball. It's more like Rugby, with padding.
I held back the tears until Shannon Doherty then they started flowing, so many good people, thank you sir
Same here 😢
❤😂shannon Doherty will be missed she passed away too young REST IN PEACE 😊😅YOU WERE A SWEET PERSON

Thank you. Even though it is sad to see who passed away, I like to think of this video as another way to remember them. God Bless🙏
I appreciate you watching.
Life goes by so quickly, wish I could do it all over again. Take care Steve
Yes it does!
Not me
Don't we all! At least many of us wish we could start life over again.
I miss 1973-1986, just Awesome.
Same here.
Thank you. I didn't know about a few of them. 😢

I happened to be watching good times when I saw this.
Thank you for adding Felix and Foxy he was such amazing human. I still say Foxy knew her daddy was not going to make it and will herself to die cause she didn't want to go on without him and now they are together again forever.

Very profound and well put! 👍

Carl Weathers also played in the Canadian Football League for the BC Lions. Loved your OJ description 😂
WoW! Some of these deaths surprised me I was totally unaware! Thanks for posting! RIP 1 and all♥

@@3373-g8z Only God knows for sure what he did/didn't do and I am sure if he was in fact guilty he has faced a judge who will deliver justice.

Thank you so much for adding Felix Vasquez, he was a friend and a great man. He will be missed very much.

Thank You for your work and this channel. I wish You and Yours a Merry Christmas... Full of Love, Peace and Happiness

Beautiful. Thank you
Wow, so many good memories of these people.
Bill Hayes was my good friend’s uncle. He had a lovely long productive life with no sad ending.
We lost a Lot of good ones !! RIP !!
Rest in peace.
Great work as expected! Your comment on OJ was priceless...
I never miss a Life and Sad Ending video but a couple of these still surprised me. 😢 Thank you Steve, we love you y'know. Happy Christmas 🎄
I'm not a hugger, but if you were here....
Usually when I see a video of this type, I have no idea who the people are. But, in this video, I know of ALL of them! Thanks.
Thanks for telling us about some of my favorite actors, and I love how you addressed 'that football player.' It is far more than he deserved. 😊
Eric Carmen singer-songwriter
As one who was a teenager in the 70's, his death hit hard. One of my crushes!
He had some great songs in the 70s. His death took my by surprise. All by myself, he's gone.
Gary Graham died January 22, 2024 of a cardiac arrest at age 73. He was in Alien Nation and Star Trek.
Thanks for the list. Many special people gone and may they all RIP. Enjoy your channel all year. Merry christmas happy new year to you.

have moved on from the public view. There were 4
I had missed.

That’s a great story!
Nicole Brown should have researched that "Bully" instead of "Idol" & movie star worship. Would he have beat her as much if she were black???
There are so many deserving to be on the list. We will just have to wait until next year.
Good one.
Thank you for this. I had forgotten some of the actors that were on the list and sad to see some of my favorites are no longer with us. Like Bob Newhart and Louis Gossett Jr and James Earl Jones.
Just when i started to get a little emotional 3:15 happened and made me burst out laughing!
Thanks!

Thanks for the retrospective. And you are correct about OJ. 😂
OJ was one of the ones I hadn't heard about!
Dying this year that is
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR.
That football player... 😂

You mean OJ? The man who was acquitted by a jury if his peers. Civil trial was just a money grab.

"It is appointed unto men (all people) once to die, but after this the judgment" (Hebrews 9:27). Praise Christ. ❤
Great thank you
So sad. All these great celebrities are gone.
You are my new hero....the O.J. comment!! LOL Thank you for all the work you put in but especially for that line! Happy Holidays!
Happy Holidays to you and your family Steve!!!
You too, my friend!
Dang. Lotta real gems in there. RIP, every one.
@3:19 I appreciate the " That Football Player" wording. Perfect!

I'm still alive due to natural causes. See you next year Steve.
hello again from Eugene Oregon! thanks for that steve
Merry Christmas Steve! Great video ❤❤
Thank you for this video. A lot of these I didn't know about. I hope it's okay that I chuckled a bit with the way you did the "Orange Juice" guy. Merry Christmas and God bless! 🎄
Great retrospective - respectful with a humorous touch. I watched the TCM in memoriam last night, yours was much better.
Their versions inspired me. Thanks for what you said.
How nice of you to include Felix and Foxy Lady.
Ron Ely 😢
I’ll try to include him if I revise this.
It's sad that not even 'Find-a-Grave' has a memorial to him.
🕊🕊🕊🕊
You also have a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 🎉🎉
wow, i hadnt heard of some. these channels really put life in perspective.
3:15 HILARIOUS!!
Thanks for that one!
Great Video Steve.
Thanks Tracy!
First time seeing you. I subscribed! Great, respectful memorial.
Thanks for subscribing, I appreciate it.
There always seems to be a "big one" right before the end of the year.
I'll be ready. I can correct my mistakes on this one then. lol
Phil Lesh, The Grateful Dead.

Dave, you always make excellent videos! Thank you for doing what you do!
Dave's not here man.
It’s soo nice not to have to listen to AI commenting. You are the best and at least I knew all the actors!!
Well there were a few I didn't know about. Happy holidays Steve.
"That Football Player" 😂😂😂😂
PS the way you addressed that football player and your final bit of noir chicanery won my sub 😂👍
Jim Otto, David Gail, Jim Donovan, Akira Toriyama, John Robinson, and Liam Payne.
Steve that OJ Simpson entry had me rolling! 🤣🤣🤣
I think the biggest name I could add would be Jerry West, who is not only in the NBA Hall of Fame, but his image is used in the NBA logo.
Merry Christmas and all the best for you and yours in the coming New Year Steve!🌲
May they all Rest in Peace!
felix and foxy back together loosing her took a lot of fight out of him
Merry Christmas Steve 🎄
It is almost here!
I miss Bob Newhart!!!
Thanks.
Wayne Northrup ,Dynasty and Days of Our Lives

I loved James Earl Jones in the movie Field Of Dreams
Well merry Christmas 😢😢😢
You keep spelling dementia wrong. BTW thank you for this.
It is a very common spelling error. I will fix it in a redo version.

That football player - good one. 👍
The year isn't over yet.
Wishful thinking I guess.
William Russell Enoch, 19 Nov 1924 - 3 June 2024. Actor, The Adventures of Sir Lancelot 1956-1957.
I had thought that both Ethel Kennedy and Bob Newhart died before this year.
And concerning OJ. I didn't know until I saw this?
❤❤❤
Kreskin was truly amazing.
And ironically, for a "mentalist" died of dementia complications.
